Thirty samples of total suspended particles were collected at a site in western part of Lhasa,Tibet from August 2.06 to July *** 10Be concentrations were determined by Accelerator Mass Spectrometer (AMS).Analysis of correlation between 10Be concentrations and meteorological factors revealed that the wet scavenging has little effect on 10Be.10Be can be used as a proxy of transport processes of the upper atmosphere over the Tibetan *** of correlation between 10Be concentrations and NCEP reanalysis data demonstrated that higher 10Be concentrations in spring were probably caused by the atmosphere exchange from stratosphere to troposphere during February to *** 10Be concentrations during August to September were consistent with the synchronous lower O3.values,suggestive of both 10Be and O3.were probably influenced by the atmosphere exchange from troposphere to stratosphere.

Rapakivi granites and several small leucogabbroic and gabbroic bodies are located in the Rangnim Massif,North *** largest batholith in the Myohyang Mountains covers an area of 3.0 km and was intruded into Precambrian metamorphosed *** has a shrimp U-Pb zircon weighted mean Pb/Pb age of 1861±7 *** country rocks of rapakivi granites are Neoarchaean orthogneisses and Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic graphite-bearing metasedimentary rocks of granulite facies,and they are similar to those of the rapakivi granites and anorthosites exposed in South Korea and in the North{2. *** conclude that the three massifs in the Korean Peninsula commonly record an identical Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic anorogenic magmatic event,indicating that they have a common Precambrian basement with the North{2. Based on the technology of balanced cross-section and physical simulation experiments associated with natural gas geochemical characteristic analyses, core and thin section observations, it has been proven that the Puguang gas reservoir has experienced two periods of diagenesis and restructuring since the Late Indo-chinese epoch. One is the fluid transfer controlled by the tectonic movement and the other is geochemical reconstruction controlled by thermochemical sulfate reduction (TSR). The middle Yanshan epoch was the main period that the Puguang gas reservoir experienced the geochemical reaction of TSR. TSR can recreate the fluid in the gas reservoir, which makes the gas drying index higher and carbon isotope heavier because C2. (ethane and heavy hydrocarbon) and {2. (carbon {2.isotope) is first consumed relative to CH4 and 13. (carbon 13.isotope). However, the reciprocity between fluid regarding TSR (hydrocarbon, sulfureted hydrogen (H2.) , and water) and reservoir rock results in reservoir rock erosion and anhydrite alteration, which increases porosity in reservoir, thereby improving the petrophysical properties. Superimposed by later tectonic movement, the fluid in Puguang reservoir has twice experienced adjustment, one in the late Yanshan epoch to the early Himalayan epoch and the other time in late Himalayan epoch, after which Puguang gas reservoir is finally developed.

The age of mineralization in a mining area is a primary factor in various researches related to ore\|forming process. It is that the uncertainty of mineralization ages of gold ore deposits in northern zone of eastern Kunlun Mountains, Qinghai Province, restrains to probe the relationship of the deposits to the regional tectonic evolution. This paper documents the fission track method used to determine the ages of gold ore deposits in eastern Kunlun Mountains and considers the implication for the origin of the *** Kunlun Mountains is the northern part of the Qinghai—Tibet Plateau and is of three deep\|seated fault belts in about EW extension. This work mainly includes three gold ore districts. All of them, in the north of Mid\|Kunlun fault belt, belong to northern part of eastern Kunlun Mountains. The Yanjingou district, with geographical coordinate 96°00’E and 3.°10’N, is located 60 km north of Hongqigou district . Both of them are large, typical tectonoalteration gold deposits and were formed in similar geological setting. Hongshuihe ore district is located 50 km east of Yanjingou district and includes tectonoalteration and magmatic cryptoexplosive gold deposits. Outcroped strata are dominantly Jinshuikou Group metamorphic rocks of Lower Proterozoic erathem. The occurrence area of igneous rocks, especially granitoid, accounts for about 90% in first two districts and become less in Hongshuihe district. The gold deposits occur in NW\|striking fault belts. The Rb\|Sr isochron age and K\|Ar isotopic age of Moyite relevant to the gold mineralization are respectively 2.8 2.Ma and 2.7 1Ma. Rb\|Sr dating of diorite porphyrite is 2.9 09Ma. Sericite selected from Yanjingou orebody has 2.2.9Ma K\|Ar age. The ore in Hongqigou district has 197Ma K\|Ar age and 2.0Ma model age of Pb isotope of galena.

The Pb isotopes and trace element compositions of the silicate fraction of airborne dust from the chinese Loess Plateau were analyzed to infer provenance change during the past 8 *** results indicate that the composition of eolian dust changed at 2.6 Ma,coincident with initiation of the Northern Hemisphere ice *** change in trace element composition at 2.6 Ma indicates that a larger component of the eolian dust was derived from felsic rocks after this *** isotopic evidence demonstrates that the source material of Tertiary Red Clay differs to some extent from that of Quaternary eolian *** chemical weathering may result in compositional changes in eolian deposits,such a scenario is not supported by the present *** that glacial grinding and frost-weathering processes have been active in the peaks of high mountains during the Quaternary,eolian dust of this age contains a large proportion of material derived from areas of high topographic relief and relatively little material from low-lying cratonic *** alpine processes played an important role in controlling the distinct changes in Pb isotopes and trance element concentrations recorded at around 2.6 Ma.

