The meta search engines provide service to the users by dispensing the users' requests to the existing search engines. The existing search engines selected by meta search engine determine the searching quality. Because the performance of the existing search engines and the users' requests are changed dynamically, it is not favorable for the fixed search engines to optimize the holistic performance of the meta search engine. This paper applies the genetic algorithm (GA) to realize the scheduling strategy of agent manager in our meta search engine, GSE(general search engine), which can simulate the evolution process of living things more lively and more efficiently. By using GA, the combination of search engines can be optimized and hence the holistic performance of GSE can be improved dramatically.

Based on a previously used plasmid pHC11, a new plasmid pHC11R was con-structed. Cutting plasmid pHC11R with proper restriction enzymes, the resulting larger DNA fragment pHC11R’ was co-transformed with a PCR amplified expression cassette of human IFNα2b into yeast. By means of the homologous sequences at both ends of two DNA fragments, a novel expression plasmid pHC11R-IFNα2b was formed via homologous recombination in the yeast. Compared with pHC11-IFNα2b, the expression plasmid pHC11R-IFNα2b was smaller in size and in absence of antibiotic resistant gene. The stability and copy number of pHC11R- IFNα2b were greatly increased and the expression level of heterologous protein was improved. As the derivatives of pHC11R, a series of recombination expression vectors pHRs containing different combination of expression elements were developed. This led to a rapid and powerful method for cloning and expressing of different genes in yeast.

Usually multiple quality of service (QoS) guarantees are required in most multicast applications. This paper presents a multiple con-straints algorithm for multicast traffic engineering in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). The proposed algorithm is a new version of multiple constraints QoS multicast routing optimization algorithm in MANET based on genetic algorithm (MQMGA). The proposed MQMGA can optimize the maximum link utilization, the cost of the multicast tree, the selection of the long-life path, the average delay and the maximum end-to-end delay. Experimental result shows that the approach is efficient, has promising performance in multicast traffic engineering and for evaluating the route stability in dynamic mobile networks.

Aim:To test whether the neurogenic differentiation(NeuroD)protein could alle-viate symptoms of diabetes mellitus by its transduction activity in ***:Type 1 diabetes mellitus in mice was induced by ip(intraperitoneal)injection ofstreptozotocin(150 mg/kg).One group of diabetic mice were intravenouslyinjected with the NeuroD-EGFP(Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein)(5 mg/kg,n=6)and the other group with EGFP(5 mg/kg,n=5).After the transduction ofNeuroD-EGFP,the distribution of the protein was examined by means of frozensection under fluorescent microscope *** conducted RT-PCR andReal-time quantitative PCR to measure the transcription levels of insulin *** was utilized to detect the insulin ***-noassay was conducted to determine the serum insulin *** glucoselevels and body weights were regularly recorded after the protein ***:The NeuroD protein can be transduced into cells in vivo with a highefficiency of nearly 100%.Insulin mRNA was highly expressed in NeuroD-treateddiabetic mice,3.-fold higher than that of control group(P3.7±3.pg/mL,significantly higher than that of the control diabetic mice(n=5)which was84+23.pg/mL(P<0.01,t-test).Records of blood glucose level also displayed alle-viation of hyperglycemia after NeuroD administration(P<0.01,t-test,n=6).Conclusion:In vivo-transduced NeuroD in the small intestine remained function-ally active and could ameliorate the non-fasting glucose levels of streptozotocin-induced,diabetic mice by inducing enteric insulin expression.

Due to complexities and genetic heterogeneities of biological phenotypes,robust computational approaches are desirable to achieve high generalization performance with multiple classifiers,perturbations of the data structures,and biological *** purpose of this study is to extend our developed ensemble decision approach to distinguish multiple heterogeneous phenotypes and to elucidate the underlying molecular bridges that intertwine the *** work identifies the significant molecular mechanisms (disease-relevant genes and functions) that underpin the complex molecular mechanisms for distinction between multiple phenotypes.
