There is doubt about Dempster's rule of combination because of counter-intuitive results when dealing with conflict information in intelligent ***,many modified combination rules have been presented in the literature on multi-source information fusion and reasoning with ***,the issue of identifying conflict among evidence has been ignored.A new parameter measuring conflict evidence called the conflict distance parameter is defined to determine whether there are conflicts in evidence based on the analysis of existing conflict *** the same time,a decisive rule,which a reasonable conflict measure function should satisfy,is put ***,an analysis of two typical counter-intuitive situations is given,showing that the new parameter can not only satisfy the decisive rule,but can also attain the same effect as a two-dimensional measure when deciding whether to use the Dempster's rule of combination,and can exceed its effect when deciding whether to use Dezert-Smarandache theory.

In order to solve the problem between searching performance and convergence of genetic algorithms, a fast genetic algorithm generalized self-adaptive genetic algorithm (GSAGA) is presented. (1) Evenly distributed initial population is generated. (2) Superior individuals are not broken because of crossover and mutation operation for they are sent to subgeneration directly. (3) High quality im- migrants are introduced according to the condition of the population schema. (4. Crossover and mutation are operated on self-adaptation. Therefore, GSAGA solves the coordination problem between convergence and searching performance. In GSAGA, the searching per- formance and global convergence are greatly improved compared with many existing genetic algorithms. Through simulation, the val- idity of this modified genetic algorithm is proved.

According to Chen's theory, topological differences are perceived faster than feature differences in early visual perception. We hypothesized that topological perception is caused by the sensitivity in discriminating figures with and without "holes" . An ERP experiment was conducted utilizing a passive paradigm to investigate the differences in perceiving figures with "hole" and with "no-hole" . The results showed differences in N170 components between figures with "holes" and with "no-holes" . The inversion of the "hole" could influence the latency of N170, but the inversion of the "no-hole" could not, which indicated that global features are processed first in the "hole" perception whilst local features are given priority to the "no-hole" perception. This result was similar to studies concerning face and non-face objects, suggesting a configural processing of the "hole" .

The nuclear shapes of 187,189Tl were investigated theoretically in this work. The total routhian surface (TRS) calculations were performed for N=106 and 108 isotopes of thallium (Z=81). The single-particle energies were obtained from the deformed Woods-Saxon potential, with the Lipkin-Nogami (LN) treatment of pairing. It is found that the collective oblate rotation coexists with the high-K prolate rotation. Superdeformed prolate rotation is included in this calculation.

High-Resolution Transgressive-Regressive Sequence Stratigraphy of Chang 8 Member of Yanchang Formation in Southwestern Ordos Basin,Northern China

The reservoirs within the Chang 8 Member of Yanchang(延长) Formation in the southwestern Ordos basin are characterized by low *** is significant to build a high-resolution sequence stratigraphic framework for the exploration and development of these *** on an integrated investigation of well logs,seismic data,cores and outcrops,the Chang 8 Member is interpreted as a 3rd-order transgressive-regressive(T-R) sequence,which consists of six 4.h-order T-R sequences,namely,K1,K2,K3,K4.K5 and K6,respectively,from base to *** 4.h-order sequence comprises a transgressive systems tract overlain by a regressive systems *** K1 to transgressive systems tract of K4.it is characterized by the landward shifts of facies and overall retrogradational sequence stacking pattern due to accommodation increase more than sediment supply during the 3rd-order base-level *** distributary channels are mainly deposited in the transgressive systems tracts,and the interdistributary bays,sheet sands,and small-scale mouth bars are primarily developed in the regressive systems tracts in response to the 4.h-order base-level *** the regressive systems tracts of K4.to K6,it is characterized by the basinward shifts of facies and overall progradational sequence stacking pattern because of accommodation increase less than sediment supply during a fall in 3rd-order base *** distributary channels are mainly accumulated in the transgressive systems tracts,and distributary channels and mouth bars are deposited in the regressive systems tracts as a result of the 4.h-order base-level *** stratigraphic and sedimentological analyses indicate that sequences K1,K2,K5 and K6,as well as the basin edge of K3 and K4.remain potential for exploration and development due to their high reservoir quality in response to the low accommodation and more sediment supply.

Identification of the Quaternary low gas-saturation reservoirs in the Sanhu area of the Qaidam Basin,China

Low gas-saturation reservoirs are gas bearing intervals whose gas saturation is less than 4.%. They are common in the Quaternary of the Sanhu area in the Qaidam *** to the complex genesis mechanisms and special geological characteristics,the logging curves of low gas-saturation reservoirs are characterized by ambiguity and diversity,namely without significant log response characteristics. Therefore,it is particularly difficult to identify the low gas-saturation reservoirs in the study *** addition,the traditional methods such as using the relations among lithology,electrical property,physical property and gas bearing property,as well as their threshold values,can not effectively identify low gas-saturation *** solve this problem,we adopt the decision tree,support vector machine and rough set methods to establish a predictive model of low gas-saturation reservoirs,which is capable of classifying a mass of multi-dimensional and fuzzy *** to the transparency of learning processes and the understandability of learning results,the predictive model was also revised by absorbing the actual reservoir *** applications indicate that the predictive model is effective in identifying low gas-saturation reservoirs in the study area.

For long distance electric power transmission system, the neutral delay system model of current and voltage on lossless and even transmission line were established, on this basis a new control strategy of power transmission system based on the linear semigroup spectral decomposition method was proposed, simulation results show that the effectiveness of the proposed method. By this proposed method the combination of delay control theory and electrical engineering was achieved, and it has promotional value.

Theoretical calculations of the energy bands in nucleus 102 Zr are carried out by taking the projected shell model approach, which has reproduced the experimental data. In addition, by analyzing band-head energies, corresponding configurations of yrast band, quasi-particle rotational bands and side bands, we have worked out the microscopic formation mechanism of axially symmetric deformation bands: The low-excitation deformation bands are attributed to the high-j intruder states 1g 7/2 and 1h 11/2 in the N=4. 5 shells; the quasi-particles in the orbit v5/2-[532], v3/2+[4.1] and v3/2+[4.3] in particular play an important role in the deformation of 102 Zr.

Chronic morphine exposure induces degradation of receptive field properties of LGN cells in cats

Aim:To investigate the effect of chronic morphine exposure on the receptive fieldproperties of lateral geniculate nucleus(LGN)neurons in ***:Catswere injected with morphine(10 mg/kg)or saline twice daily,for 10 ***,extracellular single-unit recording techniques were used to examine the sensitivityof LGN neurons to visual stimuli in chronic morphine-treated and ***:Compared with saline-treated cats(as controls),LGN neurons inmorphine-treated cats had decreased signal-to-noise ratios(1.9 vs 3.1 ),and orien-tation and direction sensitivity(0.103 vs O.135 and 0.074.vs O.10,respectively),accompanied by significant increases in spontaneous(27.4.vs 17.5)and evokedactivity(preferred:4..2 vs 38.1;average:28.1 vs 22.3).Conclusion:Chronic mor-phine exposure can lead to the functional degradation of LGN neurons in cats,which might result from the effects of chronic morphine exposure on inhibitoryneurotransmission.
