Based on the observation of the deep bore cores sampled from the State of Cali-fornia, USA, preferred arranged particulate concentration belts were found in the ultra-slipping lamellae. And the same phenomenon was found again later in the bore cores from the petroleum basin in the Northern Shaanxi Province. It may be the product of the dynamic processes involv-ing tumbling, grinding and compresso-shearing functions, so the spherical particulates with ul-tra-size of nm and mm are called grinding grain. The formation of the grinding grains is related with the ductile-brittle deformation, the lateral pressure of the slipping, and the very low grade of dynamic metamorphism of the rocks. Based on the systematic analysis, it is indicated that some elements like Nb and Ta are enriched in the grinding grains in the granitic rocks because of the chemical differentiation, and that the slipping lamellae bearing grinding grains in mudstone with smear efficiency prove a perfect seal for oil and gas reservoirs. Meanwhile, the paper provides bases for the studies on the fast stick-slip movement and shear paradigm.

In the thermodynamic evaluation Y was selected as a typical heavy rare earth metal for reducing the detrmental effects of tramp elements in the petroleum pipe steel. The possibilities of reactions between Y and trampelements such as Sn, Sb, As, etc. after deoxidation and desulphurization were estimated by calculating the Gibbsfree energies of formation. The equilibrium content of Y for eliminating the detrimental effects of tramp elements inthe steel was recommended from the results of thermodynamic calculation.

Consider the continuous map f : x → X and the continuous map f of K,(X) into itself induced by f, where X is a metric space and K(X) the space of all non-empty compact subsets of x endowed with the Hausdorff metric. According to the questions whether the chaoticity of f implies the chaoticity of f posed by Roman-Flores and when the chaoticity of f implies the chaoticity of f posed by Fedeli, we investigate the relations between f and f in the related dynamical properties such as transitivity, weakly mixing and mixing, etc. And by using the obtained results, we give the satisfied answers to Roman-Flores's question and Fedeli's question.

Massive sulfide ore from the Jinchuan Ni-Cu-PGE deposit was dated by Re-Os technique using Carius Tube digestion, Os distillation, Re extraction by acetone and ICP-MS measurement. An isochron giving an age of 83. ± 3. Ma, initial 187Os/188Os ratio of 0.279 ± 0.018 (MSWD = 1.7) and γOs = 13. ± 15 is obtained. The Re-Os age obtained agrees, within analytical uncertainties, with previous SHRIMP zircon U-Pb age of 827 ± 8 Ma (n=5, MSWD = 4.3.. The result suggests that the deposit was formed at Neoproterozoic and that the formation of the Jinchuan Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposit may be closely related to the plume activity, which were attributed to the breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent. The high γOs of the massive ores sug-gests that crustal material was involved in the formation of the Jinchuan deposit, however, the quantity of the added crustal material is less than 10%.

Between 1995 and 1999 the Longyadong cave site and 50 open air Paleolithic sites were investigated and excavated in the Luonan Basin of china. A total of 1?751 stone artifacts were collected from open air sites, and fossils from about 20 animal species as well as 65?000 lithic artifacts were excavated from the cave site. This paper provides a preliminary study of site lithic stratigraphics in their geological context as well as the results of thermoluminescence (TL) dating. The TL dates of five soil samples place the sites into the middle to late period of the Middle Pleistocene (Q 2 2—3.). Upon further taking into account strata relationships, three cultural periods were identified in Longyadong cave. When compared with the TL dates and stratigraphy from Zhoukoudian Locality 1, loess deposits in Shaanxi Luochuan, red earth in Anhui and deep sea records, Longyadong is in the range of 500—250 kyr, approximately the same timeframe as Zhoukoudian Locality 1.

The Sanchazi mafic-ultramafic complex in Mianlüe tectonic zone,South Qinling can be subdivided into two blocks,*** paleo-magmatic arc and Zhuangkegou paleo-oceanic crust fragment (ophiolite).The Sanchazi paleo-magmatic arc is mainly composed of ande-site,basaltic and basalt-andesitic gabbro(or diorite),andesitic dyke,plagiogranite and minor ul-tramafric rocks,which have typical geochemical features of island arc volcanic rocks,such as high field strength element(***,Ti)depletions and lower Cr,Ni *** Light rare earth element (LREE) and K enrichments of these rocks and zircon xenocrystals of 900 Ma from plagiogranite suggest that this magmatic arc was developed on the South active continental margin of the South Qinling *** U-Pb age of (3.0±61) Ma for zircons from plagiogranite in-dicates that the Mianlüe paleo-oceanic crust was probably subducted underneath the South Qinling micro-continent in *** is consistent with the formation time (3.9Ma) of the Huwan eclogite originating form oceanic subduction in Dabie Mountains,suggesting that the Mianlüe paleo-ocean probably extended eastward to the Dabie Mountains in *** high-Mg adakitic rocks in Sanchazi paleo-magmatic arc suggest thet the subducted oceanic crust was relatively young (<25Ma) and hot.

In the framework of superspace in Clifford analysis for the Dunkl version, the Fischer decomposition is established for solutions of the Dunkl super Dirac operators. The result is general without restrictions on multiplicity functions or on super dimensions. The Fischer decomposition provides a module for the Howe dual pair G × osp(1|2) on the space of spinor valued polynomials with G the Coxeter group, while the generators of the Lie superspace reveal the naturality of the Fischer decomposition.
