Protokeelia is described as a new and rare pennate diatom genus in *** valve includes two parts:ventral valve and dorsal *** ventral valve is more or less convex or *** raphe runs in a distinct elevated and thickened siliceous *** the internal valve,beneath the raphe are fibulae or fibulae clusters which connect the ventral and dorsal *** species,*** Round & Basson,is observed in the water samples from a mangrove forest in Sai Kung,Hong Kong,*** main morphological features are described in this paper along with electron microscope(EM) *** comparisons are also made among several allied *** addition,a newly recorded species for china,Rhopalodia iriomotensis Kobayasi,Nagumo & Tanaka,is discussed *** several key features observed in this species resemble those of some Pro-tokeelia species,we suggest that it may actually represent a Protokeelia species.

Structure models associated with P-and S-wave velocities contain considerable amount of information on lithology and geophysical properties,which can be used to better understand the complexity of the deep crustal structure. However,records of converted shear waves are less due to the speciality of seismic survey at sea and the rigorous generated conditions. The study on shear waves has always been a weakness for studying the deep crustal structures of south china Sea (SCS). In this paper,eleven three-component OBSs were deployed along the Profile OBS-2001 in northeastern SCS. After the data processing of polarization and band-pass filter,converted S-wave phases were identified in the radical component records of nine OBSs. Taking the OBS7 as an example,identification and analysis of converted shear waves were presented and discussed in detail. A few phase groups,such as PwSc,PgSs,PnSc,PmS,and PwSn,were found coming from the deep crust or Moho interface by simple theoretical model calculation and ray-tracing simulation. The results not only provide the underlying basis for studies of S-wave velocity structure and Poisson’s ratio structure,but also reveal the relationship between crustal petrology and seismology,which will be of importance for making full use of S-wave information in the future.

This paper is concerned with the problem of adaptive neural control for uncertain nonlinear strict-feedback time-delay systems with unknown virtual control coefficients. Radial basis function (RBF) neural networks are employed to directly approximate unknown virtual control signals, and then the adaptive neural control law is constructed by Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals and backstepping. In order to avoid encountering a large number of adaptive parameters when using RBF neural networks as function approximators, an unknown constant, instead of unknown neural weights themselves, is employed as the estimated parameter. This technique makes only one adaptive parameter tuned online, thus significantly alleviating the burdensome computation. Meanwhile, some continuous functions are introduced to overcome the design difficulty originating from the use of one adaptive parameter. The proposed adaptive control guarantees the boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop system. Simulation studies are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the scheme.

THE altered deformation zone type Au (Ag) deposits share an important part from the precious metallicore deposits in the Yunkai area, south china. Their formation is a history of poly-stage evolution. Pre- liminary source strata, Calidoniam metamorphism, Indosinian-Yanshanian ductile shear deformation andassociated hydrotheraml alteration all play certain roles in the history. This note discusses the geochemical conditional of the hydrothermal fluids during mineralization. Two representative ore deposits, the Pangxidong Ag(Au) deposit and Hetai Au deposits are selectedfor this study. They are hosted in altered ductile shear zones. Wall-rock hydrothermal alteration is bothspatially and temporally associated with the development of the ductile shear system. Silicification occurred throughout the whole alteration process. -On the basis of the data of geophysics and seismic activities, the analyses of the active faults, seismic activities and the sea floor unstable factors of the Zhujiang River Mouth Basin have been made so as to study the characteristics of the compressional subactive continental margin of Cathaysian system, arc littoral strongly active fracture zone, the division of seismic subzone and seismic zone of the continental margin of northern south china Sea, the potential focal area, and to analyze the regional stability. We consider that the Zhujiang River Mouth Basin belongs to a stable or a moderately stable region.

This work concerns the representation and stability properties of impulsive solutions for a class of time-delay and measure nonlinear large scale systems. On the basis of fundamental solution of the correspollding ordinary time-delay nonlinear large scale systems is *** lumped Picard and Gauss-Seidel iteration methods which avoided the difficulties of constructing lyapunov functin, the explicit algebraic criteria of exponential stability for the impulsive and time-delay system are obtained.

