This paper presents the contents of 17 kinds of trace elements in plant leaf samples collected from 4.sections in the North Jiangsu oil field, and the dada on their visible-near infrared spectra. By comparing the results of the inner and outer oil-gas remote-sensing anomaly areas, the plant trace element composition, and the enrichment characteristics and their influence on the plant spectral properties are described. The results indicated that the plant leaves had very strong enrichment ability toward some elements such as Mg, Ca, K, Na, Fe, Al, Mn, V, Zn and Cr. The plant leaves from the oil-gas abnormal areas were enriched in trace elements of the Fe-series, but depleted in alkali and alkali-earth metal elements. The plant trace elements had a strong influence on the 'blue-shift' strength and the reflectance of visible bands. And the ratios between Fe, Co and K, Na, Cd, Cu, Ba are the effective remote-sensing oil-indicating factors of plant trace elements. plant trace element, geochemistry, remote

THE studies on geology, geochemistry and geophysics of mantle and crust show that there exist distinctvertical and lateral heterogenetics of the composition and structures of lithosphere. Especially, continentallithosphere possesses a complex rheological structure, which is one of the important factors controlling thedeformation and evolution of continent. Recently, the comprehensive studies in china and other countries suggest that the geochemical mapping and provincial division is a reliable method to reveal the heterogenetics, and Pb isotopic compositionhaving strong tectonic and regional characteristics. Therefore, Pb isotopic mapping is a key to revealingthe structure, formation and evolution of the lithosphere. 85 volcanic rocks of the Yixian Formation from the Sihetun type section werecollected and analyzed for geochemical and isotopic compositions. Major element compositionsindicate that the Sihetun volcanic rocks are high magnesium andesites with some basalts occurring atthe bottom of section. The Sihetun high magnesium andesites (SiO_2 = 52.82-59.31 wt%, Al_2O_3=14.15-16.35wt%) show many characteristics of adakites such as depletion in heavy rare-earth elements(HREE; Yb = 1.03-1.88 μg/g) and Y(12-20 μg/g) and high Sr (620-1323 μg/g) and Sr/Y(32-88), withhigh La_N/Yb_N ratio (10-25). They share similar major and trace element characteristics to volcanicrocks from the Xinglonggou Formation except their lower Nd isotope ratios (^(14.)Nd/^(14.)Nd(130Ma) = 0.5118-0.5119, ε_(Nd) (130Ma) = -11.6-13.8, ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr (130 Ma) = *** were interpreted in a way that eclogite that formed at the base of thickened Archean lowercrust of the North china craton foundered into the convecting mantle and subsequently melted andinteracted with peridotite. However, compared to the Xinglonggou volcanic rocks, the source of theSihetun magma contained more ancient continental crustal material in order to explain its evolved Ndisotopes. The age of the Sihetun Formation was 120 to 130 Ma, and this indicates that delaminationlasted to the early Cretaceous period. The Sr contents and Sr/Y ratios of the Sihetun high-Mgandesites show significant negative correlations with SiO_2 for samples with SiO_2 > 56%. Thesesuggest that the Sr and Sr/Y values were reduced due to fractional crystallization of ***, the effect of crystallization on volcanic Sr and Sr/Y ratio has to be taken intoaccount.

THE parallel strike of geochemical steep zones and geophysical gradient zones represent geochemicalboundaries with tectonic hiding and almost no magmatism, but there existed great variation of lithosphereor crustal thickness. Tectonically, these areas were located in the foreland basins of craton margin. Thesegeochemical boundaries were usually associated with the low-temperature mineralization and petroleumgeneration. The Nd, Sr and Pb isotopic evidence indicated that there still existed strong crustal-mantle interaction through fluid activation along deep-seated faults at the craton margin. Seep carbonate nodules were firstlycollected from the southwestern Dongsha area onnorthern continental slope of South china Sea formineralogical and geochemical studies. The resultsof X-ray diffraction show that carbonate nodules arecomposed of Fe-rich domolite,siderite and a few cal-cite and aragonite, as well as a small quantity ofnon-carbonate minerals such as goethite, quartz andclay minerals. Fe-rich dolomite and siderite charac-terized by euhedral microcrystalline structure weredirectly precipitated at cold seeps. The δ 13C valuesfor Fe-rich dolomite and siderite in the bulk nodulesvary from ?18.24. to ?36.07‰, and the δ 18O valuesrange from 0.4. to 2.76‰. Their moderate depleted13C reflects that carbon origin is possibly thermoge- netic gas or mixed gas, which is evidence of gasventings in the seafloor. Moreover, massive wormtube fossils related to cold seeps were found on thesurfaces of carbonate nodules, and the conduitsand/or channels in semi-solidified nodules whichwere not filled by carbonate or sediment were alsoobserved. A preliminary conclusion is that activemicro gas venting with a conduit/channel diameterrange from 200 μm to 600 μm possibly exists inmodern seafloor of the carbonate nodule area.

By breaking through the conventional ideology on the study of gas-formation mechanism of source rocks which focused on merely the characteristics of source rocks them- selves, and based on the development and distribution characteristics of marine carbonate source rocks in the medium-to-bottom parts of the chinese superimposed sedimentary basins as well as various processes in the course of gas generation and reservoir forming, the complex hydrocarbon-generating model of carbonates is established. Such a model concerns not only the “three-stage” gas formation characteristics of carbonates, but also the gas generation process due to a thermal cracking of oil and the re-generation process of gas from heated secondary organic matters during the gas-generation and reservoir-forming course. The high-quality hy- drocarbon generating matter of marine carbonate source rocks determined a high gas-oil ratio and tended to form paleo-oil-reservoirs, representing an enrichment process of organic matters. The thermal cracking of oil in palaeo-oil-reservoirs is an important means for the effective forma- tion of gas reservoirs. The secondary organic matters in carbonate reservoirs may regenerate gas after a secondary deep burial, thus becoming an effective gas source.

Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating reveals that the Baimashan Pluton is composed mainly of late Indosinian (204.5±2.8 Ma-209.2±3.8 Ma) biotite granodiorites/monzonitic granites (LIGs) and early Yanshanian (176.7±1.7 Ma) two-micas monzonitic granites (EYGs), and the coeval (203.2±4.5 Ma-205.1±3.9 Ma) mafic microgranular enclaves (MMEs) are generally found in the former. In addition, the ages of cores within zircons from LIGs and MMEs ranging from 221.4.4.0 Ma to 226.5±4.1Ma provide evidence of multistage magma intrusion during Indosinian in the study area. Measured 3010±20.6 Ma of inherited zircon age suggests that there may be recycling Archaean curstal material in existence in this area. LIGs and EYGs share some similar geochemical features: subalkaline and peraluminous granites, enrichment of Th, U, K, Ta, Zr, Hf and LREE but depletion of Ba, Nb, P, Ti and Eu, low εNd(t) values but high (87Sr/86Sr)i ratios, and old T2DM (ca. 1.9-2.0 Ga). The behaviors of incompatible elements and REE are mainly dominated by fractional crystallization of plagioclase, K-feldspar, ilmenite and apatite, but that of Sr isotope mainly controlled by EC-AFC. They are crust-sourced and derived from partial melting of paleo-Proterozoic metagreywackes and related to biotite dehydration melting. LIGs are formed in post-collisional tectonic setting as crustal local extension and thinning during late Indosinian. But EYGs may be evolved products of congeneric granitic magma with LIGs formed in late Indoinian, which were emplaced again when crust underwent extensive thinning and extension in post-orogenic tectonic setting during Yanshanian in SC after undergoing EC-AFC. MMEs should be cognate enclaves and derived from liquid immiscibility of host magma.

GOLD mineralization popularly occurs in Funiushan area. Based on the studies on more than 4. gold deposits or ore spots, it is shown that most of them are small in scale except the Pengou gold deposit, whichcan be developed into a medium one. The Pengou is a gold deposit of medium-low temperature hydrothermal type. 1 Geological setting The Funiushan gold mineralization zone lying in the contiguous region of Nanzhao, Fangcheng andLushan Counties, Henan Province, is stituated on the tectonic and geochemical boundary between theNorth china block and Qinling Orogenic belt, and transverses the two first-grade tectonic units. Thehost rocks are mainly the strata of Xionger group （Pt2 ） and the Funiushan granitic batholith. The Penggougold deposit is just located on the large-scale fault of Xiatang-Guihe. A series of metamorphic rocks ofXionger Group outcroped in the north of the deposit. 2 The features of deposit The ore bodies mostly appear in thick plate with sag-and-swell variation. The gold-bearing alterationzone from upper to lower layers can be divided as granite→ pyritization and phyllic alteration→ alteredgranitic porphyry→quartz vein→pyritization and phyllic alteration→cataclastic granite with phyllic alteration, i. e. the upper and lower gold-bearing layers can be separated by the altered granite. The composition of fluid inclusions(FI)often represents the initial geochemical characteristics of palaeo-fluid in reservoir *** on composition and carbon isotopic composition of gas during primary migration,reservoir-forming and subsequent secondary alterations are discussed through comparing fluid inclusion gas with coal-formed gas and natural gas in present gas reservoirs in the Ordos *** results show that primary migration of gas has significant effect on the molecular but not on the carbon isotopic composition of *** and diffusion fractionation took place during the secondary migration of gas in Upper Paleozoic gas reservoir according to carbon isotopic composition of methane in *** and carbon isotopic composition of natural gas were nearly unchanged after the gas reservoir forming through comparing the FI gases with the natural gas in present gas reservoir.

SHRIMPP U-Pb zircon age and geochemical and Nd isotopic data are reported for the Aoyitake plagiogranite in western Tarim Block, NW china. The plagiogranite intruded the Middle Pro- terozoic and Lower Carboniferous with an exposure area of ca. 60 km2 and crystallized at 330.7±4.8 Ma. Rock types mainly include tonalite, trondhjemite and minor amounts of diorite and quartz-diorite. Feldspars in the rocks are dominated by oligoclase-andesine, and minor perthite observed locally. The granites are sodic with Na/K ratios (molar) between 4.and 87. Total REE (50-220 ppm) show a clear positive correlation with SiO2. There is no LRRE/HREE fractionation (LaN/YbN=0.5-1.5), me- dium negative Eu anomalies (δ Eu=0.3-0.6), high Y content and low Sr/Y ratio (~1.0). These granites exhibit relatively juvenile Nd T2DM model ages of 4.0 to 580 Ma and positive εNd(331 Ma) values of 6.23 to 7.65. The aforementioned characteristics are similar to those of ocean island or ocean ridge plagiogranites. However, the regional geology, especially its scale, precludes that the plagiogranite pluton was derived directly from fractionational crystallization of mantle-derived basaltic magma. We interpreted that the primary magma of the pluton might be tonalitic in composition generated by ca. 50% partial melting of the juvenile basaltic crust. The primary magma experienced intensive frac- tionational crystallization, and intruded into the middle to upper crusts to form the granite pluton. In combination with the previous regional geological data, it is concluded that the plagiogranite pluton was emplaced within the Tarim Block in respond to the Carboniferous continental rifting along the Tianshan orogenic belt.