The Ordos Basin,the second largest sedimentary basin in china,contains the broad distribution of natural gas *** far,several giant gas fields have been discovered in the Upper and Lower Paleozoic in this basin,each having over 1000×10 8 m 3.of proven gas reserves,and several gas pools have also been discovered in the *** paper collected the data of natural gases and elucidated the geochemical characteristics of gases from different reservoirs,and then discussed their *** hydrocarbons preserved in the Upper Paleozoic,the elevatedδ13. values of methane,ethane and propane indicate that the gases would be mainly coal-formed gases;the singular reversal in the stable carbon isotopes of gaseous alkanes suggests the mixed gases from humic sources with different *** the Lower Paleozoic,theδ13. 1 values are mostly similar with those in the Upper Paleozoic,but theδ13. 2.andδ13. 3.values are slightly lighter,suggesting that the gases would be mixing of coal-type gases as a main member and oil-type *** are multiple reversals in carbon isotopes for gaseous alkanes,especially abnormal reversal for methane and ethane(i.e.δ13. 1 >δ13. 2.),inferring that gases would be mixed between high-mature coal-formed gases and oil-type *** the Mesozoic,the δ13.values for gaseous alkanes are enriched in {3.,indicating that the gases are mainly derived from sapropelic sources;the carbon isotopic reversal for propane and butane in the Mesozoic is caused by microbial oxidation and mixing of gases from sapropelic sources with different *** contrast to the Upper Paleozoic gases,the Mesozoic gases are characterized by heavier carbon isotopes of iso-butane than normal butane,which may be caused by gases generated from different kerogen types. The Xushen gas field,located in the north of Songliao Basin,is a potential giant gas area for china in the *** proved reserves have exceeded 1000×10 8 m 3.by the end of ***,the origin of natural gases from the deep strata is still in *** rocks as a potential gas source are widely spreading in the northern basement of Songliao *** to pyrolysis experiments for these rocks in the semi-confined system,gas production and geochemistry of alkane gases are discussed in this *** Carboniferous-Permian epimetamorphic rocks were heated from 3.0℃to 550℃,with temperature interval of 50℃.The gas production was quantified and measured for chemical and carbon isotopic *** show thatδ13. 1 is less than?2.‰,carbon isotope trend of alkane gas isδ13. 1 3. 2.3. 3.orδ13. 1 3. 2.>δ13. 3.,these features suggest that the gas would be coal-type gas at high-over maturity,not be inorganic gas with reversal trend of gaseous alkanes (δ13. 1 >δ13. 2.>δ13. 3.).These characteristics of carbon isotopes are similar with the natural gas from the basin basement,but disagree with gas from the Xingcheng ***,the mixing gases from the pyrolysis gas with coal-typed gases at high-over maturity or oil-typed gases do not cause the reversal trend of carbon *** gas generation intensity for epimetamorphic rocks is 3.0×10 8 ―2.1}8×10 8 m 3./km 2.,corresponding to Ro from 2.0%to 3.5%for organic matter.

The Xilin Gol Complex,consisting of deformed and metamorphosed rocks,was exposed as a large geological unit within the Central Asian Orogenic Belt,but its forming and subsequent deformed and metamorphic time has been an issue of little *** analyses and shrimp dating on biotite-plagioclase gneiss,one of the major rocks within the Xilin Gol Complex,in southeast Xilinhot City,Inner Mongolia,china,where the Xilin Gol Complex was identified and named,yield its lower limit age of 4{2.±{2.Ma(2.)by its magmatic zircon shrimp U-Pb dating,and an upper limit age of {2.6±{2.a(2.),which was constrained by shrimp dating of magmatic zircons from adjacent undeformed garnet-bearing granite which intruded the Complex. The Complex was thus determined to be formed and subsequently deformed/metamorphosed from the late Ordovician -early Silurian to the ***,it is not the Precambrian terrane as previously considered by most *** or less,the major rock——biotiteplagioclase gneiss within the Complex is more likely to be Paleozoic fore-arc turbidite formation before metamorphism and intensive deformation,in which the detrital zircons gave sporadic Precambrian ages as old as up to {2.1 *** source of the turbidite formation is multiple,which may be derived either from the North china Craton,or from the South-Mongolia Micro-continent,or probably came from a potential and undiscovered in situ terranes aged 600—800 Ma or even up to ca {2.1 Ga near the Complex.

The fluctuation of lake levels in Tibetan area may be well reflected by the landformevidences, especially the last highest lake levels. This, in a certain degree, is more suitable fordetermning the climatic humidity and aridity in macro scale compared with many other indicatorswhich are also sensitive to the sedimentary environmental change. According to the analyses of thelakes such as Tianshuihai Lake, Bangdag Co, Lungmu Co, Bangong Co, Serfing Co, Chabyer Caka,Qahan salt lake, Qinghai lake, the lake group in north-east Qiangtang and the lake group in southTibet. the authors thought that the lakes on the Tibetan Plateau generally appeared the high lakelevel during 40-2. ka BP. The plenty of water quantity may represent a special warm-humid stage inTibet area compared with the sub-warm-humid stage reflected by marine oxygen isotope ***, there may existed different driving factors to climatic changes between the high latitUde areasand middle-low latitude mountains.
