In this paper we seek the solutions of the time dependent Ginzburg-Landau model for type-Ⅱ superconductors such that the associated physical observables are spatially periodic with respect to some lattice whose basic lattice cell is not necessarily rectangular. After appropriately foring the gange, the model can be formulated as a system of nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations with quasi-periodic boundary conditions. We first give some results concerning the existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions and then we propose a semiimplicit finite element scheme solving the system of nonlinear partial dmerential equations and show the optimal error estimates both in the L2 and energy *** also report on some numerical results at the end of the paper.

Like Euclid, Riemann and Lobachevski geometries are on an almost equal footing, based on the principle of relativity of maximum symmetry proposed by Professor Lu Qikeng and the postulate on invariant universal constants c and R, the de Sitter/anti-de Sitter (dS/AdS) special relativity on dS/AdS-space with radius R can be set up on an almost equal footing with Einstein’s special relativity on the Minkowski-space in the case of R→∞.Thus the dS-space is coin-like: a law of inertia in Beltrami atlas with Beltrami time simultaneity for the principle of relativity on one side, and the proper-time simultaneity and a Robertson-Walker-like dS-space with entropy and an accelerated expanding S 3.fitting the cosmological principle on another side.If our universe is asymptotic to the Robertson-Walker-like dS-space of R ? (3.Λ)1/2, it should be slightly closed in O(Λ) with entropy bound S ? 3.c 3.k B /ΛG?. Contrarily, via its asymptotic behavior, it can fix on Beltrami inertial frames without ‘an argument in a circle’ and acts as the origin of inertia.There is a triality of conformal extensions of three kinds of special relativity and their null physics on the projective boundary of a 5-d AdS-space, a null cone modulo projective equivalence [ $ \mathcal{N} $ ] ? ? P (AdS 5). Thus there should be a dS-space on the boundary of S 5 × AdS 5 as a vacuum of supergravity.In the light of Einstein’s ‘Galilean regions’, gravity should be based on the localized principle of relativity of full maximum symmetry with a gauge-like dynamics. Thus, this may lead to the theory of gravity of corresponding local symmetry. A simple model of dS-gravity characterized by a dimensionless constant g ?(ΛG?/3. 3.1/2 ～ 10?61 shows the features on umbilical manifolds of local dS-invariance. Axial magnetic field produced by an axial magnetized permanent ring was studied. For two permanent rings, if they are magnetized in the same directions, a nearly uniform axial field can be produced. If they are magnetized in opposite direction, an axial gradient magnetic field can be generated, with the field range changing from-Bo to Bo- A permanent magnet with a high axial gradient field was fabricated, the measured results agree with the PANDIRA calculation very well. For wider usage, it is desirable for the field gradient to be changed. Some methods to produce the variable gradient field are presented. These kinds of axial gradient magnetic field can also be used as a beam focusing for linear accelerator if the periodic field can be produced along the beam trajectory. The axial magnetic field is something like a solenoid, large stray field will leak to the outside environment if no method is taken to control them. In this paper, one method is illustrated to shield off the outside leakage field.

Numerical simulation of gas-solid flow behaviors in a rectangular fluidized bed is carried out three dimensionally by the discrete element method (DEM).Euler method and Lagrange method are employed to deal with the gas phase and solid phase *** collided force among particles,striking force between particle and wall,drag force,gravity,Magnus lift force and Saffman lift force are considered when establishing the mathematic ***-sphere model is used to describe the collision of *** addition,the Euler method is also used for modeling the solid phase to compare with the results of *** flow patterns,particle mean velocities,particles' diffusion and pressure drop of the bed under typical operating conditions are *** results show that the DEM method can describe the detailed information among particles,while the Euler-Euler method cannot capture the micro-scale *** matter which method is used,the diffusion of particles increases with the increase of gas *** the gathering and crushing of particles cannot be simulated,so the energy loss of particles' collision cannot be calculated and the diffusion by using the Euler-Euler method is *** addition,it is shown by DEM method,with strengthening of the carrying capacity,more and more particles can be schlepped upward and the dense suspension upflow pattern can be ***,the results given by the Euler-Euler method are not consistent with the real situation.

