＜正＞Uncertainties inherent in customer demands make it difficult for supply chains to achieve just-in-time inventory replenishment,resulting in loosing sales opportunities or keeping excessive chain-wide *** this paper, two adaptive inventory-control models,a centralized model and a decentralized one,are proposed for a supply chain consisting of one supplier and one *** objective of the two models is to satisfy a target service level predefined for each retailer and to minimize the whole inventory *** inventory-control parameters of the supplier and retailers are safety lead time and safety stocks,*** most extant inventory-control approaches,modelling the uncertainty of customer demand as a statistical distribution is not a prerequisite in the two ***,using a reinforcement learning technique called action-reward method,the control parameters are designed to adaptively change as customer demand patterns changes.A simulation-based experiment was performed to compare the performance of the two inventory control models.

Interaction between the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation in far west equatorialPacific (QBOWP) and the El Nino/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is studied using a new conceptual *** this conceptual model, the QBOWP effects on ENSO are achieved through two ways: (1) the oceanicKelvin wave along equatorial Pacific, and (2) the Atmospheric Walker Circulation anomaly, while ENSOeffects on QBOWP can be accomplished by the atmospheric Walker Circulation anomaly. Diagnosisanalysis of the model results shows that the Atmospheric bridge (Walker circulation) plays a moreimportant role in interaction between the ENSO and QBOWP than the oceanic bridge (oceanic Kelvinwave along equatorial Pacific); It is found that by the interaction of the ENSO and QBOWP, a freeENSO oscillation with 3.5 years period could be substituted by a oscillation with the quasi-biennialperiod, and the dominant period of SST anomaly and wind anomaly in the far west equatorial Pacifictends to be prolonged with enhanced ENSO forcing. Generally, the multi-period variability in thecoupled Atmosphere-Ocean System in the tropical Pacific can be achieved through the interactionbetween ENSO and QBOWP.

Water temperature(WT)is one of the important indicators of water body physical ***- standing the characteristics of spatial-temporal variation on WT in the river continuum will help to de- velop the rational river-water-resource utilization plan,to avoid the possible ecology crisis,and to take full advantages of the natural resources in the involved *** the biggest international river con- tinuum in Asia,the Lancang-Mekong river subregion(known as Greater Mekong Subregion,GMS)has become a famous economic,political,and ecological natural *** study examined the spa- tial-temporal distribution characteristics of the Lancang River water temperature,using the observa- tional data of WT values from 11 hydrological stations in ***,the WT differences be- tween Yunjinghong hydrological station(one representative station in China)and Chiang Saen hydro- logical station(one representative station in Thailand)were *** indicated that:1)Water temperature was higher in the lower part of the river continuum than the upper *** variation is the main influencing *** effect is more obvious in dry season than in rainy season,more obvious in winter than in summer,and more obvious of the average minimum WT than the average maximum WT;2)WT difference between the upper and the lower parts of the river continuum was de- creasing due to little increase of WT in the upper part(Yunjinghong hydrological station)and obvious decrease of the WT in the lower part(Chiang Saen hydrological station)during the research period. Therefore,the parameters of WT are affected by the latitude,and the Lancang-Mekong river continuum lies in the north-south direction,so the tropical aquatic creatures,such as the tropical aquatic fishes, cannot survive in the upper part of this river continuum in winter season,while in summer season,the tropical aquatic creatures properly swim to the upper *** water temperature in the lower Me- kong R

An explicit simulation of the tropical cyclone Winnie （1997） was conducted by use of a triply-nested 3.D nonhydrostatic mesoscale model MM5, before and after its landfall. The simulated results show that the model can well reproduce the track of Winnie （1997） with a BOGUS storm-like vortex inserted in the large-scale first-guess field at the initial model time. The mean track error in a 6 h interval is 54.5 km, which is much less than that obtained with the operational prediction. Comparisons between simulation and observation near the landfall place show that the main temporal variation features of sea level pressure and surface wind speed can also be successfully captured. The characteristics of the eyewall, the spiral cloud band and the corresponding precipitation were disclosed, and the applications of the model outputs were also discussed.

Surface morphology of soil cracks is one of the important factors influencing the water evaporation rate in cracked soil in Yuanmou Dry-hot Valley Region,Southwest China. Quantitative study of the complicated surface morphology of soil cracks is a prerequisite for further studies of soil-cracking mechanisms. The present paper establishes a quantitative indicator system by application of concepts and methods originating from Fractal Geometry and Network Analysis. These indicators can effectively express the complicated features of soil-crack network structure. Furthermore,a series of values related to soil-crack morphology was obtained by image processing on field photos of soil-crack quads,and gradation criteria for the degree of development of soil cracks were determined. Finally,the changes in values of the morphological indicators under different degrees of development were analyzed in detail. Our results indicate that (1) the degree of development of soil cracks can be divided into five grades,i.e.,feeble development,slight development,medium development,intensive development and extremely intensive development; (2) the values of the indicators change predictably with increasing degree of development of soil cracks. The area density (Dc) increases,and both the area-weighted mean ratio of crack area to perimeter (AWMARP),which reflects the intensity of cracking,and the index r,which is related to the connectivity of a soil crack,grow uniformly (albeit with different forms). AWMRAP increases at a geometric rate while r shows logarithm-mic growth,indicating a gradual increase in theconnectivity of a soil crack. Nevertheless,the area-weighted mean of soil-crack fractal dimension (AWMFRAC) shows a decreasing trend,indicating a gradual decline in the complexity of cracks as area density increases.

This study investigates the influences of tropical Indian Ocean(TIO) warming on tropical cyclone(TC)genesis in different regions of the western North Pacific(WNP) from July to October(JASO) during the decaying El Nio. The results show significant negative TC frequency anomalies localized in the southeastern WNP. Correlation analysis indicates that a warm sea surface temperature anomaly(SSTA) in the TIO strongly suppresses TC genesis south of 21°N and east of 140°E in JASO. Reduced TC genesis over the southeastern WNP results from a weak monsoon trough and divergence and subsidence anomalies associated with an equatorial baroclinic Kelvin wave. Moreover,suppressed convection in response to a cold local SSTA, induced by the increased northeasterly connected by the wind-evaporation-SST positive feedback mechanism, is found unfavorable for TC genesis. Positive TC genesis anomalies are observed over higher latitudinal regions(at around 21°N, 140°E) and the western WNP because of enhanced convection along the northern flank of the WNP anomalous anticyclone and low-level convergence,respectively. Although local modulation(e.g., local SST) could have greater dominance over TC activity at higher latitudes in certain anomalous years(e.g., 1988), a warm TIO SSTA can still suppress TC genesis in lower latitudinal regions of the WNP. A better understanding of the contributions of TIO warming could help improve seasonal TC predictions over different regions of the WNP in years of decaying El Nio.

Supposed that the sensor is clock-driven,the controller and actuator are event-driven,and the time-varying delay is less than one sampling ***,the considered system is modeled as discrete system with input *** on Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality（LMI） technology,the stability criterion is derived,and the resultant state feedback controller is also given at the same time.
