The mass extinction at the end-Triassic is one of the five biggest in the Phanerozoic. However,it is the least well understood among these five events, and only till last decade it became a great academic interesting subject to geologists. The evidences for this event come obviously from bivalves, brachiopods, ammonites, corals, radiolaria, ostracods and foraminifera of marine habitats, and plants and tetrapods of terrestrial realm. By contrast, for some of other groups, such as marine gastropods and marine vertebrates, no mass extinction has been recog-nized yet. The extinction event is strongly marked at specific level but shown a complicated situa-tion at generic and family levels. Dramatic changing of the environment, such as the temperature raise due to the greenhouse effect, the marine anoxic habitats caused by a sudden transgression after the regression at the end of Triassic, has been claimed to be the main cause of the extinction. Many hypotheses have been suggested to demonstrate the mechanisms of the environment changing, among which two popular ones are the bolide impact and volcanic eruption. The Triassic-Jurassic (Tr-J) boundary mass extinction event is still poorly understood because no enough data have been obtained from the Tr-J boundary successional sections of both marine and terrestrial sediments, and most of these studies were regionally restricted. The basic aspects of the event and its associated environmental conditions remain poorly characterized and the causal mechanism or mechanisms are equivocal. Some authors even doubt its occurrence. china has many successionally developed terrestrial and marine Tr-J sections. Detailed studies of these sections may be important and significant for well understanding of the event.

PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION ON THE WALL OF THE INNER CYLINDER RECIPROCATING AXIALLY TO THE UNSTEADY FLOW OF VISCOELASTIC FLUID IN ECCENTRIC ANNULUS

In this article, the governing equations for the unsteady flow of viscoelastic fluid in the eccentric annulus with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially and the expression of the pressure distribution on the wall of the inner cylinder of the annulus are established and derived, respectively, under the bipolar coordinate system. The equations and the expression are solved and calculated numerically using the finite difference method, respectively. The curves of the pressure distribution on the wall of the inner cylinder of the aqueous solution of Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide （HPAM） are plotted and the influences of annular eccentricity, stroke, and stroke frequency on the pressure distribution are analyzed.

The study of the chlorite coatings always attracts scholars in china and other countries because the chlorite coatings play an important role in the preservation of residual primary pores in sandstone *** present,the study of the origin and the controlling factors is relatively *** occurrence,time of formation,genesis,controlling factors,and the mechanism of chlorite coatings inhibiting quartz overgrowths were studied in detail with thin section and SEM *** were from the sandstone reservoirs of the T3x Group in the Baojie area,the transitional zone from the middle to the south of Sichuan *** results indicate that the chlorite coatings on the walls of the pore spaces are oriented perpendicular to grain surfaces in the form of isopachous(even-thickness) grain-coating,while the chlorite coatings at the contacts between adjacent detrital grains are arranged with a preferred orientation tangential to the surface of detrital *** chlorite coatings were formed in the eogenetic *** were formed by recrystallization of Fe-rich clay films during the syndepositional period,and chlorite cements would be recrystallized after the coatings’ *** formation of chlorite coatings was mainly controlled by the depositional environment,provenance conditions,and diagenetic *** presence of chlorite coatings could result in the preservation of primary pores in deeply buried sandstone reservoirs by effectively inhibiting quartz overgrowths and the development of compaction and pressure solution.

A method for solving Nash equilibria of games based on public announcement logic

Describing the interactional behavior of rational agents and seeking equilibria are two main domains of game theory. The epistemic foundation of the above two domains is based on the assumption that all players are rational. However, game theory itself cannot precisely model the higher-order information changes of mutual knowledge among players, so in the current studies of game theory the interpretations of rationality are vague. In this paper, a concept of the rationality is redefined through incorporating an epistemic ingredient. Then a method is proposed to solve and refine Nash equilibria which is grounded on public announcement logic, and it is proved that the iterated announcement of this rationality assertion characterizes the iterated admissibility algorithm in game theory, which offers a dynamic epistemic foundation for this algorithm. Finally, an implementation of this method, based on the extended DEMO, is shown to be correct.

Particle impact drilling is an efficient drilling technology for deep-well hard formation, With this technology, the rock is cut mainly by high-speed spherical particle impact under hydraulic action. In this article, the influence of jet flow factors, hydraulic factors and abrasive factors on rock breaking is studied through indoor experiments of impact by steel particles. The results indicate that the particle water jet has an optimal standoff distance and particle concentration; the rock breaking effect declines with the increase of the confining pressure and the decrease of the pump pressure and particle diameter. This study will provide some food of thought for the development of particle impact drilling technology.

A new method for quantitative X-ray diffraction phase analysis of a powder misture has been developed according to Popovic's doping method. The weight fraction of amorphous material in the analysed sample is obtained. For a multicomponent system in which (n-2) pure phases are added into an n-phase compnent sample and theweight fractions of all n phases can be determined by the method. The test results of confirmation agree well with the theory.

The concept of hydrocarbon accumulation in network was presented on basis of the overall analysis of the formation and evolution characteristics of the continental faulted basin and of the systemic re-search on the major controlling factors on the hydrocarbon accumulation. The hydrocarbon accumu-lation in network can be defined as hydrocarbon accumulation in a three-dimensional network system which is constituted by the hydrocarbon migration passages under multiple dynamics,following the hydrocarbon generation from source rocks. The research shows that the hydrocarbon accumulation in network is composed of four elements,i.e.,hydrocarbon source (source rock kitchen),hydrocarbon accumulation terminal (trap),network pathway connecting source and terminal (transporting system),and network potential driving hydrocarbon migration in the network pathway (migration dynamics). Compared with other networks,hydrocarbon accumulation in network has three basic characteristics: the irreversible geological process of material and information flow in the network; the loss of material and information in the flow process in the network; the multiple dynamics in the flow process. Interac-tion of all the elements in the geological process can be called hydrocarbon accumulation in network. There are three basic models for hydrocarbon accumulation in network,that is,hydrocarbon accumu-lation in the network source area,hydrocarbon accumulation in the network pathway,and hydrocarbon accumulation in the network terminal. The key in the application of the hydrocarbon accumulation models in network in practice is to confirm the major accumulation stage and the function range of the four elements controlling the hydrocarbon firstly,to predict the profitable accumulation region by su-perposition of the favorable areas confirmed by four elements consequently,and to evaluate the oil-bearing property of the trap as well as confirm drilling targets. The productivity evaluation model and its application for finite conductivity horizontal wells in fault block reservoirs
