Edge-assisted indexing for highly dynamic and static data in mixed reality connected autonomous vehicles

The integration of Mixed Reality(MR)technology into Autonomous Vehicles(AVs)has ushered in a new era for the automotive industry,offering heightened safety,convenience,and passenger ***,the substantial and varied data generated by MR-Connected AVs(MR-CAVs),encompassing both highly dynamic and static information,presents formidable challenges for efficient data management and *** this paper,we formulate our indexing problem as a constrained optimization problem,with the aim of maximizing the utility function that represents the overall performance of our indexing *** optimization problem encompasses multiple decision variables and constraints,rendering it mathematically infeasible to solve ***,we propose a heuristic algorithm to address the combinatorial complexity of the *** heuristic indexing algorithm efficiently divides data into highly dynamic and static categories,distributing the index across Roadside Units(RSUs)and optimizing query *** approach takes advantage of the computational capabilities of edge servers or RSUs to perform indexing operations,thereby shifting the burden away from the vehicles *** algorithm strategically places data in the cache,optimizing cache hit rate and space utilization while reducing *** quantitative evaluation demonstrates the superiority of our proposed scheme,with significant reductions in latency(averaging 27%-49.25%),a 30.75%improvement in throughput,a 22.50%enhancement in cache hit rate,and a 32%-50.75%improvement in space utilization compared to baseline schemes.

A new technique in the formulation of numerical scheme for hyperbolicequation is developed. It is different from the classical FD and FE methods. We begin withthe algebraic equations with some undefined parameters, and get the difference equationthrough Taylor-series expansion. When the parameters in the partial difference equationare defined, the equation is what the scheme will simulate. The numerical example ofthe viscous Burgers equation shows the validity of the scheme. This method deals withthe numerical viscosity and dispersion exactly, giving a preliminary explanation to someproblems that the CFD face now.

Characterization of the Microstructure Changes of Polypropylene Induced by Pan-milling

The microstructure changes of polypropylene induced by a complex combination of shearing, friction, compression and stretching actions during pan-milling were revealed by spectroscopic techniques. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the structure of polypropylene transferred from crystal into amorphous after undergoing enough milling operation. No transformation between crystal forms was observed. The study of the high-frequency region of the Raman spectrum between 2800 and 3100cm-1 of polypropylene indicated that molecular motion and chain deformation of PP led to amorphization and deterioration of packing regularity during pan-milling. By co-panmilling PP with bis-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl) sebacate under ambient condition, ESR signals of free radicals formed by mechanochemical scission of main chain were observed, and an increase of ESR intensity with milling was detected.

RNA-interference (RNAi) silences gene expression by'guiding mRNA degradation in asequence-specific *** interfering RNA (siRNA),an intermediate of the RNAi pathway,has beenshown to be very effective in inhibiting virus infection in mammalian cells and cultured plant ***,wereport that Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transient expression of short hairpin RNA (shRNA) couldinhibit tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) RNA accumulation by targeting the gene encoding the replication-asso-ciated 126 kDa protein in intact plant *** results indicate that transiently expressed shRNA efficientlyinterfered with TMV *** interference observed is sequence-specific,and time-and *** expressed shRNA corresponding to the TMV 126 kDa protein gene did not inhibit cucumbermosaic virus (CMV),an unrelated *** order to interfere with TMV accumulation in tobaccoleaves,it is essential for the shRNA constructs to be infiltrated into the same leaves as TMV *** support the view that RNAi opens the door for novel therapeutic procedures against virus *** propose that a combination of the RNAi technique and Agrobacterium-mediated transient expressioncould be employed as a potent antiviral treatment in plants.

Water in peridotite xenoliths from South China

The water contents of nominally anhydrous clinopyroxene （cpx）, orthopyroxene （opx） and olivine （ol） in peridotite xenoliths hosted by Cenozoic basalts from Yingfengling, Zhangchouchun, Fujitian and Lindi, South China, were measured by Micro- FTIR. All cpx and opx grains contained a certain amount of water, which was indicated by the presence of hydroxyls in the crystal structure. The water contents （H20, ppm） of cpx and opx from peridotite xenoliths of the study areas were 293-981, 183-752, 73-586 and 51-423 ppm, and 82-471, 74-571, 53-170 and 9-135 ppm, respectively. No prominent OH absorption bands were detected for any ol grains, indicating that the water contents were below the detection limit （approximately 2 ppm）. The entire rock contents recalculated according to mineral volume proportions were 49-163, 48-168, 21-111 and 8-40 ppm, respectively. Combined with previously reported data describing the water contents of peridotite xenoliths worldwide, the results presented here suggest that water distribution in the continental lithospheric mantle is spatially heterogeneous at a global scale. The lithospheric mantle of South China is much richer in water than that of the North China Craton, and is close to that typical of off-craton localities, such as the Basin and Range Province, and Massif Central.

