Temperature change of the past 2000 years in china is discussed based on the winter half-year temperature series of the past 2000 years in eastern china reconstructed recently, and other related studies. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) The Little Ice Age (LIA) in china began in the early of the 14th century (1320s) and ended in the beginning of the 20th century (1910s), which was composed of four evident cold stages and three short warming stages. The cold period in the Wei, Jin and South-North dynasties (210s～560s) was the only one comparable with LIA for the past 2000 years. (2) The Medieval Warm Period (MWP) in china began in the 930s and ended in the 1310s, which was composed of two warm stages over 100 years and a cold stage less than 100 years. (3) The climate in the Sui and Tang dynasties should be divided into two stages: the climate in the 570s～770s was as warm as that in the 20th century; while the temperature in the 780s～920s was lower than that in the 1950s～1970s. (4) In eastern china as a whole, winter half-year temperature variation with over 1 ℃ occurred between the cold and warm stages on centennial scale, while the changing rate exceeded 1.0 ℃ per century. (5) There exists an about 1350-year periodicity in the historical temperature change. Inferred from the periodicity, the most likely historical analogue for the warming in the 20th century is the warm stage of the Sui and Tang dynasties (570s～770s), instead of the Medieval Warm Period. (6) Although it was critically warm, the temperature of the 20th century in eastern china is still within the threshold of the variability of the last 2000 years.

The accurate and timely traffic state prediction has become increasingly important for the traffic participants,especially for the traffic managements. In this paper,the traffic state is described by Micro-LOS,and a direct prediction method is introduced. The development of the proposed method is based on Maximum Entropy (ME) models trained for multiple modes. In the Multimode Maximum Entropy (MME) framework,the different features like temporal and spatial features of traffic systems,regional traffic state are integrated simultaneously,and the different state behaviors based on 14 traffic modes defined by average speed according to the date-time division are also dealt with. The experiments based on the real data in beijing expressway prove that the MME models outperforms the already existing model in both effectiveness and robustness.

Use of cloud point extraction for removal of nanosized copper oxide from wastewater

Triton X-114 based cloud point extraction has been demonstrated to be an advantageous approach for the recovery of nanosized copper oxide (NCO) from water. The removal of NCO was influenced by the concentrations of TX-114 and salt, incubation temperature and time, as well as solution pH. With the addition of 0.3% (w/v) Triton X-114, over 88% of the spiked NCO was removed from wastewater after incubation at 35°C for 2 h and centrifugation, whereas over 85% of NCO was recovered after incubation at 28°C for 20 h by gravity phase separation, which is economical and energy-saving. This study suggests that the cloud point extraction technique has great potential in removal of nanomaterials from wastewater.

Chaotiehe gabbroic intrusion in the eastern part of Liaoning Province was dated by the zircon SHRIMP U-Pb *** results gave an emplacement age of 126±4 Ma,indicating that the intrusion thus formed during the lithospheric thinning of the North china Craton(NCC) in the Early Cretaceous rather than in a rifting setting during the Paleoproterozoic as previously *** gabbroic intrusion contains abundant old zircons with Paleoproterozoic(2.10-2.46 Ga and ca.1.87 Ga) and Neoproterozoic (747-969 Ma) *** Paleoproterozoic zircons were probably derived from NCC itself,whereas the Neoproterozoic ones were likely from materials of the Yangtze Craton that had previously been subducted beneath *** geochrono logical dates are of important implications for understanding the Mesozoic crustal evolution of NCC.

Boron concentrations of semen from different three groups of populations(one from male boron workers from boron plants defined as exposure group;the other from male non-boron worker around boron industrial area,as eommunity control group:the other from male far away from boron industrial area,as control control group),as well as the relationship between semen boron and daily boron exposure were analyzed,in order to provide basic data for the epidemiology research of boron effects on human reproductive *** result showed that,average semen boron concentration of the control control group,as normal people,was 143ng/mL and range from 26.8 ng/mL to 293 ng/mL;the averages of semen boron concentrations of boron exposure group and community control group were respectively 683 ng/mL and 251 ng/mL,with geometric mean ff 412 ng/mL and 217 ng/mL,*** was significant logarithm co-relationship between semen boron and boron daily exposure with determination coefficient of 0.674 in their regression equation,which demonstrated that semen boron level would be affected by boron exposure.

The effect of corrosion process on facilitating local plastic deformation for α-Ti in methanol has been investigated with the micro-multiplicative moire interferometer technique. The size of plastic zone and the plastic strain ahead of loaded notch have been measured. The results show that the anodic dissolution, or corrosion process itself can enhance the plastic zone and the plastic strain ahead of a loaded notch during stress corrosion of α-Ti in methanol solution

Using the methods of dynamical systems for the (n + 1)-dimensional multiple sine-Gordon equation, the existences of uncountably infinite many periodic wave solutions and breaking bounded wave solutions are obtained. For the double sine-Gordon equation, the exact explicit parametric representations of the bounded traveling solutions are given. To guarantee the existence of the above solutions, all parameter conditions are determined.