Both inorganic and organic pillared montmorillonites were used to adsorb phenol. Batch kinetics and isotherm studies were carried out to evaluate the effect of equilibrium time and pH on adsorption of phe- nol by montmorillonites and re-adsorbing characteristics of pillared montmorillonites. The adsorption of phenol increased with increasing solution pH values. The elimination ratio of phenol from the solution by the absorption of organic modified pillared montmorillonite (OrPMt) reached equilibrium quickly after vibrating for 5 minutes. Meanwhile for organic montmorillonite (OrMt), pillared montmorillonite (PMt) and montmorillonite (Mt), the time to reach phenol-absorption equilibrium were 20, 3. and 90 minutes, respectively. The adsorbing capacity of the pillared montmorillonite modified with surfactant improved greatly. The phenol-adsorbing capacity of pillared molltmorillonites mainly depended on microporous structure and surface component of the modified clays. After calcination at 500 ℃, the pillar structure and the basal spacing (1.83.um) were still stable. So the pillared montmorillonite could be recycled, and it was a potential material for adsorbing envir.nmental pollutants.

Altimeter and in situ data are used to estimate the mean surface zonal geostrophic current in the section along 115°E in the southern Indian Ocean,and the variation of strong currents in relation to the major fronts is *** results show that,in average,the flow in the core of Antarctic Circumpolar Current（ACC） along the section is composed of two parts,one corresponds to the jet of Subantarctic Front（SAF） and the other is the flow in the Polar Front Zone（PFZ）,with a westward flow between *** mean surface zonal geostrophic current corresponding to the SAF is up to 49 cm · s^-1 at 46°S,which is the maximal velocity in the *** eastward flow in the PFZ has a width of about 4.3.degrees in *** mean surface zonal geostrophic current corresponding to the southern Antarctic Circumpolar Current Front（SACCF） is located at 59.7 °S with velocity less than 20 cm · s^-*** location of zonal geostrophic jet corresponding to the SAF is quite stable during the study *** contrast,the eastward jets in the PFZ exhibit various patterns,i.e.,the primary Polar Front（PF1） shows its strong meridional shift and the secondary Polar Front（PF2） does not always coincide with *** surface zonal geostrophic current corresponding to SAF has the significant periods of annual,semi-annual and *** geostrophic current of the PFZ also shows significant periods of semi-annual and four-month,but is out of phase with the periods of the SAF,which results in no notable semi-annual and fourmonth periods in the surface zonal geostrophic current in the core of the *** terms of annual cycle,the mean surface zonal geostrophic current in the core of the ACC shows its maximal velocity in June.

Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating reveals that the Baimashan Pluton is composed mainly of late Indosinian (204.5±2.8 Ma-209.2±3.8 Ma) biotite granodiorites/monzonitic granites (LIGs) and early Yanshanian (176.7±1.7 Ma) two-micas monzonitic granites (EYGs), and the coeval (203.2±4.5 Ma-205.1±3.9 Ma) mafic microgranular enclaves (MMEs) are generally found in the former. In addition, the ages of cores within zircons from LIGs and MMEs ranging from 221.4±4.0 Ma to 226.5±4.1Ma provide evidence of multistage magma intrusion during Indosinian in the study area. Measured 3.10±20.6 Ma of inherited zircon age suggests that there may be recycling Archaean curstal material in existence in this area. LIGs and EYGs share some similar geochemical features: subalkaline and peraluminous granites, enrichment of Th, U, K, Ta, Zr, Hf and LREE but depletion of Ba, Nb, P, Ti and Eu, low εNd(t) values but high (87Sr/86Sr)i ratios, and old T2DM (ca. 1.9-2.0 Ga). The behaviors of incompatible elements and REE are mainly dominated by fractional crystallization of plagioclase, K-feldspar, ilmenite and apatite, but that of Sr isotope mainly controlled by EC-AFC. They are crust-sourced and derived from partial melting of paleo-Proterozoic metagreywackes and related to biotite dehydration melting. LIGs are formed in post-collisional tectonic setting as crustal local extension and thinning during late Indosinian. But EYGs may be evolved products of congeneric granitic magma with LIGs formed in late Indoinian, which were emplaced again when crust underwent extensive thinning and extension in post-orogenic tectonic setting during Yanshanian in SC after undergoing EC-AFC. MMEs should be cognate enclaves and derived from liquid immiscibility of host magma.
