Geological condition and rainfall are two most principal conditions inducing landslides in the Chongqing region. By analyzing the forming conditions of rainfall-induced landslides, a new method for spatio-temporal prediction of rainfall-induced landslide is brought forward on the basis of grading and overlapping geological condition and rainfall factor in this paper. At first, semi-quantitative assessment and grading for the geological condition of a certain area or slope can be carried out with the multi-factor interactive matrix. Then the severity of rainfall in that area is grading according to the maximum daily rainfall and the total rainfall in a rainfall course. Finally, the “landslide probability judgement factor” can be worked out through grading and overlapping “geological condition influenc- ing factor” and “rainfall influencing factor”, by which the landslide can be graded into 4 grades, they are landslide extremely easily happening, landslide easily happening, landslide difficultly happening and landslide hardly ever happening respectively. More accurate spatio-temporal prediction of rain- fall-induced landslides can come true on the ground of detailed geological survey of some dangerous slopes in an area and more precise weather forecast. Finally, the reliability and feasibility of carrying out the spatio-temporal prediction of rainfall-induced landslides with the method of “two factors” grading and overlapping are validated by the example of Jipazi landslide.

This paper presented an entropy evaluation method for the influences of condense heat recovery system on the *** at the damage of the condense heat to the environment,an entropy of resource loss and an emission entropy from the condense heat recovery system in the air conditioning refrigerating machine were *** the evaluation of the entropies,we developed a new algorithm for the parameter identification,called the composite influence coefficient,based on the Least Squares Support Vector Machine *** simulation,the numerical experiments shows that the Least Squares Support Vector Machine method is one of the powerful methods for the parameter identification to compute the damage entropy of the condense heat,with the largest training error being-0.025(the relative error being-3.56%),and the biggest test error being 0.015(the relative error being 2.5%).

The possibility of the recovery of hydrochloric acid from rare earth （RE） chloride solutions was first experimentally studied by batch vacuum membrane distillation （VMD）. The recovery by continuous VMD was also studied to devise methods that enabled the operation of VMD setup in a stable condition as well as to increase the membrane-operating life The results indicated that HCl separation with RE by VMD was possible, and the recovery ratio of 80% could be achieved by batch VMD. In continuous VMD, when the temperature of circular solutions, circular rate, and downstream pressure was 62-63., 5.4 cm/s, and 9.3. kPa, respectively, the HCl concentration in circular solutions and the processing capacity per membrane area were obtained. The mathematical results were in accordance with the experimental ones.

A new anaerobic reactor, Jet-loop anaerobic fluidized bed （JLAFB）, was designed for treating high-sulfate wastewater. The treatment characteristics, including the effect of influent COD/SO42 ratio and alkalinity and sulfide inhibition in reactors, were discussed for a JLAFB and a general anaerobic fiuidized bed （AFB） reactor used as sulfate-reducing phase and methane-producing phase, respectively, in two-phase anaerobic digestion process. The formation of granules in the two reactors was also examined. The results indicated that COD and sulfate removal had different demand of influent COD/SO4^2- ratios. When total COD removal was up to 85%, the ratio was only required up to 1.2, whereas, total sulfate removal up to 95% required it exceeding 3.0. The alkalinity in the two reactors increased linearly with the growth of influent alkalinity. Moreover, the change of influent alkalinity had no significant effect on pH and volatile fatty acids （VFA） in the two reactors. Influent alkalinity kept at 400-500 mg/L could meet the requirement of the treating process. The JLAFB reactor had great advantage in avoiding sulfide and free-H2S accumulation and toxicity inhibition on microorganisms. When sulfate loading rate was up to 8. 1 kg/（m^3.d）, the sulfide and free-H2S concentrations in JLAFB reactor were 58.6 and 49.7 mg/L, respectively. Furthermore, the granules, with offwhite color, ellipse shape and diameters of 1.0-3.0 mm, could be developed in JLAFB reactor. In granules, different groups of bacteria were distributed in different layers, and some inorganic metal compounds such as Fe, Ca, Mg etc. were found.

