Aim:The interactions of selectins and their ligands initiate the process of leuko-cyte migrating into inflamed tissue.p-selectin glycoprotein ligand 1 （pSGL-1） isthe best characterized ligand of selectins,and has been demonstrated to mediatethe adhesion of leukocytes to all three selectins in ***-1 not only func-tions as an anchor molecule to capture the leukocytes to the activated endothelialcells by its interaction with selectins,but also transduces the signals to *** present work aimed to investigate the mechanism by whichpSGL-1-mediated signal activates neutrophils and enhances the adhesion to theendothelial ***:We detected the effects of the engagement of pSGL-1with monoclonal antibodies （mAb） or p-selectin on the adhesion of neutrophils tothe recombinant intercellular adhesion molecule-1 （ICAM-1）,and on the expres-sion of β***,the role of cytoskeleton in these process wasstudied by using inhibitor cytochalasin ***:The engagement of pSGL-Iincreased the expression of β2-integrin on the surface of neutrophils and en-hanced the adhesion of neutrophils to the recombinant *** againstCD18 impaired the adhesion of pSGL-1-engaged neutrophils to ***,the inhibitor cytochalasin B largely blocked the increase of CD 18 expression aswell as the adhesion of pSGL-1-engaged neutrophils to ***:The pSGL-1-transduced signals can enhance β2-integrin-involved adhesion ofneutrophils to the recombinant ICAM-1,and this process depends on the dynam-ics of cytoskeleton.

Traditional secret sharing (SS) schemes can reconstruct the secret precisely,but have high com-putation *** secret sharing (VSS) schemes use human visual system to reconstruct the secret without cryptographic computation,but have pixel expansion and loss of *** et *** a (2,n)-SS scheme for binary images based on Boolean operation,which has low computation complexity,no pixel expansion and the contrast is 1/*** this paper,we first construct an r runs (2,n)-SS scheme to improve the contrast of Wang et al.'s binary (2,n)-SS *** we present two approaches to construct r runs (2,n)-SS schemes for grayscale image and color *** two approaches are both based on Boolean operation,while one approach uses halftone technology and the other uses bit level *** proposed schemes have low computation complexity and almost ideal contrast.

Modeling land use/cover scenario changes and its potential impacts on structure and functions of ecosystem in typical regions are helpful to understanding the interactive mechanism between land use/cover system and ecosystem. Based on the analysis of the existing land use/cover simulation and forecast models, a land use/cover scenario dynamics model by the integration of System Dynamics (SD) model, Back propagation Neural Network (BpNN) and Cellular Automata (CA) model is developed with land use/cover scenario changes in northern china in the next 30 years and simulated in this paper. The model is to simulate the land use/cover scenario demands by using a SD model at first, and then allocating the land use scenario patterns at the local scale with the considerations of land use/cover suitability, inheritance ability and neighborhood effect by using BpNN-CA model to satisfy the balance between land use/cover scenario demands and supplies. It integrates the advantages of SD, BpNN and CA. Macro-driving factors and the micro-spatial pattern are also fully taken into account. The BpNN simplifies the identification of the factors’ weights used in CA model and improves the reliability of the simulation results. The simulation accuracy of the model developed in this paper was found to be about 74.. It suggests that the model has the ability to reflect the complexity of land use/cover system at different scales to some extent and it is a useful tool for assessing the potential impacts of land use system on ecosystem. The simulated results also indicate that the urban land, water area and forest will increase significantly, and farmland and unable land will decrease gradually. Obvious land use/cover changes will take place in the farming-pastoral zone and the southeast area of northern china.

While it has been well demonstrated that quantum dots (QDs) play an important role inbiological labeling both in vitro and in vivo,there is no report describing the cellular nanostructure basis ofreceptor-mediated ***,nanostructure evolution responses to the endocytosis of transferrin(Tf)-conjugated QDs were characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM).AFM-based nanostructureanalysis demonstrated that the Tf-conjugated QDs were specifically and tightly bound to the cell receptorsand the nanostructure evolution is highly correlated with the cell membrane receptor-mediated ***,confocal microscopic and flow cytometry results have demonstrated the specificity anddynamic property of Tf-QD binding and *** found that the internalization of Tf-QD is linearlyrelated to ***,while the nanoparticles on the cell membrane increased,the endocytosis was stillvery active,suggesting that QD nanoparticles did not interfere sterically with the binding and function ***,ligand-conjugated QDs are potentially useful in biological labeling of cells at a nanometerscale.

The study of symmetric property in the L^2-sense for the non-positive definite operator is motivated by the theory of probability and analysis. This paper presents some sufficient conditions for the existence of symmetric measure for Lévy type operator. Some new examples are illustrated. The present study is an important step for considering various ergodic properties and functional inequalities of Lévy type operator.

recently, Shi Xianliang and Hu Lan published the method of concentration factors for determination of jumps of functions via MCM conjugate wavelets. Usually, it is difficult to calculate the Hilbert transform of general window functions. The aim of this paper is to discuss determination of jumps for functions based on derivative Gabor series. The results will simplify the calculation of jump values.

In this paper, a new ergodic property analysis model of hydrological process is proposed based on fuzzy-rough c-means clustering (FrCM), autocorrelogram, and fuzzy least absolute regression (FLAr). A precipitation time series (1951―2004. from Shanghai Hydrology Station is then analyzed with the model. The results show that the precipitation time series of April, May, June, and September has er-godic property. We conclude that in the long run, the precipitation of April, May, June, and September will not keep decreasing; it will converge to its mean value in some period.

The double loop network(DLN)is a circulant digraph with n nodes and outdegree *** is an important topological structure of computer interconnection networks and has been widely used in the designing of local area networks and distributed *** the number n of nodes,how to construct a DLN which has minimum diameter?This problem has attracted great attention.A related and longtime unsolved problem is:for any given non-negative integer k,is there an infinite family of k-tight optimal DLN?In this paper,two main results are obtained:(1)for any k≥0,the infinite families of k-tight optimal DLN can be constructed,where the number n(k,e,c)of their nodes is a polynomial of degree 2 in e with integral coefficients containing a parameter c.(2)for any k≥0, an infinite family of singular k-tight optimal DLN can be constructed.
