DEM, which becomes a major component of geographic information processing in earth and engineering sciences, has been studied in the GIS literature for a long time. We use DEM to represent the terrain in GIS. The more data are available, the better representations of a terrain can be built. But not all tasks in the framework of a given application necessarily require the same accuracy, and even a single task may need different levels of accuracy in different areas of the domain. Multiresolution models, such as LOD, offer the possibility of representing and analyzing a terrain at a range of different levels of detail. In this paper, some key issues in multiresolution DEM model are studied. Three main models are focused on Hierarchical TIN(HTIN), multiresolution terrain model based Delaunay and Hierarchical Dynamic Simplification. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are analyzed. The technology of tile to tile edge match is studied to maintain the consistency between adjacent edges and tile edges in HTIN model. And the Hypergraph based Objected oriented Model(HOOM) is presented to divide and code spatial area and describe the terrain feature in adding and deleting points based on Delaunay rule retriangulating. The conclusions have been drawn in the end.

In order to better support Antarctic inland ice sheet expedition from Zhongshan Station to Dome A,the topographic data are *** present,although the entire Antarctic DEM provided by RAMP(Ra-darsat Antarctic mapping Project) was estimated at the highest horizontal(spatial) resolution of about 200 m,the real horizontal resolution of the DEM varies from place to place depending on the density and scale of the original source *** ice shelves and the inland ice sheet,the horizontal resolution is about 5 km;the vertical accuracy is estimated to be ±50 m in interior East Antarctic ice sheet and away from the mountain ***,more accurate topographic data are unavailable in *** order to meet the requirements of high-accuracy topographic information for further researches,this paper mainly addresses a fusion study of ASTER stereo pairs and ICESat/GLAS altimetry data for extraction of high-accuracy DEM in East Antarctica,based on the high horizontal resolution(15 m) of ASTER and vertical accuracy(13.8 cm) of ICESat/***,some altimetry data were selected as vertical control points to reduce errors of image correlation matching during the extraction of ASTER-based ***,ice sheet altimetry data derived from ICESat were used to generate DEM ranging from 75° to 81°S because existing ASTER data do not cover this area and high density of the coverage of ICESat altimetry ***,the DEM in coverage of the expedition route was *** analysis of result reveals that the DEM accuracy is improved *** absolute vertical accuracy of DEM is higher than 15 m in some cases and higher than 3. m for all the areas along the expedition route except from the 009-001 scene;the interior accuracy is higher than 15 m and higher than 7 m in some *** can meet the requirements of topographic map at 1:50000 scale,which is an economic and advantageous method to produce the topographic products.

Autonomous relative navigation is the key technology in mining or rescuing. On the basis of mine requirement and the theories of machine vision, an autonomous relative navigation algorithm for mine agent based on quaternion was proposed. In rotation transformation, this algorithm was represented by using quaternion. Because the Jacobi matrix of this method is lower than that of Hall algorithm, the calculation efficiency is improved by using this algorithm. The results of these experiments show that the computation burden of this algorithm based on quaternion is about half that of Hall algorithm. This algorithm based on quaternion is improved as a valid way to solve the problem of mine real-time navigation.

This paper proposes second-order consensus protocols with time-delays and gives the measure of the robustness of the protocols to the time-delay existing in the network of agents with second-order dynamics. By employing a frequency domain method, it is proven that the information states and their time derivatives of all the agents in the network achieve consensus asymptotically, respectively, for appropriate communication timedelay if the topology of weighted network is connected. Particularly, a tight upper bound on the communication time-delay that can be tolerated in the dynamic network is found. The consensus protocols are distributed in the sense that each agent only needs information from its neighboring agents, which reduces the complexity of connections between neighboring agents significantly. Numerical simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and the sharpness of the theoretical results for second-order consensus in networks in the presence of communication time-delays.

There have been many skewed cancer gene expression datasets in the post-genomic era. Extraction of differential expression genes or construction of decision rules using these skewed datasets by traditional algorithms will seriously underestimate the performance of the minority class, leading to inaccurate diagnosis in clinical trails. This paper presents a skewed gene selection algorithm that introduces a weighted metric into the gene selection procedure. The extracted genes are paired as decision rules to distinguish both classes, with these decision rules then integrated into an ensemble learning framework by majority voting to recognize test examples; thus avoiding tedious data normalization and classifier construction. The mining and integrating of a few reliable decision rules gave higher or at least comparable classification performance than many traditional class imbalance learning algorithms on four benchmark imbalanced cancer gene expression datasets.

By use of optical spectrum technology, the spectra of X-ray induced by highly charged 4.Arq+ ions interacting with Au surface have been studied. The results show that the argon Kα X-ray were emitted from the hollow atoms formed below the surface. There is a process of multi-electron exciting in neutralization of the Ar16+ion, with electronic con-figuration 1s2 in its ground state below the solid surface. The yield of the projectile Kα X-ray is related to its initial electronic configuration, and the yield of the target X-ray is related to the projectile kinetic energy.

Constructing a family of generalized Lyapunov functions, a new method is proposed to obtain new global attractive set and positive invariant set of the Lorenz chaotic system. The method we proposed greatly simplifies the complex proofs of the two famous estimations presented by the Russian scholar Leonov. Our uniform formula can derive a series of the new estimations. Employing the idea of intersection in set theory, we extract a new Leonov formula-like estimation from the family of the estimations. With our method and the new estimation, one can confirm that there are no equilibrium, periodic solutions, almost periodic motions, wandering motions or other chaotic attractors outside the global attractive set. The Lorenz butterfly-like singular attractors are located in the global attractive set only. This result is applied to the chaos control and chaos synchronization. Some feedback control laws are obtained to guarantee that all the trajectories of the Lorenz systems track a periodic solution, or globally stabilize an unstable (or locally stable but not globally asymptotically stable) equilibrium. Further, some new global exponential chaos synchronization results are presented. Our new method and the new results are expected to be applied in real secure communication systems.

Based on the study of equilibrium adsorption on viscose rayon-based activated carbon fiber （ACF） by gravimetric method, mounting of TiO2 on PAN-based activated carbon cloth （ACC） and their photocatalytic activity as well as adsorption performance for benzene were investigated. The crystallinity of TiO2 and pore structure were characterized by XRD and N2 adsorption. The results show that crystallinity of TiO2 and pore structure could be postulated by heat treatment condition. Both crystallinity of TiO2 and pore structure of hybrid have effects on photocatalytic performance of TiO2-mounted ACC. It would be more attractive and prospective for the combination of TiO2 photocatalytic activity and adsorption ability of porous materials.

We show that the quantum-mechanical fundamental representations, say, the coordinate representation, the coherent state representation, the Fan-Klauder entangled state representation can be recast into s-ordering operator expansion, which is elegant in form and has many applications in deriving new operator identities. This demonstrates that Dirac's symbolic method can be merged into Newton-Leibniz integration theory in a broad way.