Propagation characteristics of converted refracted wave and its application in static correction of converted wave

Three-component seismic exploration through P-wave source and three-component geophone is an effective technique used in complicated reservoir exploration. In three-component seismic exploration data processing,one of the difficulties is static correction of converted wave. This paper analyzes propagation characteristics of non-converted and converted refracted waves,and discovers a favor-able condition for the formation of converted refracted wave,i.e. the velocity of overlaying medium S wave is much lower than that of underlying medium S wave. In addition,the paper proposes the static correction method of converted wave based on PPS converted refracted wave,and processes the real three-component seismic data with better results of static correction of converted wave.

During vegetative development,higher plants continuously form new leaves in regular spatial and temporal *** with abnormal leaf developmental patterns not only provide a great insight into understanding the regulatorymechanism of plant architecture,but also enrich the ways to its modification by which crop yield could be ***,we reported the characterization of the rice leafy-head2 (lhd2) mutant that exhibits shortened plastochron,dwarfism,reduced tiller number,and failure of phase transition from vegetative to reproductive *** and histologicalstudy revealed that the rapid emergence of leaves in lhd2 was resulted from the rapid initiation ofleafprimordia whereasthe reduced tiller number was a consequence of the suppression of the tiller bud *** molecular and geneticanalysis showed that LHD2 encodes a putative RNA binding protein with 67% similarity to maize *** ofgenome-scale expression profiles between wild-type and lhd2 plants suggested that LHD2 may regulate rice shoot devel-opment through KNOXand hormone-related *** similar phenotypes caused by LHD2 mutation and the conservedexpression pattern of LHD2 indicated a conserved mechanism in controlling the temporal leaf initiation in grass.

Inhibitory effect of leflunomide on hepatic fibrosis induced by CCl4 in rats

AIM: To study the effect of leflunomide on CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis in rats. METHODS: Hepatic fibrosis was induced by subcutaneous injection with 50 % CCl4 in Sprague-Dawley rats. The amount of CCl4 administered was 1 mg/kg. The alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), nitric oxide (NO) levels in plasma and hydroxyproline (Hyp) contents in liver tissue were assayed by spectrophotometry. The hyaluronic acid (HA) and procollagen III (PC III) were assessed by radioimmunoassay. The transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) in serum was determined by ELISA. The nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) in liver tissue was examined by immunohistochemistry. Liver samples collected after 12 weeks of CCl4 treatment were stained with hematoxy- lin and eosin. RESULTS: Leflunomide (1, 3, and 9 mg/kg) significantly decreased indices of liver and spleen, the serum transaminase (AST, ALT) activities, HA and PC III levels, and Hyp contents in liver tissue in rats of hepatic fibrosis. Histopathological examination showed leflunomide had inhibitory effect on fibrogenesis and formation of pseudolobulus. Furthermore, leflunomide significantly inhibited NF-κB expression in liver tissue, and reduced elevated serum TGF-β1 and NO levels in rats of hepatic fibrosis. CONCLUSION: Leflunomide showed inhibitory action on hepatic fibrosis induced by CCl4 in rats.

Calcium, an ubiquitous second messenger, plays an essential and versatile role in cellular signaling. The diverse function of calcium signals is achieved by an excess of calcium sensors. plants possess large numbers of calcium sensors, most of which have not been functionally characterized. To identify physiologically relevant calcium sensors in a specific cell type, we conducted a genome-wide functional survey in pollen tubes, for which spatiotemporal calcium signals are well-characterized and required for polarized tip growth. *** members of calrnodulin （CAM）, CaM-like （CML）, calcium-dependent protein kinase （CDPK） and calcineurin B-like protein （CBL） families were tagged with green fluorescence protein （GFP） and their localization patterns and overexpression phenotypes were characterized in tobacco pollen tubes. We found that several fusion proteins showed distinct overexpression phenotypes and subcellular localization patterns. CDPK24-GFP was localized to the vegetative nucleus and the generative cell/sperms. CDPK32-GFP caused severe growth depolarization. CBL2-GFP and CBL3-GFP exhibited dynamic patterns of subcellular localization, including several endomembrane compartments, the apical plasma membrane （PM）, and cytoskeleton-like structures in pollen tubes. Their overexpression also inhibited pollen tube elongation and induced growth depolarization. These putative calcium sensors are excellent candidates for the calcium sensors responsible for the regulation of calcium homeostasis and calciumdependent tip growth and growth oscillation in pollen tubes.

A threshold proxy quantum signature scheme with threshold shared verification is proposed. An original signer could authorize a group as its proxy signers. Then only t or more of n persons in the proxy group can generate the proxy signature on behalf of the original signer and any t-1 or fewer ones cannot do that. When the proxy signature needs to be verified,any t or more of n persons belonging to the verification group can verify the message and any t-1 or fewer ones cannot verify the validity of the proxy signature.
