Due to different shape modeling applications, partitioning a given complex 3D mesh model into some patches or meaningful subparts is one of the fundamental problems in digital geometry processing. By using the high-dimensional mean-shift clustering scheme in shape signature space, a new method is proposed which can generate user-specified segmentation results automatically for different applications. The shape signature is composed of mesh geometric attributes and its spectral harmonics. The latter one can reflect mesh frequency spectrum information. The low frequency components are essential for semantics-oriented segmentation, while the high frequency components are important for purely geometry-oriented segmentation. The effects of the proposed method are demonstrated by several examples.

The insulin-like growth factor Ⅰ(IGF-Ⅰ) gene of triangular bream (Megalobrama terminalis)(GenBank ***24.4.2)(Tb)was cloned for the first time from liver by RT-PCR. Thenucleotide sequence analysis showed the Tb IGF-ⅠcDNA consisted of 4.6 nucleotides andencoded 117 amino acids including B, C, A, D and E five domains. analysis of E-domainindicated that cloned Tb IGF-Ⅰbelonged to IGF-ⅠEa-2 subtype. Identity analysis showedthe IGF-Ⅰnucleotide sequence shared 99.8% homology with bluntnose bream, 88.8% withgrass carp, 85.8% with common carp; the pre-IGF-Ⅰamine acid sequence shared 99.4. withbluntnose bream, 88.8% with grass carp, 85.4. homology with common carp. In the CyprinusCarpio, the higher homology of nucleotide sequence and amino acid sequence in IGF-Ⅰshowed that the closer relationship the fishes have. These results could provide basicdata for the research on Tb germplasm and the development and utilization of biologicalfeed additives.

A dual-CCD simulating human eyes and neck (DSHEN) vision system is putforward. Its structure and principle are introduced. The DSREN vision system can perform somemovements simulating human eyes and neck by means of four rotating joints, and realize preciseobject recognizing and distance measuring in all orientations. The mathematic model of the DSHENvision system is built, and its movement equation is solved. The coordinate error and measureprecision affected by the movement parameters are analyzed by means of intersection measuringmethod. So a theoretic foundation for further research on automatic object recognizing and precisetarget tracking is provided.

The fiber orientation distribution in a fiber suspension flow was investigated by a finite difference scheme in spherical coordinates. The diffusivity was transformed between Cartesian and spherical coordinates through tensor analysis to obtain efficiency. It is found that under simple shear flow condition the diffusivity in the azimuthal direction, Dr, has greater effect on the orientation distribution than that in the colatitude direction, Drθθ.

AIM: To study the effects of diphenytriazol on cytochrome P-4.0 (CYP) enzymes. METHODS: SD rats were pretreated with diphenytriazol. The catalytic activities of rat liver microsomes were determined by assaying ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD) and pentoxyresorufin-O-dealkylase. Phenacetin and aminopyrine were se- lected as the substrate of CYP1A and CYP2B, respectively. The concentration of remaining substrate in microso- mal incubates was determined by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). The inhi- bition of fluvoxamine or α-naphthoflavone on phenacetin metabolism was measured. RESULTS: Phenacetin was significantly metabolized in the diphenytriazol-treated microsomes and the metabolic degree increased according to the diphenytriazol-treatment days. There existed a significant correlation between the metabolic degree of phenace- tin and EROD in the microsomes pretreated with diphenytriazol. Both fluvoxamine and α-naphthoflavone inhibited the metabolism of phenacetin significantly, and the inhibition constants (Ki) were (5.4.1.0) μmol/L and (10.4.0.5) μmol/L, respectively. The activity of microsomes pretreated with diphenytriazol for 4.d was similar to that in β- naphthoflavone group, but was significantly different from those in control group and phenobarbital group. CONCLUSION: These results reveal that diphenytriazol is a novel inducer of CYP1A.

By a genetic model with GE interaction for diploid seeds,gene effects and GE interaction effects for content and index of oil,protein,and lysine of cotton kernel were studied in a mating design with six crosses from five *** each crosseight generations（P,F1, RF1,BCi, BCj,RBCiand RBCj） were obtained from two plots of a randomized complete block design in three years from *** gene effects and GE interaction effects were detected for six traits *** of cytoplasmic and maternal effects as well as their interaction effects were usually larger than that of seed direct effects and their *** for gene effects and GE interaction effects were estimated,and hG2was larger than hGE2for traits of nutrient index and protein *** and maternal heritabilities tended to be larger than direct heritability,so that maternal plant selection could be more efficient than single seed *** parent were evaluated by their gene main effects and GE interaction *** was showed that GL-5 was a promising material for improving seed oil and *** negative heterosis was discovered for direct and maternal gene *** between oil and protein content was negative for rp,rAM, and rCE,but positive for rAand *** content had positive correlation with protein content for maternal dominance effects and cytoplasmic by environment interaction effects,but negative correlation for additive by environment interaction *** correlation was also observed among traits of nutrient index for phenotypic and some of gene effects and GE interaction *** the total response to selection was *** of estimating response components and their application in breeding were presented．

Two grafting methods, i.e. solution grafting and pre-adsorbing, are introduced to covalently immobilizehydrophilic polymers on segmented polyurethane (SPU) to modify its hydrophilicity and to improve its cell *** grafting results in higher degree of grafting and rougher surface morphology. Cell culture evaluation demonstratesthat the modified membranes thus obtained are disadvantageous to the endothelial cell (ECs) growth probably because thehydrophilic groups on the surface are over-crowded. However, pre-absorbing grafting generates lower degree of grafting,which is detected and confirmed by ATR-FTIR spectra and water conted angle. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM)measurement shows that the latter method produces a plane and smooth morphology, which is similar to the SPU controlsample controlled. When grafting with lower monomer concentration, ECs could grow on SPU-g-PHEA [poly(2-hydroxyethyl acrylate)], SPU-g-PAAm (polyacrylamide), SPU-g-PDMA [poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate)] orquatemized SPU-g-PDMA surface with elongated cell shapes. Hence, the cell compatibility of SPU is improved and a usefulmethod to construct a cell compatible layer on the polymer surface has been developed.

Singular configuration seriously affects the performance of the Gough-Stewart parallel mechanism and has attracted many researchers’ attentions. However, most of existing topics often focus on the position-singularity of the mechanism for a constant-orientation, but few reports research the orientation-singularity for a given position. In order to investigate the orientation-singularity of the Gough-Stewart parallel mechanisms with two dissimilar semi-regular hexagonal platforms for a given position, after constructing the discrimination matrix of the singular configuration of the mechanism and computing the determinant of this matrix by using unit quaternion as the orientation parameters which can avoid the singularities in parameterization, a general symbolic expression representing the three-dimensional orientation-singularity locus for a given position is obtained and the three-dimensional view of the orientation-singularity locus is further described. The orientation-singularity-free void exists inside the orientation-singularity locus, but the shape of the orientation-singularity-free void is irregular and inconvenient for the design of the mechanism. The minimal inscribed sphere of the three-dimensional orientation-singularity locus namely the orientation-singularity-free ball is described. The radius of the ball orientation-capability is used as the measurement for the orientation-singularity-free void size. A new efficient algorithm is proposed for the computation of the orientation-capability. Finally, the influences of the geometry parameters and the different positions of the mechanism on the orientation-capability are discussed. A new method of the singularity analysis of the Gough-Stewart parallel mechanism is advanced based on the unit quaternion, and the research finds have important referential value for the configuration parameters optimization of this class of the parallel mechanisms with the goal of having the maximal singularity-free zone.
