The coccoid fossils covered with thick gelatinous envelop containing several gametes are discovered in gyps and salt deposits of Cambrian, H4 well and chert bed of the base of Yuertus Formation (∈11) of Xiaoerbulake Section. The fossils are described and compared with coccoid dinoflagellates. These fossils may be a coccoid life-cycle stage (vegetative cyst) of coccoid dinoflagellates. If this identification is correct, the coccoid dinoflagellates-like fossils could give a reasonable explanation of the dinoflagellate-specific biomarkers from Cambrian, H4 well, Tarim Basin.

MoS2/γ－Al2O3.ceramic composite membrane is successfully synthesized by the sol-gel method based on the inorganic salt route. The aluminum hydrate sol derived from the inorganic salt Al(NO3.3. whose transparence and viscosity are 97% and 1.2 × 10-3.Pa. s, respectively, can be formed through adjusting the ratio of the peptizing agent H+ to Al3. to 0.3. The aluminum hydrate gel at 110℃ is amorphous in structure and is heat-treated in air at 800℃ to form γ－Al2O3. The precursor derived from the mixture solution of ammonium molybdate, thioacetamide and a reducing agent, can be transformed into crystal MoS2 under reducing condition at 800℃. MoS2/γ－Al2O3.composite membrane is an organic whole and bps no gradation from MoS2 layer to γ－Al2O3.Iayer. The separation factor a H2/H2S through the MoS2/γ－Al2O3.composite membrane increase with rising temperature and a H2/H2S at 600℃ is 4.45 higher than the theoretical separation factor produced by the ideal Knudsen diffusion.

A new method for corrosion protection of Al-based metal matrix composites (MMC) was developed using two-step process, which involves anodizing in H2SO4 solution and sealing in rare earth solution. Corrosion resistance of the treated surface was evaluated with polarization curves. The results showed that the effect of the protection using rare earth sealing is equivalent to that using chromate sealing for Al6061/SiCp. The rare earth metal salt can be an alternative to the toxic chromate for sealing anodized Al MMC.

Thermal decomposition of[R4N][FeCo3./sub>（CO）12][I]（R=ethyl,butyl,hexadecyl,benzyltrimethyl,benzyltriethyl）in n-heptane,toluene and methanol was investigated bythe in situ high pressure IR spectroscopic *** results show that underhydroformylation conditions all clusters decompose to Co2（CO）8,Fe（CO）5 and the salt ofCo（CO）4-,and Co2（CO）8 reacts with H2 to form HCo（CO）4.Thermal stability of theclusters decrease with the increase of polarity of *** the hydroformylation con-ditions,IR spectra of the clusters are compatible with those of Fe（CO）5+Co2（CO）8+[R4N]Cl *** of the stabilizing effect or tetra-alkylammonium cation,when the tem-perature drops below 50℃ after decomposition of the clusters,the characteristic absorptionbands of the clusters appear again,so the decomposition process is reversible.

Ribulose-l,5-bisphosphate carboxylase small subunit gene (rbcS) is present with multi-gene family in plant genome. In Glycine max, the rbcS polypeptide (EC4.***.1.3.) is encoded by a gene family containing 4-8 members. Three full-length rbcS cDNA clones were isolated and characterized from soybean seedlings, and both of their nucleotide and amino acid sequences showed high similarity. Differential accumulation of the rbcS mRNA was observed among roots, hypocotyls, cotyledons, epicotyls and leaves. The rbcS genes were up-regulated by various external factors such as salicylic acid (SA), salt stress and drought stress. The expression level of rbcS genes after being treated by 2.0 mmol/L SA and0.4% NaCl, respectively, is 2.5-3.0-fold as high as that of control sample. Moreover, soybean rbcS mRNA was accu-mulated with diurnal variation but easily influenced by light and low temperature.

A coordinative disposal process for treatment of electroplating sludge and stainless steel pickle waste liquid containing Cu, Ni, Zn, Cr and Fe etc., has been developed to recover valuable metals and to eliminate pollution. The recovery of Cu, Ni, Zn and Cr is 94%, 91%, 90% and 95%, respectively. The ammonia was recycled by the simplified process of CaO caustic distillation. The precipitated product of Cu, Ni and Zn obtained from caustic distillation of ammonia was separated by extraction or high\|pressure hydrogen reduction in an autoclave. The qualified metal salt products were obtained through extraction. The rich chromium residue from coordinative disposal was subjected to recover Cr by hydrothermal oxidation in NaOH medium and Fe\-3.\-4 was synthesized by wet methods from the residue produced by extracting Cr. Cr was a stable chemical fixed in Fe\-3.\-4 and harmless. The recovery process has been used in a pilot plant with sludge production capacity of 2000 t/a.
