Challenges in the theoretical investigations of lipid membrane configurations

We report some key results in the theoretical investigations of configurations of lipid membranes and present several challenges in this field,which involve（i）the exact solutions to the shape equation of lipid vesicles,（ii）the exact solutions to the governing equations of open lipid membranes,（iii）the neck condition of two-phase vesicles in the budding state,（iv） the nonlocal theory of membrane elasticity,and（v）the relationship between the symmetry and the magnitude of the free energy.

Sodium chromate solubility is determined in the range of NaOH concentrations from 450 to 810 g/L andsolution temperatUres from 30 to 110℃. The optimized conditions to separate sodium chromate from NaOH inleached solution are resolved. It is first found the method to efficiently separate sbdium chromate from NaOH andsodium altuninate in crude sodium chromate. Bench-scale studies on the separating are performed. Finally, goodseparation results are achieved.

In this paper, the estimation of average treatment effects is considered when we have the model information of the conditional mean and conditional variance for the responses given the covariates. The quasi-likelihood method adapted to treatment effects data is developed to estimate the parameters in the conditional mean and conditional variance models. Based on the model information, we define three estimators by imputation, regression and inverse probability weighted methods. All the estimators are shown asymptotically normal. Our simulation results show that by using the model information, the substantial efficiency gains are obtained which are comparable with the existing estimators.

A set of integrated end-column amperometric detection system has been developed,onto which an electrophoresis microchip can be conveniently *** machined by a piece of transparent organic glass,the system consists of an electrophoresis microchip platform and an amperometric detection reservoir,in which the microchip can be fixed onto the platform by microchip grooves and with stainless steel *** detection electrode can be directly fixed in the amperometric detection reservoir by screws and *** dopamine as the model analyte,we take platinum disc electrodes with different diameters of 100 μm,300 μm and 500 μm and a carbon fiber electrode with the diameter of 240 μm as the working electrode,all of which accomplish sensitive *** detection parameters of the system are optimized with the carbon fiber *** detection results show that in the electrochemical cleaning procedure,the relative deviations of 3.2% and 0.5% for the peak current and retention time,respectively,can be obtained for the successive detections of 100 μM dopamine,and the limit of detection for dopamine can reach 0.4 μM(S/N = 3).This system is small,but its performance of detection is stable and sensitive,and the replacement of its working electrodes is convenient,so it is very suitable as a universal platform of end-column amperometric detection for electrophoresis microchips.

This paper investigates the stability of （switched） polynomial systems. Using semi-tensor product of matrices, the paper develops two tools for testing the stability of a （switched） polynomial system. One is to convert a product of multi-variable polynomials into a canonical form, and the other is an easily verifiable sufficient condition to justify whether a multi-variable polynomial is positive definite. Using these two tools, the authors construct a polynomial function as a candidate Lyapunov function and via testing its derivative the authors provide some sufficient conditions for the global stability of polynomial systems.

This paper develops a multi-year lag Input-Holding-Output （I-H-O） Model on education with exclusion of the idle capital to address the reasonable education structure in support of a sustainable development strategy in china. First, the model considers the multiyear lag of human capital because the lag time of human capital is even longer and more important than that of fixed capital. Second, it considers the idle capital resulting from the output decline in education, for example, student decrease in primary school. The new generalized Leonitief dynamic inverse is deduced to obtain a positive solution on education when output declines as well as expands. After compiling the 2000 I-H-O table on education, the authors adopt modifications-by-step method to treat nonlinear coefficients, and calculate education scale, the requirement of human 2020. It is found that structural imbalance of human development. capital, and education expenditure from 2005 to capital is a serious problem for chinese economic

Sparse microwave imaging radar is a newly developed concept of microwave imaging system,which tries to combine the traditional radar imaging system with sparse signal processing theories,achieving the aim of reducing the complexity of microwave imaging systems and enhancing the system *** this paper,we introduce some basic concepts of sparse signal processing theory,and then apply it to the traditional radar imaging system to get the mathematical model of sparse microwave imaging *** analyze the factors that determine the performance of sparse microwave imaging radar,including scene,waveform and *** to the radar model,we analyze how these factors influence the radar system and how to optimize *** results of the sparse microwave imaging radar system are also provided.

The wave equation with variable coefficients with a nonlinear dissipative boundary feedbackis studied. By the Riemannian geometry method and the multiplier technique, it is shown thatthe closed loop system decays exponentially or asymptotically, and hence the relation betweenthe decay rate of the system energy and the nonlinearity behavior of the feedback function isestablished.
