An entanglement measure for multipartite pure states is formulated using the product of the von Neumann entropy of the reduced density matrices of the constituents. Based on this new measure, all possible ways of the maximal entanglement of the triqubit pure states are studied in detail and all types of the maximal entanglement have been compared with the result of ‘the average entropy’. The new measure can be used to calculate the degree of entanglement, and an improvement is given in the area near the zero entropy.

A time-of-arrival(TOA) system based on GPS technology for locating VHF radiation sources from lightning has been developed and used in observation sites in the northern Shandong Province,*** 3D images of the lightning progression have been obtained successfully for the first time in *** 3D-channel evolutions of typical negative CG,positive CG and IC lightning flashes have been discussed together with the data of fast electric field *** was found that significant differences existed between the negative and positive CG lightning flashes in terms of the initiation and propagation of the radiation *** preliminary breakdown of a negative CG lightning flash propagated at a speed about 5.2×104 m/*** stepped leader of negative CG lightning flashes was trigged by negative initial ***,it propagated downward at a speed of 1.3×105 m/*** initial process of the positive CG lightning flashes was also a propagation process of negative *** streamers propagated dominantly horizontally in the positive charge region and accumulated positive charges at the origin of the lightning,and as a consequence,initiated downward positive streamers.A new type of lightning discharge that was triggered by a narrow bipolar pulse(NBP) is discussed in this *** NBP was originated at altitude of about 10.5 km in the upper positive charge *** a distinct difference from normal IC flash,its channels extended horizontally all around and produced a lot of radiation *** source power of the NBP could approach 16.7 kW,which is much greater than that of normal lightning discharge ranging between 100 mW and 500 *** 3D propagation of this new type of lightning discharge was observed and obtained for the first time in *** possible initiation mechanism of this new type of light-ning is discussed here.

A one-dimensional stationary nonisentropic hydrodynamic model for semiconductor devices with non-constant lattice temperature is studied. This model consists of the equations for the electron density, the electron current density and electron temperature, coupled with the Poisson equation of the electrostatic potential in a bounded interval supplemented with proper boundary conditions. The existence and uniqueness of a strong subsonic steady-state solution with positive particle density and positive temperature is established. The proof is based on the fixed-point arguments, the Stampacchia truncation methods, and the basic energy estimates.

In this paper,we give a definition of Bloch mappings defined in the unit polydisk D^n, which generalizes the concept of Bloch functions defined in the unit disk *** is known that Bloch theorem fails unless we have some restrictive assumption on holomorphic mappings in several complex *** shall establish the corresponding distortion theorems for subfamiliesβ(K)andβ_(loc)(K) of Bloch mappings defined in the polydisk D^n,which extend the distortion theorems of Liu and Minda to higher *** an application,we obtain lower and upper bounds of Bloch constants for various subfamilies of Bloeh mappings defined in D^*** particular,our results reduce to the classical results of Ahlfors and Landau when n=1.

By employing the QCD factorization approach for the exclusive B→Vγ decays, we study the exclusive decay B→K~*γ in the top-quark two-Higgs-doublet model (T2HDM). Within the considered parameter space, we find the following conclusions (a) A light charged-Higgs boson with a mass about 200 GeV is clearly excluded by the date of B→K~*γ decay, and this lower limit is comparable with that from the inclusive B→Xγ decay; (b) The theoretical predictions for CP asymmetry of B→K~*γ in the T2HDM is always less than 1% in size; and (c) The isospin symmetry breaking for B→K~*γ decay in the SM and T2HDM considered here is around 6% in size and well consistent with the data and the general expectations.

We propose an evolution model of cooperative agent and noncooperative agent aggregates to investigate the dynamic evolution behaviors of the system and the effects of the competing microscopic reactions on the dynamic evolution. In this model, each cooperative agent and noncooperative agent are endowed with integer values of cooperative spirits and nonco- operative spirits, respectively. The cooperative spirits of a cooperative agent aggregate and the noncooperative spirits of a noncooperative agent aggregate change via four competing microscopic reaction schemes： the win-win reaction between two cooperative agents, the lose-lose reaction between two noncooperative agents, the win-lose reaction between a coop- erative agent and a noncooperative agent （equivalent to the migration of spirits from cooperative agents to noncooperative agents）, and the cooperative agent catalyzed decline of noncooperative spirits. Based on the generalized Smoluchowski＇s rate equation approach, we investigate the dynamic evolution behaviors such as the total cooperative spirits of all coop- erative agents and the total noncooperative spirits of all noncooperative agents. The effects of the three main groups of competition on the dynamic evolution are revealed. These include：（i） the competition between the lose-lose reaction and the win-lose reaction, which gives rise to respectively the decrease and increase in the noncooperative agent spirits; （ii） the competition between the win-win reaction and the win-lose reaction, which gives rise to respectively the increase and decrease in the cooperative agent spirits; （iii） the competition between the win-lose reaction and the catalyzed-decline reaction, which gives rise to respectively the increase and decrease in the noncooperative agent spirits.

We determined the variation tendency of viscosity (η) at various solids load- ing (α) for 3Y-TZP suspension as a function of dispersant concentration (Cw) using vis- cosity measurement, measured the diameter of particles as a function of Cw in very dilute suspension using light scattering method, and obtained the surface features of the sedi- ment of suspension with different Cw using SEM. We also discussed the influence of the microstructure of adsorbed polymer layers on particles and their interactions in the dis- persing medium on the stability of suspension. Then two different stable states and two different unstable states for 3Y-TZP suspension were given. Accordingly, the (Cw, η), (Cw, α), and (α, η) two-parameter, and (Cw, α, η) three-parameter stability maps were con- structed. Based on the DLVO theory calculations, the dispersant concentration, particle distance (r), and interparticle potential energy (VT) maps with various solids loading for 3Y-TZP aqueous suspension were also constructed. In (Cw, r) two-parameter coordinate system, the stable motion region map for particles was established. The Cw, α, and VT,max (the highest potential energy) surface of the potential barrier map was obtained through calculation and simulation on the basis of the surfaces of Cw, r, VT maps introduced above. The (Cw, α) two-parameter stability map was then obtained from the Cw, α, VT,max map. The results showed that this theoretical map can qualitatively prove the experimentally obtained results—the existence of different dispersed states of particles in suspension system and the variation tendency of suspension stability with changing each parame- ter—were reasonable.

The complex variable method for the plane elasticity theory of icosahedral quasicrystals is developed. Based on the general solution obtained previously, complex representations of stress and displacement components of phonon and phason fields in the quasicrystals are given. With the help of conformal transformation, an analytic solution for the elliptic notch problem of the material is presented. The solution of the Griffith crack problem can be observed as a special case of the results. The stress intensity factor and energy release rate of the crack are also obtained.
