For a two-particle (spin 1/2. system, three fundamental forms of complete sets of commuting observables (CSCO) composed of two-body operatorsσ 1α σ 2. are given. The corresponding simultaneous eigenstates constitute three types of maximally entangled states, one of which is the well known Bell basis. This paper discusses the possible pairs of spin observables whose simultaneous measurement outcomes are definitely correlated in probabilistic fashion.

Magnetic properties of a two sublattice ferrimagnet with antiferromagnetic exchange interaction inside one of the sublattices are calculated within the framework of the molecular field theory taking into account the anisotropy of unstable sublattice. The magnetization curves of single crystal GdMn 2.e 2.for the magnetic field parallel and perpendicular to the c axis at different temperatures are calculated. Field induced magnetic phase transitions in GdMn 2.e 2.are discussed. Calculated H T magnetic phase diagrams are in fair agreement with experimental data.

CO_2.and NH_3.were measured by packed column gas *** obtained data showed the peak area ratios D/L of DL-leucine after different absorbed doses of irradiation are all the same as that of samples with no irradiation,within the limit of *** are the ratios for the separately irradiated D-and *** suggests that no asymmetric decom- position was *** relative yields D/L of radiolytic products(H_2.CO_2.and NH_3.are very close to 1.00,indicating that the D-leucine cleavage rate was the same with that of the *** the view of dissipative structure,an explanation for the result was presented.

The climatic time series encompass many time scales, forming multi-scale climatic variations and hierarchies. The periods and magnitudes of cooling or warming, especially for extreme climatic events, vary with the time scales. On the other hand, high-frequency atmospheric turbulent motions, which are certainly related to the climatic changes, are also typical multi-scale phenomena. In this paper, certain properties of the fluctuations are examined that are invariant with the change of the time scales. Specifically, the existence of a statistical similarity law is demonstrated in climatic time series and in atmospheric turbulent motions. This is the hierarchical similarity law. Further analyses show that the hierarchical similarity law is a general property of multi-scale fluctuation systems. Therefore, the study on the hierarchical similarity law is important for understanding the inherent universal physical mechanism of complex systems in the atmospheric motions.

The sizes of the Broad Line Region (BLR) of some Seyfert 1 galaxies and nearby quasars can be determined by the reverberation mapping method. Combining with the observed FWHM of Hbeta emission line and assuming that the motion of BLR clouds is virialized, the black hole masses of these objects have been estimated. However, this method strongly depends on the poorly-understood geometry and inclination of the BLR. On the other hand, a tight correlation between the black hole mass and the bulge velocity dispersion was recently found for both active and nearby inactive galaxies. This may provide another method, independent of the BLR geometry, for estimating the black hole mass. Using this method for estimating the black hole mass and combining with the measured BLR size and FWHM of Hbeta emission line, we derived the BLR inclination angles for 2. Seyfert 1 galaxies under the assumption that the BLR is disk-like. The derived inclination angles agree well with those derived previously by fitting the UV continuum and Hbeta emission line profiles. Adopting a relation between the FWHMs of [OIII]lambda5007 forbidden line and the stellar velocity dispersion, we also estimated the BLR inclinations for 50 narrow line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s). We found that the inclinations of broad Line Seyfert 1 galaxies (BLS1s) axe systematically greater than those of NLS1s, which seldom exceed 3.degrees. This may be an important factor that leads to the differences between NLS1s and BLS1s if the BLR of NLS1s is really disk-like.

Samples of cloudwater, rainwater and ambient aerosol were collected over Maoer Mountain in the northeast of Guangxi Province in March 1988. The pH value of cloudwater ranged from 3.3. to 6.2. with a mean value of 4.3.. SO42. , NO3. , NH4+, Ca2. and H+ were the principal ionic species of cloudwater. The advance of cold fronts into Maoer Mountain appeared to lead to higher major ionic concentration and acidity than that of warm fronts. The relative acidity and concentration of NO3. of cloudwater were much greater than that of aerosol samples. With the exception of. NO3. and H+, most of the concentration of SO42. and NH4+ in cloudwater came from the nucleation scavenging of aerosol. Gaseous nitric acid and organic acid from local may be one of the important source of cloudwater acidity. Compared with other sites, Maoer Mountain can be as a clean contrast station for studying acidic precipitation in Guangdong and Guangxi provinces.

We study the critical nuclei morphologies of a binary alloy by the string method. The dynamic equation of the string, connecting the metastable phase (liquid) and stable phase (solid), is governed by Helmholtz free energy for the binary alloy system at a given temperature. The stationary string through the critical nucleus (saddle point) is obtained if the relaxation time of the string is su?ciently large. The critical nucleus radius and energy barrier to nucleation of a pure alloy with isotropic interface energy in two and three dimensions are calculated, which are consistent with the classical nucleation theory. The critical nuclei morphologies are sensitive to the anisotropy strength of interface energy and interface thickness of alloy in two and three dimensions. The critical nucleus and energy barrier to nucleation become smaller if the anisotropy strength of the interface energy is increased, which means that it is much easier to form a stable nucleus if the anisotropy of the interface energy is considered.