The inorganic antimicrobial material was inhibited to the microbes with the added metal ion,*** primary wet product carrying 5%-10% zinc ion was generated under the following conditions：temperature was 95 ℃,solution zinc concentration was 1.2-2.0 mol/L,and the ratio of Zn solution to zeolite weight was 5：*** final stable product was manufactured after baking in an oven for 1-3.h at the temperature of 500-900 ℃.The baked material was tested for its disinfection effectiveness and coloring effect when mixed with paint *** on the final batch of tests,the zinc content of this anti-microbial product was further optimized.

The climate over the closed inland Barkol Lake,which is located in northeastern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,is significantly influenced by westerly winds *** improve our understanding of past climate processes in westerly wind influenced regions in northwestern china,a 250-cm sediment section was retrieved from this *** taking the carbon reservoir effect into consideration,the chronological sequence of this section was reconstructed based on seven conventional radiocarbon dates of bulk samples,and the bottom age of this section was determined to be about 9400 cal a ***-proxy datasets,includingδ18O car,δ13. car of authigenic carbonate,and total organic carbon were examined using wavelet analysis and singular spectrum analysis *** show that the Holocene in the Barkol Lake region can be divided into four stages:(1) a cold and dry early stage before～8000 cal a BP;(2) a moderately warm and wet middle stage between～8000 and 6000 cal a BP;(3. a warm and dry stage,along with a cooling-wetting tendency from 6000 to 2700 cal a BP;and(4) a fluctuating cooling and wet stage between 2700-800 cal a BP,and a drier stage since 800 cal a *** general trend of Holocene climatic changes revealed by Barkol Lake sediments was in agreement with that of adjacent *** infer that climatic changes during the Holocene in the Barkol Lake region were influenced not only by high latitudes,especially the North Atlantic region climate,but also tropical low-latitude processes,such as the El Nio/La Nia-southern *** study demonstrates that the enhanced activities of ENSO may have played an important role in climatic changes in northeastern Xinjiang during the *** results also suggest that climatic patterns may be temporally different in the northern Xinjiang area in response to the changing predominant control of either the Westerly or the Asian summer monsoon,depending on the contrast of their relative strengths.

This paper describes for the first time the cornute stylophorans (Echinodermata) in china. The new material came from the Guole Formation of the Furongian (Late Cambrian) in the Guole area of Jingxi, Guangxi Province, south china. These new cornute specimens are preserved in situ and found along with well-preserved trilobites and brachiopods. One new species, Phyllocystis jingxiensis sp. nov., is proposed to accommodate these unusual materials. The new species is defined by the small, heart-shaped theca with the frame composed of ten narrow, smooth and thick marginal plates, three adoral plates and distinctive zygal and aulacophore. Both supra{3.s and infra{3.s are polygonal-outlined. The marginal plate M1' on the inferior face extends posteriorly to form zygal that possesses a broadened proximal end and the proximal portion joining with the conjunction between M4 and M5 on the inferior face. Aulacophore comprises ten segments at its proximal part and is conical at the middle part (named stylocone). Its distal portion is rather long and bears conspicuous ambulacrum grooves. Tectals are horizontally arranged on superior face and obliquely arranged on inferior face. Both cothurnopore and anal pyramid are vaguely seen on the right anterior corner and the extremity of theca's superior face.

Strategic environmental Assessment is a frontier subject in the field of environmental Impact Assessment. In the past two decades, especially in recent years, much more importance has been attached to Strategic environmental Assessment. The environmental Impact Assessment Law of the P.R. china which was promulgated provides a great opportunity for the development of Planning environmental Impact Assessment and brings great challenges for the development of traditional Project environmental Impact Assessment and Planning environmental Impact Assessment at the same time. In order to promote the implementation of "The EIA Law", the inherent limitations of Project environmental Impact Assessment must be identified sufficiently and the theory research and practice of Planning environmental Impact Assessment should be strengthened as well. Measures should be taken currently to enforce the operation system. The authors wish to offer a few references to the progress and implementation of Planning environmental Impact Assessment in china.
