THE altered deformation zone type Au (Ag) deposits share an important part from the precious metallicore deposits in the Yunkai area, South China. Their formation is a history of poly-stage evolution. Pre- liminary source strata, Calidoniam metamorphism, Indosinian-Yanshanian ductile shear deformation andassociated hydrotheraml alteration all play certain roles in the history. This note discusses the geochemical conditional of the hydrothermal fluids during mineralization. Two representative ore deposits, the Pangxidong Ag(Au) deposit and Hetai Au deposits are selectedfor this study. They are hosted in altered ductile shear zones. Wall-rock hydrothermal alteration is bothspatially and temporally associated with the development of the ductile shear system. Silicification occurred throughout the whole alteration process. Physical processes associated with onset of the 1998 Asian summer monsoon were examined in detail using multi-source datasets. We demonstrated that strong ocean-atmosphere-land interaction in the northern Indian Ocean and tropical Asian area during spring is a fundamental factor that induces the genesis and development of a monsoon onset vortex over the Bay of Bengal (BOB), with the vortex in turn triggering onset of the Asian summer monsoon. In spring, strong surface sensible heating over India and the Indochina Peninsula is transferred to the atmosphere, forming prominent in situ cyclonic circulation, with anticyclonic circulations over the Arabian Sea and northern BOB where the ocean receives abundant solar radiation. The corresponding surface winds along the North Indian Ocean coastal areas cause the ocean to produce the in situ offshore currents and upwelling, resulting in sea surface temperature (SST) cooling. With precipitation on the Indochina Peninsula increasing from late April to early May, the offshore current disappears in the eastern BOB or develops into an onshore current, leading to SST increasing. A southwest-northeast oriented spring BOB warm pool with SST >31°C forms in a band from the southeastern Arabian Sea to the eastern BOB. In early May, the Somali cross-equatorial flow forms due to the meridional SST gradient between the two hemispheres, and surface sensible heat over the African land surface. The Somali flow overlaps in phase with the anticyclone over the northern Arabian Sea in the course of its inertial fluctuation along the equator. The convergent cold northerlies on the eastern side of the anticyclone cause the westerly in the inertial trough to increase rapidly, so that enhanced sensible heat is released from the sea surface into the atmosphere. Poly-crystalline silicon thin film has big potential of reducing the cost of solar cells. In this paper the preparation of thin film is introduced, and then the morphology of poly-crystalline thin film, is discussed. On the film we developed poly-crystalline silicon thin film solar cells with efficiency up to 6.05% without anti-reflection coating.

Structure models associated with P-and S-wave velocities contain considerable amount of information on lithology and geophysical properties,which can be used to better understand the complexity of the deep crustal structure. However,records of converted shear waves are less due to the speciality of seismic survey at sea and the rigorous generated conditions. The study on shear waves has always been a weakness for studying the deep crustal structures of South China Sea (SCS). In this paper,eleven three-component OBSs were deployed along the Profile OBS-2001 in northeastern SCS. After the data processing of polarization and band-pass filter,converted S-wave phases were identified in the radical component records of nine OBSs. Taking the OBS7 as an example,identification and analysis of converted shear waves were presented and discussed in detail. A few phase groups,such as PwSc,PgSs,PnSc,PmS,and PwSn,were found coming from the deep crust or Moho interface by simple theoretical model calculation and ray-tracing simulation. The results not only provide the underlying basis for studies of S-wave velocity structure and Poisson’s ratio structure,but also reveal the relationship between crustal petrology and seismology,which will be of importance for making full use of S-wave information in the future.

Track fading is a basic phenomenon in track science and has been the source of informa- tion in geosciences. This article summarizes the knowledge of track fading and gives some examples of successful applications of track fading in archaeology, tectonics and geothermal chronology in China. The applications of track fading are classified into 5 modes：（1） mode of complete fading （annealing）; （2） mode of partial fading; （3） use of the dependence of track fading on time and temperature; （4. use of the differences of track fading between coexisting minerals; and （5） use of fading-reduced track length. Track fading mechanisms hints that scientists in geothermal chronology should adopt microprobes for quantitative elemental analysis to determine the detailed chemical compositions of each mineral grain or at least of the grains from each position of geological structures in order that one becomes well aware of the relation between the track fading behavior and chemical compositions of the mineral used.

Algebraic immunity has been considered as one of cryptographically significant properties for Boolean functions. In this paper, we study ∑d-1 i=0 (ni)-weight Boolean functions with algebraic immunity achiev-ing the minimum of d and n - d + 1, which is highest for the functions. We present a simpler sufficient and necessary condition for these functions to achieve highest algebraic immunity. In addition, we prove that their algebraic degrees are not less than the maximum of d and n - d + 1, and for d = n1 +2 their nonlinearities equalthe minimum of ∑d-1 i=0 (ni) and ∑ d-1 i=0 (ni). Lastly, we identify two classes of such functions, one having algebraic degree of n or n-1.
