A panel method is applied to calculate the sinkage and trim of a ship sailing in a shallow *** hull surface,free surface and channel wall surfaces are discretized into panels on which Rankine sources of constant strengths are *** iterative scheme is used to deal with the nonlinear boundary conditions on free *** boundary condition on water bottom is satisfied by the method of images,whereas the radiation condition is satisfied by raised panels above free *** vertical force and pitching moment are obtained by integrating the hydrodynamic pressure over the hull surface,and the sinkage and trim are calculated according to dynamic *** calculations are performed for Series 60（C B =0.6） *** numerical results are in good agreement with experimental data.

Although the aggregated amyloid b-protein (Ab) in senile plaques is one of the key neuropathological features of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), soluble forms of Ab also interfere with synaptic plasticity at the early stage of AD. The suppressive action of acute application of Ab on hippocampal long-term potentiation (LTP) has been reported widely, whereas the mechanism underlying the effects of Ab is still mostly unknown. The present study, using the whole-cell patch clamp technique, investigated the effects of Ab fragments (Ab2.–3. and Ab3.–3.) on the LTP induction-related postsynaptic ligand-gated channel currents in isolated hippocampal CA1 neurons. The results showed a rapid but opposite action of both peptides on excitatory and inhibitory receptor currents. Glutamate application-induced currents weresuppressed by Ab2.–3.in a dose-dependent manner,andfurtherN-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA)receptor-mediated currents were selectively inhibited. In contrast, pretreatment with Ab fragments potentiated c-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-induced whole-cell currents. As a control, Ab3.–3., the reversed sequence of Ab3.–3., showed no effect on the currents induced by glutamate, NMDA or GABA. These results may partly explain the impaired effects of Ab on hippocampal LTP, and suggest that the functional down-regulation of NMDA receptors and up-regulation of GABAA receptors may play an important role in remodeling the hippocampal synaptic plasticity in early AD.

＜正＞ International Space Station （ISS） employs Catalytic Wet Oxidation （Volatile Reactor Assembly, VRA） for water recycling. Earth gravity experiments shows that VRA is very effective at removing polar, low molecular weight organics. To compare reactor performance under micro-gravity, tracer study was done on space shuttle in 1999. This research indicates that the reactor can be considered as plug flow under both micro-gravity and earth gravity experiment conditions. Dispersion is not important in VRA reactor under experiment condition.

Metal-free defective carbon materials with abundant active sites have been widely studied as low-cost and efficient oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts in metal-air ***,the active sites in defective carbon are easily subjected to serious oxidation or hydroxylation during ORR or storage,leading to rapid degradation of ***,we design a van der Waals heterostructure comprised of vitamin C(VC)and defective carbon(DC)to not only boost the activity but also enhance the durability and storage stability of the DC-VC *** formation of VC van der Waals between DC and VC is demonstrated to be an effective strategy to protect the defect active sites from oxidation and hydroxylation degradation,thus significantly enhancing the electrochemical durability and storage anti-aging ***,the DC-VC van der Waals can reduce the reaction energy barrier to facilitate the *** findings are also confirmed by operando Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and density functional theory *** is necessary to mention that the preparation of this DC-VC electrocatalyst can be scaled up,and the ORR performance of the largely produced electrocatalyst is demonstrated to be very ***,the DC-VC-based aluminum-air batteries display very competitive power density with good performance maintenance.

研究了稀土元素处理玻璃纤维填充金属塑料多层复合材料在冲击载荷、干摩擦条件下的摩擦和磨损性能 ,并利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM )对磨损表面进行了观察和分析。结果表明 ,用稀土表面改性剂处理玻璃纤维表面 ,可以提高玻璃纤维与聚四氟乙烯之间的界面结合力 ,改善复合材料的界面性能 ,并有利于在偶件表面形成分布均匀、结合强度高的转移膜 ,使复合材料与偶件表面之间的对摩减轻 ,大幅度地降低了复合材料的磨损 ,从而使复合材料具有优良的摩擦性能和抗冲击磨损性能。

As information acquisition terminals for artificial olfaction,chemiresistive gas sensors are often troubled by their cross-sensitivity,and reducing their cross-response to ambient gases has always been a difficult and important point in the gas sensing *** recognition based on sensor array is the most conspicuous way to overcome the cross-sensitivity of gas *** is crucial to choose an appropriate pattern recognition method for enhancing data analysis,reducing errors and improving system reliability,obtaining better classification or gas concentration prediction *** this review,we analyze the sensing mechanism of crosssensitivity for chemiresistive gas *** further examine the types,working principles,characteristics,and applicable gas detection range of pattern recognition algorithms utilized in gas-sensing ***,we report,summarize,and evaluate the outstanding and novel advancements in pattern recognition methods for gas *** the same time,this work showcases the recent advancements in utilizing these methods for gas identification,particularly within three crucial domains:ensuring food safety,monitoring the environment,and aiding in medical *** conclusion,this study anticipates future research prospects by considering the existing landscape and *** is hoped that this work will make a positive contribution towards mitigating cross-sensitivity in gas-sensitive devices and offer valuable insights for algorithm selection in gas recognition applications.

Achieving high maize yields and efficient phosphorus(P)use with limited environmental impacts is one of the greatest challenges in sustainable maize *** plant density is considered an effective approach for achieving high maize ***,the low mobility of P in soils and the scarcity of natural P resources have hindered the development of methods that can simultaneously optimize P use and mitigate the P-related environmental footprint at high plant *** this study,meta-analysis and substance flow analysis were conducted to evaluate the effects of different types of mineral P fertilizer on maize yield at varying plant densities and assess the flow of P from rock phosphate mining to P fertilizer use for maize production in{2..A significantly higher yield was obtained at higher plant densities than at lower plant *** application of single superphosphate,triple super-phosphate,and calcium magnesium phosphate at high plant densities resulted in higher yields and a smaller environmental footprint than the application of diammonium phosphate and monoammonium *** scenario analyses suggest that combining the optimal P type and application rate with a high plant density could increase maize yield by 2.%.Further,the P resource use efficiency throughout the P supply chain increased by 3.%,whereas the P-related environmental footprint decreased by 3.%.Thus,simultaneously optimizing the P type and application rate at high plant densities achieved multiple objectives during maize production,indicating that combining P management with cropping techniques is a practical approach to sustainable maize *** findings offer strategic,synergistic options for achieving sustainable agricultural development.

The massive use of antibiotics has led to the aggravation of bacterial resistance and also brought environmental pollution *** poses a great threat to human *** the dosage of antibiotics is reduced by increasing its bactericidal performance,the emergence of drug resistance is certainly delayed,so that there's not enough time for developing drug resistance during ***,we selected typical representative materials of metal Ag and semiconductor ZnO nano-bactericides to design and synthesize Ag/ZnO hollow core-shell structures(AZ for short).Antibiotics are grafted on the surface of AZ through rational modification to form a composite sterilization *** research results show that the antibacterial efficiency of the composite system is significantly increased,from the sum(3..7%+2..8%-57.5%)of the antibacterial efficiency of AZ and gentamicin to 80.2.,net synergizes 2..7%,which fully reflects the effect of 1+1>***,the dosage of antibiotics can be drastically reduced in this way,which makes both the possibility of bacterial resistance and medical expenses remarkably ***,residual antibiotics can be degraded under simple illumination using AZ-self as a photocatalyst,which cuts off the path of environmental *** short,such an innovative route has guiding significance for drug resistance.
