Photoluminescence and Optical Transition Dynamics of Er^(3+) Ions in Porous Si

Er was doped into porous Si by immersing the porous Si sample in a saturated ErCl3,ethanol solution. Sharp and intense 1.54 μm photoluminescence caused by intra-4f-shefl transitions in Er3+ ions was observed up to room temperature. It is shown that the immersing process is valid to dope Er in high concentration in porous Si. Time resolved study of the Er-doped porous Si revealed that the doped Er3+ ions are excited by energy transfer from photo-generated electron-hole pairs in the host. The energy back transfer process from the excited 4f electrons in the Er3+ion to the host is not a dominant factor to quench the Er-related emission in porous Si. Ourresults are well explained by a proposed model in which an intermediate state was introduced.

Three different kinds of rare-earth metal phthalocyanine complexes(Pc_2LuH,Pc_3Gd_2, R_(12) Pc_3Dy_2)were *** ultra-thin films were prepared by the Langmuir-Blodgett techni- *** were observed in Langmuir film of Pc_3Gd_2 by means of transmission electron micros- *** limiting molecular areas of the phthalocyanine derivatives on pure water increased in the order mono-,di-and triphthalocyanine,implying that these phthalocyanine molecules are stacked with a face-to-face orientation and edge-on to the water *** using scanning tunneling mic- roscopy individual molecules of lutetium diphthalocyanine adsorbed on graphite surfaces were imaged for the first time.

A new triterpenoid saponin, named segetoside k, has been isolated from the seeds of Vaccaria segetalis. On the basis of chemical reaction and spectral analysis, the structure of segetoside K was established as:olean-12-ene-23a, 286-dioic acid 36, 16a-dihydroxy-28-O- [βD-glucopyranosyl-(1 →3)]-β-D-glucopyra-nosyl-(l →2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(l→6)-β-D- glucopyranoside(1).

Since the theory of generalized two-dimensional (2-D) correlation spectroscopy was proposed, it has been keenly concerned in scientific research and its analytical method has been widely applied in various analytical fields. The mathematical process to construct generalized 2-D correlation spectroscopy and the physical meaning of 2-D correlation spectral map are described, and three examples in the fields of chemical analysis and molecular biology are provided, such as the component analysis of organic solvent, the analysis of biological molecules in the solvent with different pH values and structural analysis of protein. The theory and analytical method of generalized 2-D correlation spectroscopy are also detailedly commented.

The risk of drinking water is greatly concerned because of the large amount of pesticide applied to paddy field and the contamination of drinking water sources due to the runoff. A mathematical model is developed, based on the mass balance, to predict the fate of paddy field pesticides from application, runoff and mixing in a river, taking account of the physical chemical properties and processes of volatilization, degradation, adsorption and desorption. The model is applied to a river basin in japan to estimate the contaminant level of several popularly used pesticides at the water intakes. The health risk in drinking water induced by each pesticide concerned is estimated and evaluated by comparing with the acceptable daily intake values(ADI) and with that induced by trihalomethanes. An index to evaluate the total risk of all pesticides appearing in water is proposed. The methods for risk management are also discussed.

Immunosuppressive microenvironments present critical problems in clinical *** regulate the tumor immune microenvironment for enhancing antitumor effect,a combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)with chemotherapeutics has been applied *** this study,miriplatin(MiPt),the lipidic derivative of 5-fluorouracil(Fu-OA),as well as the programmed death ligand 1(PD-L1)target si RNA(siPD-L1)were integrated into Lip-Pt/Fu@siPD-L1 nanoparticles(NPs)for *** vitro results showed that Lip-Pt/Fu@siPD-L1 NPs could exhibit effective siRNA gene silencing and promote the phagocytosis of tumor cells by ***,in vivo results revealed that LipPt/Fu@siPD-L1 NPs showed significantly higher anti-tumor efficiency than that of the physical mixing of Mi Pt,5-fluorouracil,and Lip@siPD-L1 NPs(delivery of siPD-L1 by liposomes).The best anti-tumor efficiency of Lip-Pt/Fu@siPD-L1 NPs resulted from the synergistic immunotherapeutic effects of Mi Pt and siPD-L1 based on the inhibition of CD47 expression and the downregulation of PD-L1 in tumor cells,which elicited a robust anti-tumor immune response through the activation of macrophage phagocytosis and immune checkpoint *** Lip-Pt/Fu@siPD-L1 NPs provide a potential strategy for tumor chemo-immunotherapy.
