In order to study the carrier-based aircraft landing laws landed on the carrier, the dynamics model of carrier-based aircraft landing gears landed on dynamic deck is built. In this model, the interactions of the carrier-based aircraft landing attitude and the damping force acting on landing gears are considered, and the influence of dynamic deck is introduced into the model through the deck normal vectors. The wheel-deck coordinate system is put forward to solve the complex simulation problem of force-onwheel which comes from the dynamic deck. At last, by simulation, it is demonstrated that the model can be applied to landing attitude when the carrier-based aircraft is landing on the dynamic deck, it is also proved that the model is comprehensive and suitable for any abnormal landing situation.

An expert system prototype for fibre-reinforced plastic matrix (FRP) composite material design, ESFRP, has been developed. The system consists of seven main functional parts: a general inference engine, a set of knowledge bases, a material properties algorithm base, an explanation engine, various data bases, several function models and the user interface. The ESFRP can simulate human experts to make design scheme for fibre-reinforced plastics design, FRP layered plates design and FRP typical engineering components design. It can also predict the material properties and make strength analysis according to the micro and macro mechanics of composite materials. A satisfied result can be gained through the reiterative design.

The main contribution of this paper is to present a novel robust observer-based controller design method for discrete-time piecewise affine systems with norm-bounded uncertainties. The key ideas are to construct a piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop systems, approximate polytopic operating regions by ellipsoids, and use the singular value decomposition technique to treat the constraint of matrix equality. It is shown that the suggested control method can be formulated as linear matrix inequalities that are numerically feasible with commer- cially available software. A numerical example is also given to verify the proposed approach.

The organic/inorganic hybrid nanostructural vinylsilsesquioxanes (VSSO) were prepared from the hydrolytic condensation of vinyltrimethoxysilane (VMS). The proposed formu- las of VSSO were assigned with standard spectroscopic techniques, FTIR, NMR (1H, C and 13 29Si) and MALDI-TOF MS, and a generic formula of the SSO, Tn(OH)x(OR’)y(x, y = 0, 1, 2…; n = 1, 2…; T = RSiO1.5 ?(x+y)/2n). Geometric parameters (Si-O and Si-C bond lengths, Si-O-Si and O-Si-O bond angles) and total energies of the multi-structures of VSSO were calculated by a quantum mechanical investigation and molecular symmetries. According to the results of the calculation, most molecules had stabler ladder structures than the cage isomers, therefore, the most probably reasonable and optimum structure of the VSSO system was the ladder type.

To observe the effects of simulated microgravity on beta islet cell culture, we have compared the survival rates and the insulin levels of the isolated rat islet cells cultured at micro- and normal gravity conditions. The survival rates of the cells cultured were determined by acridine orange-propidium iodide double-staining on day 3, 7 and 14. The morphology of the cells was observed by electron microscopy. Insulin levels were measured by radio immuno assays. Our results show that the cell number cultured under the microgravity condition is significantly higher than that under the routine condition (P<0.01). Some tubular structure shown by transmission electron microscopy, possibly for the transport of nutrients, were formed intercellularly in the microgravity cultured group on day 7. There were also abundant secretion particles and mitochondria in the cytoplasm of the cells. Vacuum ultraviolet radiation of Upilex-S polyimide film 25 μm thick was performed using a gas jet type of vacuum ultraviolet simulator which gives unfixed wavelength from 5 nm to 200 *** redeposited on the films were observed and the nanoparticles formed on the surface consist mainly of carbon *** in the composition and the chemical characteristics of film surface after radiation were identified by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Relative O content in the radiated area was found to be higher,while N content was lower than in the pristine *** indicates that Upilex-S polyimide film releases N atoms as volatile *** the C1s,O1s envelopes were fitted using Multipak Spectrum *** surface morphologies on iradiated area were examined by Atomic Force Microscope(AFM).Pieces of radiant products protrude from the eradiated surface,leading to considerable roughness for the iradiated *** the surface transmittance of Upilex-S film after radiation reduces.

In terms of tensor analysis technique, the Navier-Stokes equations in helical coordinate system were derived. A steady incompressible flow of power-law fluid in helical pipes at low Reynolds number was investigated by the perturbation method. A second order solution of secondary flow was worked out. The secondary flow characteristics in helical pipes are analyzed. The effects of the number Dn, curvature and torsion on the secondary flow at different flow parameters were discussed. The results show that the secondary flow pattern changes from a single vortex to two vortices as the number Dn increases at a given curvature and a given torsion. Because of the effect of torsion, the secondary flow pattern changes from two almost symmetrical vortices to a single vortex as the torsion of the helical pipe increases while the Reynolds number and curvature hold constant. The secondary flow pattern cannot be affected by the curvature of the helical pipe at a given Dn number.
