AIM: To develop a high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/ESI) method for simultaneous determination of quetiapine and its sulfoxide-, 7-hydroxy-, 7-hydroxy-N-dealkyl-metabo-lites in human plasma. METHOdS: The HPLC separation of the compounds was performed on a Kromasil C18, (5 urn, 4.6 mm×150 mm) column, using water (formic acid: 1.70 mmol/L, ammonium acetate: 5.8 mmol/L)-acetoni trile (65:35) as mobile phase, with a flow-rate of 0.95 mL/min. The compounds were ionized in the electrospray ionization (ESI) ion source of the mass spectrometer and detected in the selected ion recording (SIR) mode. The samples were extracted using solid-phase extraction columns. RESULTS: The calibration curves were linear in the ranges of 10-2000 μg/L for quetiapine, 1-200 μg/L for its metabolites, respectively. The average extraction recoveries for all the four samples were above 85 %.

This study aimed to develop a cell culture model of Huntington disease and observe the effect of sodium butyrate on this cell culture *** 1 of both a wild type and a mutant IT15 gene from the genomic dNA of a healthy adult and a patient with Hunt- ington disease was amplified and cloned into the eukaryotic expression vector *** neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells were tran- siently transfected with these recombinant plasmids in the absence and presence of sodium butyrate(0.1,0.2,0.5,1.0 mmol/L).The MTT assay was used to measure cell *** results indicated that the N-terminal fragment of mutant huntingtin formed perinuclear and intranuclear aggregates and caused a decrease of SH-SY5Y cell *** butyrate inhibited the decrease of SH-SY5Y cell via- bility caused by the N-terminal fragment of mutant *** suggests that sodium butyrate has a protective effect on this cell cul- ture model of Huntington disease.

The authors first put forward the concept of metallogenic couplezone(MCZ) through the research on metallogenic zones in Zhejiang. different features of the metal and nonmetal MCZ in Zhejiang are studied. MCZ model which is related to geodome and diwa series is established. The author thinks that MCZ dynamic characteristic is related with crustobody dynamics, and controlled by magmatic, volcanic and structural activity zoning.

P/M Ti-Fe-Mo-Y alloys with different Rare-earth Y Content are prepared by blend element method, its sintering and hot deformation behaviors are studied together with microstructure and mechanical properties. The microstructures and properties of the alloying titanium were testified by the analysis of Optical microscopy (OM), X-ray diffraction (XRd), scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The result indicated that Y element absorbs free oxygen and purify the Ti powder surface, promoting densification process. With appropriate vacuum and temperature, the blend element metal powder sintering relative density can reach more than 97%. Microstructure and mechanical properties analysis shown that Y element composed Y2O3 particles which refine grains and improve plasticity, elevate alloy distortion ability. After hot deformation, grains crashed and flow line appears, the mechanical properties of Ti-Fe-Mo-Y alloy prompted which also validated by large amount of dimples appear in tensile fracture surface.

BACKGROUNd: Postoperative regional chemotherapy is one of the most effective methods to decrease the recurrent rate and improve the prognosis of primary hepatocarcinoma (PHC). This study was undertaken to assess the optimal pathway to implant the drug delivery system (ddS) in the different ways of resecting PHC so as to offer a valuable reference to clinical implantation of the ddS. METHOdS: One hundred and ninety cases were divided into two groups according to whether the tumors were resected completely (A) or not (B). Groups A and B were subdivided into three groups a, b and c according to the pathway selected for ddS implantation. The patients in subgroup a received ddS implantation through both the hepatic artery and portal vein (A+P-implanted group), the patients in subgroup b received ddS implantation through the portal vein (P-implanted group), and the patients in subgroup c received ddS implantation through the hepatic artery (A-implanted group). RESULTS: The 1- and 3-year recurrent rates of subgroup c in group A were higher than those of subgroup b, and there was no significant difference between subgroups a and b. Compared with subgroups a and c, the 1- and 3-year survival rates of subgroup b were similar to those of group a but higher than those of group c. The 1- and 3-year survival rates between subgroups a and b in group B were significantly different. The prognosis of subgroup c was lower than that of subgroup a and no significant difference was observed between subgroups b and c. CONCLUSIONS: The ddS should be implanted into the portal vein when PHC is resected completely. It may be better to implant it into both portal vein and hepatic artery if the tumor cannot be completely resected.

Methods: The family members in 300 households with domestic violence (dV) were randomly selected, and 300 non-dV households marched for family structure were as control group. Aim:To study the multiple dose clinical pharmacokinetics of risperidone and itsmain active metabolite,9-hydroxyrisperidone,in Chinese female patients ***:The subjects were 23 Chinese female inpatients aged18-65 years who met the CCMd-Ⅲ（third revision of the Chinese Criteria of Men-tal disorders）criteria for *** were tested after 17 d of treat-ment with 2 mg risperidone twice *** concentrations of risperidone and9-hydroxy-risperidone were assayed by using validated high performance liquidchromatography-mass spectrometry（HPLC-MS）***:Risperidonewas rapidly absorbed(Tmaxwas 1.6 h)and its T1/2in plasma was short（3.2 h）.9-hydroxy-risperidone was quickly metabolized from the parent drug with a meanTmaxof 2.5 *** had a long half-life of 24.7 *** Cavssof risperidone and 9-hydroxy-risperidone were 36.9±33.1 and 110.6±30.5 μg·h·L-1,respectively,and the AUC0-12sswere 443.2+397.4 and 1327.2±402.3 μg·h·L-1,***/F and V/F ofrisperidone were 8.7±6.2 L/h and 34.1±24.3 L,*** varia-tions for pharmacokinetic parameters were quite large for *** 23 sub-jects experienced high prolactin levels when treated with *** was no correlation between prolactin level and the concentration ofrisperidone,9-hydroxy-risperidone,or the active ***:Risperidoneshowed large interindividual variations in *** ofrisperidone resulted in high serum prolactin *** results indicate that sys-temic exposure to risperidone and 9-hydroxy-risperidone in female Chinese schizo-phrenic patients is higher relative to published data for white Caucasian *** studies regarding the PK/Pd relationship may be required to develop areasonable clinical dosage regimen for Chinese female patients.

In this article, the generalized reflexive solution of matrix equations （AX = B, XC = d） is considered. With special properties of generalized reflexive matrices, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability and the general expression of the solution are obtained. Surgical Treatment for Complications of Congenital Retinoschisis

This study examined the clinical features of complications of congenital retinoschisis and the clinical efficacy of vitreoretinal surgery in the treatment of these *** clinical efficacy of surgical treatments was retrospectively analyzed in 10 patients with congenital retinoschisis（10 eyes） complicated with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment（n=5）,vitreous hemorrhage（n=2） and macula-involving schisis（n=1）.All the patients suffered foveal and peripheral *** were treated with scleral buckling（n=1） or vitrectomy（n=9）.After the surgical treatment,the retina was reattached in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment;the refractive media became transparent in those with vitreous hemorrhage;the visual acuity in 80% of patients was improved;no remarkable progression of schisis was found;no severe operative complications *** was concluded that vitreoretinal surgery in the treatment of complications of congenital retinoschisis is safe and effective,and helps improve and maintain the visual function.