Using five well-replicated Qilian juniper (Sabina przewalskii Kom.) tree-ring width index se- ries, monthly normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) of grassland, and climatic data from 1982 to 2001, the relationships between tree-ring width index, NDVI of grassland, and climatic data were analyzed firstly. Then, the relationship between tree-ring width index and NDVI of grassland was explored. The re- sults showed that: (1) Temperature and precipitation in June influenced tree-ring width index and NDVI of grassland deeply in Delingha. (2) There were sig- nificant relationships between five tree-ring width index series (DLH1-DLH5) and monthly NDVI of grassland from June to September, with the most significant relationship being between tree-ring width index series and NDVI of grassland in August. (3. The PC1 (the first principal component derived from DLH1-DLH5 series) exhibited good agreement with monthly NDVI of grassland in the grass growth sea- son (from June to September) and the averaged NDVI in the growth season, which was attributed to their common responses to water-supply limit in Delingha. This study may allow an increase in studying the past dynamics of grassland in Delingha in that the variation of grassland NDVI during the last millennium has been reconstructed from PC1.

Enthalpy recovery is not only an important characteristic of physical aging of glass,but also a good tool to investigate the physical aging. Using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC),the enthalpy recovery of Zr46.75Ti8.25Cu7.5Ni10Be27.5 bulk metallic glass (BMG) was studied. The typical characteristics of enthalpy recovery of glass including the sub-Tg peak and ‘overshot’ were found in BMG. The evolution of the sub-Tg peak and ‘overshot’ were described by the free volume theory and Hodge’s model,respectively. It was found that the former failed to describe the enthalpy recovery in the BMG,while the latter could give a qualitative explanation. In com-bination with the dynamics in the BMG,the origin of the enthalpy recovery in the BMG was discussed. The results show that BMGs are an ideal material to investi-gate the physical aging. The further understanding of physical aging of BMGs is useful to clarify the nature of glass and improve the application and device of new types of BMGs.

An investigation was carried out by numerical simulation on a wind turbine airfoil and a blunt trailing-edge airfoil with and without vortex generators (VGs), and the performance of the airfoils was analyzed. By the simulation of airfoil DU 91-W2-250 it was verified that the numerical method and model were credible. Based on this airfoil, a new one with a blunt trailing edge of 6% chord was blended by symmetrically adding thickness, and its characteristics curves were obtained through computing at key angles of attack. Additionally, the pressure distribution on blended airfoil was analyzed by comparing to the airfoil without blend. The interaction of streamwise vortices induced by VGs with trailing vortex or separation vortex was considered, followed by the uncovery of how VGs can suppress the boundary layer separation.

The SHRIMP zircon U-Pb geochronology of three typical samples, including two monzo nitic granites from the Lincang batholith and a rhyolite from the Manghuai Formation are presented in the southern Lancangjiang, western Yunnan Province. The analyses of zircons for the biotite monzonitic granites from the northern (02DX-13.) and southern (20JH-10) Lincang batholith show the single and tight clusters on the concordia, and yield the weighted mean 206Pb/23.U ages of 229.4 ± 3.0 Ma and 23..4 ± 3.6 Ma, respectively, representing the crystallized ages of these granites. The zircons for the rhyolitic sample (02DX-95) from the Manghuai Formation give a weighted mean 206Pb/23.U age of 23..0 ± 5.0 Ma. These data suggest that the igneous rocks from the Lincang granitic batholith and Manghuai Formation have a similar crystallized age. In combination with other data, it is inferred that both were generated at a narrow age span (~23. Ma) and were originated from the postcollisional tectonic regime. An early Proterozoic 206Pb/23.U apparent age of 1977±44 Ma is additionally obtained from one zircon from the biotite monzonitic granite (southern Lincang batholith), indicative of devel- opment of the early Proterozoic Yangtze basement in the region. These precisely geochronological data provide important constraints on better understanding the Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the Tethys, western Yunnan Province.
