Dempster and rubin(D&r) in their JrSSB paper considered the statistical error caused by data rounding in a linear regression model and compared the Sheppard correction,BrB correction and the ordinary LSE by *** asymptotic results when the rounding scale tends to 0 were also *** a previous research,we found that the ordinary sample variance of rounded data from normal populations is always inconsistent while the sample mean of rounded data is consistent if and only if the true mean is a multiple of the half rounding *** the light of these results,in this paper we further investigate the rounding errors in linear *** notice that these results form the basic reasons that the Sheppard corrections perform better than other methods in D&r examples and their conclusion in general cases is *** in which the Sheppard correction works worse than the BrB correction are also ***,we propose a new approach to estimate the parameters,called "two-stage estimator",and establish the consistency and asymptotic normality of the new estimators.

The current study compared the processes of updating verbal and visuospatial working memory (WM) and examined the roles of central executive and slave systems in working memory updating tasks, by changing the number of items updated simultaneously to manipulate the load on central executive. Ex- periment 1 used the verbal WM updating task, and the results validated the efficiency of the paradigm to manipulate the load on central executive. Experiment 2.employed the verbal WM updating task, with the articulatory suppression task to interfere with the phonological loop. The results supported the study by Morris and Jones, revealing that the central executive system played an important role in the updating component of verbal WM, while the phonological loop was responsible for the serial recall component. Experiment 3 employed the visuospatial WM updating task, with the spatial tapping task to interfere with the visuospatial sketchpad. The results suggested that the visuospatial sketchpad and the central execu- tive together dealt with the updating component, while the visuospatial sketchpad was responsible for the serial recall component by itself. These results are consistent with the findings that visuospatial sketch- pad has close links with central executive, while the phonological loop is separated from the central ex- ecutive. It suggests that updating visuospatial and verbal WM are not two parallel processes.

Saddlepoint approximations for the studentized compound poisson sums with no moment conditions in audit sampling are derived. This result not only provides a very accurate approximation for studentized compound poisson sums, but also can be applied much more widely in statistical inference of the error amount in an audit population of accounts to check the validity of financial statements of a firm. Some numerical illustrations and comparison with the normal approximation method are presented.

Antimicrobial resistance(AMr)poses a critical threat to global health and development,with environmental factors—particularly in urban areas—contributing significantly to the spread of antibiotic resistance genes(ArGs).However,most research to date has been conducted at a local level,leaving significant gaps in our understanding of the global status of antibiotic resistance in urban *** address this issue,we thoroughly analyzed a total of 86,2.3 ArGs detected within 4,72. metagenome samples,which were collected by the Meta SUB International Consortium involving diverse urban environments in 60 cities of 2. countries,utilizing a deep-learning based *** findings demonstrated the strong geographical specificity of urban environmental resistome,and their correlation with various local socioeconomic and medical *** also identified distinctive evolutionary patterns of ArG-related biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)across different countries,and discovered that the urban environment represents a rich source of novel *** study provides a comprehensive overview of the global urban environmental resistome,and fills a significant gap in our knowledge of large-scale urban antibiotic resistome analysis.

The objective of this study was to obtain spatial distribution maps of paddy rice fields using multi-date moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) data in *** rice fields were extracted by identifying the unique char-acteristic of high soil moisture in the flooding and transplanting period with improved algorithms based on rice growth calendar *** characteristic could be reflected by the enhanced vegetation index(EVI) and the land surface water index(LSWI) derived from MODIS sensor *** for single,early,and late rice identification were obtained from selected typical test *** algorithms could not only separate early rice and late rice planted in the same fields,but also reduce the *** areal accuracy of the MODIS-derived results was validated by comparison with agricultural statistics,and the spatial matching was examined by ETM+(enhanced thematic mapper plus) images in a test *** factors that might cause errors,such as the coarse spatial resolution and noises in the MODIS data,were *** not suitable for monitoring the inter-annual variations due to some inevitable factors,the MODIS-derived results were useful for obtaining spatial distribution maps of paddy rice on a large scale,and they might provide reference for further studies.

The novel coronavirus disease 2.19(COVID-19)outbreak on the Diamond princess(Dp)ship has caused over 634 cases as of February 2.,*** model the transmission process on Dp ship as a stochastic branching process,and estimate the reproduction number at the innitial phase of 2.9(95%CrI:1.7e7.7).The epidemic doubling time is 3.4 days,and thus timely actions on COVID-19 control were *** estimate the COVID-19 transmissibility reduced 34%after the quarantine program on the Dp ship which was implemented on February *** to the model simulation,relocating the population at risk may sustainably decrease the epidemic size,postpone the timing of epidemic peak,and thus relieve the tensive demands in the *** lesson learnt on the ship should be considered in other similar settings.
