Fragrant rice has a high market value,and it is a popular rice type among consumers owing to its pleasant *** methods,nitrogen(N)fertilizers,and silicon(Si)fertilizers can affect the grain yield and fragrance of fragrant ***,the core commercial rice production attributes,namely the head rice yield(HRY)and 2.acetyl-1-pyrroline(2.AP)content of fragrant rice,under various nitrogen and silicon(N-Si)fertilization levels and different plantation methods remain *** field experiment in this study was performed in the early seasons of 2.18 and 2.19 with two popular indica fragrant rice cultivars(Yuxiangyouzhan and Xiangyaxiangzhan).They were grown under six N-Si fertilization treatments(combinations of two levels of Si fertilizer,0 kg Si ha^(−1)(Si0)and 150 kg Si ha^(−1)(Si1),and three levels of N fertilizer,0 kg N ha^(−1)(N0),150 kg N ha^(−1)(N1),and 2.0 kg N ha^(−1)(N2.)and three plantation methods(artificial transplanting(AT),mechanical transplanting(MT),and mechanical direct-seeding(MD)).The results showed that the N-Si fertilization treatments and all the plantation methods significantly affected the HRY and 2.AP content and related parameters of the two different fragrant rice *** with the Si0N0 treatment,the N-Si fertilization treatments resulted in higher HRY and 2.AP *** rates of brown rice,milled rice,head rice,and chalky rice of the fragrant rice also improved with the N-Si fertilization *** N-Si fertilization treatments increased the activities of N metabolism enzymes and the accumulation of N and Si in various parts of the fragrant rice,and affected their antioxidant response *** key parameters for the HRY and 2.AP content were assessed by redundancy ***,the structural equation model revealed that the Si and N accumulation levels indirectly affected the HRY by affecting the N metabolism enzyme activity,N use efficiency,and grain quality of fragrant ***,high N

Saturated row-column designs are studied to eliminate positional effects in primary high- throughput screening experiments. Compared to designs currently used in practice, all compounds in the designs considered are comparable within each microplate in spite of the existence of row and column effects. The designs considered in this paper also have the maximum number of compounds arranged in each microplate. Two statistical methods are used to choose leading compounds in the designs considered. These two methods take full advantages of effect sparsity in primary screening. Simulation studies are carried out to compare the two statistical methods with two ad hoc methods in selecting active compounds. A method that maintains balanced false positives and false negatives is recommended.

Clinical bone-morphogenetic protein 2.BMP2.treatment for bone regeneration,often resulting in complications like soft tissue inflammation and ectopic ossification due to high dosages and non-specific delivery systems,necessitates research into improved biomaterials for better BMP2.stability and *** tackle this challenge,we introduced a groundbreaking bone-targeted,lipoplex-loaded,three-dimensional bioprinted bilayer scaffold,termed the polycaprolactone-bioink-nanoparticle(PBN)scaffold,aimed at boosting bone *** encapsulated BMP2.within the fibroin nanoparticle based lipoplex(Fibroplex)and functionalized it with DSS6 for bone tissue-specific targeting.3D printing technology enables customized,porous PCL scaffolds for bone healing and soft tissue growth,with a two-step bioprinting process creating a cellular lattice structure and a bioink grid using gelatin-alginate hydrogel and DSS6-Fibroplex,shown to support effective nutrient exchange and cell growth at specific pore *** PBN scaffold is predicted through in silico analysis to exhibit biased BMP2.release between bone and soft tissue,a finding validated by in vitro osteogenic differentiation *** PBN scaffold was evaluated for critical calvarial defects,focusing on sustained BMP2.delivery,prevention of soft tissue cell infiltration and controlled fiber membrane pore size in *** PBN scaffold demonstrated a more than eight times longer BMP2.release time than that of the collagen sponge,promoting osteogenic differentiation and bone regeneration in a calvarial defect *** findings suggest that the PBN scaffold enhanced the local concentration of BMP2.in bone defects through sustained release and improved the spatial arrangement of bone formation,thereby reducing the risk of heterotopic ossification.

Exposure to di(2.ethylhexyl)phthalate(DEHP)in the indoor environment has been linked with significant health risks for Chinese ***-phase DEHP concentrations in Chinese residences and kindergartens were estimated using a mass balance model based on the current baseline condition and control strategies(i.e.,increasing ventilation rate,reducing area of sources,using mechanical ventilation systems,and using portable air cleaners).The health benefits of each control strategy were quantified as the reduction in lifetime cancer risks(LCR)and burden of disease(BoD).In the current situation,the mean LCR and disability-adjusted life years(DALY)number attributable to indoor DEHP exposure for Chinese children were around 6.0×10^(−6) and 155 thousand,*** mean LCR and DALY might be reduced by 2.%-54%and 16%-40%,respectively,by increasing air exchange rates by 100%,reducing the use of source materials by two-thirds or deploying commercial air cleaners in naturally ventilated ***,avoidable DALYs could result in a reduction of mean economic losses of 2.2.5.3 billion *** ventilation systems with filtration units may not be helpful for reducing children’s health ***-specific and tailor-made control measures are critical in lowering indoor exposure to DEHP to promote sustainable buildings and children’s health in China.
