Three-year changes of surface albedo of degraded grassland and cropland surfaces in a semiarid area

Diurnal, seasonal and interannual variations of surface albedo of degraded grassland and cropland surfaces at a semiarid area of Tognyu have been investigated based on the continuous three years observational data from 2003 to 2005. The changes of surface albedo with solar elevation angle and soil moisture have been discussed also. It has been found that surface albedo has almost the same diurnal and seasonal variations on degraded grassland and cropland surfaces in the semiarid area, while sur- face albedo is large in winter and small in summer. The diurnal variation of the surface albedo has re- lationship with the weather condition. The diurnal cycle of the surface albedo likes the "U" shape curve in sunny day, while it is low-high after the rain, and high-low after the snow. The surface albedo has large variation in cloudy day, while it has no any variation in overcast day. The large difference of the surface albedo can be 0.04 in winter between two land surfaces, because the snow has large effects on the surface albedo in winter. The rainfall is an important factor in summer on the surface albedo, while the difference of the surface albedo is 0.01 only between two land surfaces. The differences of the surface albedo can also be 0.04 in autumn due to vegetation growing. The seasonal-average surface albeo from 2003―2005 is 0.25, 0.22, 0.24, 0.32 respectively in spring, summer, autumn and winter on the degraded grassland surface,while it is 0.25, 0.21, 0.22, 0.33 respectively in spring, summer, autumn and winter on the cropland surface. The surface albedo becomes smaller with the increase of solar elevation angle. When the solar elevation angle is greater than 40°, the surface albedo changes very little and tends to be a constant. The surface albedo has negative exponent functions with soil moisture in the growing season.

Cubic boron nitride (cBN) is a kind of artificial (synthetic) crystal. Transverse electro-optic modulation in a minute cBN sample was carried out. Basing on the practical form of the crystal, we established the theoretical and experimental method according to the sample. For the first time, the linear electro-optic effect was observed in cBN, and half-wave voltage of the cBN sample was measured successfully. Furthermore, its linear electro-optic coefficient was calculated at 1.17×10?14 m/V.

Wavelet analysis has applications in many ar- eas, such as signal analysis and image processing. We pro- pose a method for generating the complete circuit of Haar wavelet based MRA by factoring butterfly matrices and con- ditional perfect shuffle permutation matrices. The factoriza- tion of butterfly matrices is the essential part of the design. As a result, it is the key point to obtain the circuits of I 2t ⊕ W ⊕ I 2n ? 2t ?2. In this paper, we use a simple means to de- velop quantum circuits for this kind of matrices. Similarly, the conditional permutation matrix is implemented entirely, combined with the scheme of Fijany and Williams. The cir- cuits and the ideas adopted in the design are simple and in- telligible.

Utilizing NIPGA,an experimental device for cement raw material analysis has been developed,with a 2.5 MeV D-D neutron generator,BGO detector and 2048 MCA.A linear regression was developed for calculating the data.A 6-month on-site application of the system showed that the CaO,SiO2,Fe2O3 and Al2O3 analysis results agreed well with chemical analysis,within 0.40%,0.40%,0.50% and 0.50%,respectively.

[Objective] The research aimed to analyze the rainstorm process and backward trajectory simulation of water vapor condition in jilin province in July,2010.[Method] Based on the actual situation data of routine weather chart,NCEP (2.5°×2.5°) reanalysis data per 6 h and GBL data of NOAA,the rainstorm process was carried out the diagnostic analysis of physical quantity in jilin province in July,***,HYSPLIT backward trajectory mode was used to simulate the water vapor source.[Result] The coexistence of upper-level divergence and low-level convergence generated the ascending motion,which was the dynamic condition of rainstorm *** unstable energy induced by the low-level shear promoted the generation of heavy *** water vapor source of precipitation process was divided into the water vapor in the southern sea area,northern high-altitude water vapor transportation and local water vapor source.[Conclusion] The research provided some reference basis for the forecast and analysis of rainstorm.

Comprehensive benefit of flood resources utilization through dynamic successive fuzzy evaluation model: A case study

Taking the flood resources utilization in Baicheng, jilin during 2002–2007 as the research background, and based on the entropy weight and multi-level & multi-objective fuzzy optimization theory, this research established a multi-level & semi-constructive index system and dynamic successive evaluation model for comprehensive benefit evaluation of regional flood resources utilization. With the year 2002 as the base year, the analyzing results showed that there existed a close positive correlation between flood utilization volume and its benefits, comprehensive evaluation value and its comparison increment. Within the six successive evaluation years, the comprehensive benefit of 2003 was the best, in which the benefit evaluation increment reached 82.8% whereas the year of 2004 was the worst, in which the increment was only 18.2%. Thus the sustainability and correctness of the evaluation were verified by six years successive evaluation and increment comparison. The analyzing results showed that the economic benefits, ecological benefits and social benefits of flood utilization were remarkable, and that the comprehensive benefit could be improved by increasing flood utilization capacity, which would promote the regional sustainable development as well. The established dynamic successive evaluation provides a stable theoretical basis and technical support for further flood utilization.

Biomimetic surface is an effective ways to promote the performance grade and applied range of materials without alteringtheir *** improved properties such as resisting fatigue,enduring wear,etc,have been achieved by applyingbiomimetic morphology or structure to some engineering material *** this paper,aiming to reveal the relationshipbetween thermal cracking behavior and mechanical properties of engineering materials with biomimetic surface,biomimeticspecimens were fabricated using laser technique by imitating the heterogeneous structure on the surface of plant *** of thermal fatigue cycling on the tensile properties of H13 die steel specimens with different surfaces (several types ofbiomimetic surfaces and a smooth surface) was compared and *** a result,due to the coupling effects of themorphological features on the surface and the microstructure characteristics within unit zone,these specimens with biomimeticsurface exhibit remarkably enhanced Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) and 0.2% Yield Strength (YS) compared with referencespecimens while corresponding ductility remains largely unaffected even heightened,whether the thermal fatigue loads or *** relative mechanisms leading to these improvements have been discussed.
