Relay,which serves to enhance the performance of future communication networks,is one of the most promising techniques for IMT-Advanced *** potential performance improvement of relay is investigated in this *** investigation consists of two *** the first step,to obtain a better understanding of the fundamental properties of relay channels,we conducted outdoor measurements at 2.35 GHz with 50 MHz bandwidth in a typical urban area of *** links constituting the relay transmission,i.e.,the link between base station and relay station,the link between relay station and mobile station and the link between base station and mobile station were measured by employing a real-time channel *** main factors that affect the MIMO channel capacity,i.e.,the channel gain and effective degrees of freedom,are *** cross-polarization discrimination was obtained by utilizing space-alternating generalized expectation-maximization *** channel parameters of the three links are statistically analyzed and *** the second step,based on the measured data,the performance of different relaying schemes,i.e.,amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward,is *** impact of RS antenna configuration on the capacity is also *** measurement and evaluation results reveal that the relay can significantly improve the system coverage and performance.

On the bounds of frequency-selective channel capacity with doubly correlated geometrical MIMO channel model

The multi-input multi-output （MIMO） technology plays an important role in link transmissions. This article considers the general case for the ergodic capacity in doubly correlated frequency-selective MIMO channel. In the study, the geometrical MIMO channel model is presented. Based on the formula of MIMO ergodic capacity, the capacity limits are studied with arbitrary finite number of antennas in the frequency-selective MIMO channel. It first derives the exact expressions for the upper bound and lower bound in doubly correlated MIMO channel. The results for the single-ended correlation and independent identically distributed （i.i.d.） MIMO channel are also obtained as special cases. Then the simple expressions of the capacity bounds are attained at high SNR. Finally, results are provided by Monte Carlo simulations to verify the tightness of the derived bounds.

Spectral efficient half-duplex relaying with interference suppression

Two-hop relaying systems suffer spectral efficiency loss due to the half-duplex property of relays. This paper proposes an efficient relaying protocol which can recover the spectral efficiency loss but still work with half-duplex relays. However,there exists inter-relay interference which degrades the performance of the protocol. With this consideration,a power control policy is derived to suppress the interference using game theory,and then an algorithm is given to facilitate distributed implementation. Furthermore,impact of deploying more destination antennas on performance of the relaying protocol is investigated. Simulation results show that,with the power control policy,the proposed relaying protocol can achieve high spectral efficiency.

NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SUMMER CIRCULATION IN THE EAST china SEA AND ITS APPLICATION IN ESTIMATING THE SOURCES OF RED TIDES IN THE YANGTZE RIVER ESTUARY AND ADJACENT SEA AREAS

Based on the COHERENS （a Coupled Hydrodynamical Ecological model for Regional Shelf seas）, a three-dimensional baroclinic model for the summer of East china Sea （ECS） was established with the sigma-coordinate in the vertical direction and spherical coordinate in the horizontal direction. The circulation patterns of the Kuroshio Current, the Taiwan Warm Current （TWC）, the Tsushima Current and the Yangtze Diluted Water （YDW） were successfully simulated with this model. The calculated results are fairly consistent with previous observations and studies. Based on this baroclinic current field, the Lagranian particles tracking was simulated to estimate the possible origins of the red tides frequently occurring in the Yangtze River estuary and its adjacent sea areas. If there are ＂seeds＂（cysts） of the red tide algae at the seabed of the Taiwan Strait, the offshore of Fujian and Zhejiang Provinces and the northeast Taiwan Island, those are extremely possible sources of the red tides in the Yangtze River estuary and its adjacent sea areas. Field data are needed to confirm it. Numerical simulation to estimate the source of the red tides is a new application of the Lagrangian transport in the marine ecology.

Synchronization of Digital Chaos in Secure Communication Systems

The theories of synchronization based on secure communications using digital chaos are presented. A new synchronous method-cycles-interval Pulse drive is developed and realized. Experimental results show it is available, and in order to reduce synchronous noise, a method using model references solves the ratio of signal power to noise power, so the secure communication system can be realized.

EXIT analysis of M-algorithm based MIMO detectors and LDPC code design optimization

This paper investigates joint design and optimization of both low density parity check （LDPC） codes and M-algorithm based detectors including iterative tree search （ITS） and soft-output M-algorithm （SOMA） in multiple-input multiple-output （MIMO） systems via the tool of extrinsic information transfer （EXIT） charts. First, we present EXIT analysis for ITS and SOMA. We indicate that the extrinsic information transfer curves of ITS obtained by Monte Carlo simulations based on output log-likelihood rations are not true EXIT curves, and the explanation for such a phenomenon is given, while for SOMA, the true EXIT curves can be computed, enabling the code design. Then, we propose a new design rule and method for LDPC code degree profile optimization in MIMO systems. The algorithm can make the EXIT curves of the inner decoder and outer decoder match each other properly, and can easily attain the desired code with the target rate. Also, it can transform the optimization problem into a linear one, which is computationally simple. The significance of the proposed optimization approach is validated by the simulation results that the optimized codes perform much better than standard non-optimized ones when used together with SOMA detector.

Seeking exact analytical solutions of nonlinear evolution equations is of fundamental importance in mathematical physics. In this paper, based on a constructive algorithm and symbolic computation, abundant new exact solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equations are obtained, among which there are soliton-like solutions, mult-soliton-like solutions and formal periodic solutions, etc. Certain special solutions are considered and some interesting localized structures are revealed.

This paper proposes a generalization for applications of signal space alignment(SSA) in a generalized multiple input multiple output(MIMO) Y channel with K(K 2) nodes and an intermediate *** on that generalization,a method is introduced to determine the practical conditions for *** first study the generalized MIMO Y channel model with general signal demands;then,the degrees of freedom(DoF) achieved are given and are proved using *** SSA could decrease the number of antennas at the relay,it places new restrictions on the numbers of antennas at the *** then introduce a method to compare the models with and without SSA network coding(SSA-NC),mainly from the perspective of the total number of antennas *** results show that if each node must be able to exchange signals with all others,the model with SSA will definitely use more antennas to supply the same DoF,when K > *** it is not necessary for every node to exchange signals with all others,the comparison can still be made by using the method introduced *** a result,the conditions under which SSA-NC is needed are presented.
