The dynamic modal model analysis of the oil casing connection is done by finite element method (FEM), and the first nature frequency, the second nature frequency, the vibration mode shape and the time domain of the node displacement and the element stress variation in the thread connection are gotten. The *** stresses of the connection in the static and dynamic state are also studied. The results of calculation and analysis show: (1) because the maximum of static stress is at the coupling thread end of connection, the connection begins to thread off at the coupling thread end, which is in accord with the results of the thread off experiment in laboratory; (2) because the first nature frequency is very high, the probability of casing connection to be damaged from vibration is little; (3. the shock dynamic load makes casing connection begin to thread off at the tube thread end.

The effect of post weld heat treatment (PWHT) on the toughness of nuclear reactor pressure vessel steel was *** toughness (K JC) and Charpy impact toughness (KVC) were obtained at different temperatures for quenched-tempered (QT) and PWHT A53.B steel plates,*** results show that PWHT increases the ductile-brittle transition temperature,and decreases the K JC and *** using SEM and Electron probe micro-analyzer (EPMA),it is found that the size of the precipitation phases increased and molybdenum precipitated during PWHT *** relationship between the size of the precipitation phases and the fracture toughness are analyzed and the influence of microstructure is also briefly discussed.

Effect of coating thickness on the calibration and measurement uncertainty of a wide-band liquid crystal thermography

Dissolution of Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids （NAPLs） is an important subsurface transport process. However, the NAPLs dissolution processes in groundwater depend on several parameters and become an inherently complex problem. Perchloroethylene （PCE） can be known as Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids （DNAPLs）. In this paper, authors developed a one- dimensional model to simulate the fate and transport of PCE originating from a DNAPLs zone in saturated aquifer. Also, sensitivity analyses for bulk mass transfer coefficient and concentration change of PCE-DNAPL during dissolution process are performed. The results showed that the bulk mass transfer coefficients played an important role in dissolution processes of DNAPLs. Also, initial concentration of DNAPLs may influence the peak of aqueous-phase contamination and dissolution time.

The liquid crystal thermography is a high-resolution and non-intrusive optical technique for full-field temperature *** present detailed calibration data for a wide-bandwidth thermochromic liquid crystal（TLC） to investigate the effect of the coating thickness on the hue-temperature characteristics and the measurement uncertainty of the *** is found that the coating thickness has appreciable effect on the TLC hue-temperature *** TLC coatings with the thickness over 20μm,a thicker TLC coating shows a relatively smaller measurement uncertainty,but the effect of the coating thickness is non-distinctive on the measurement uncertainty.

The simulations of nonlinear sloshing in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional liquid tanks with porosity girder are carried out in time domain by using the Multi-domain Boundary Element Method（MBEM）.The comparison of the present results and the references is conducted and shows they agree well with each *** three-dimensional effect and the influence of the width of liquid tank and the height and porosity of the girder on the natural period of the model are also discussed.

A 3.D time domain method is developed to investigate the gap influence on the wave threes for 3.D multiple floating structures. Special hydrodynamic resonance due to small gaps between multiple floating structures on wave forces is examined. Strong and complicate hydrodynamic interactions between the floating bodies are observed and the numerical computations have proved the existence of the sharp peak force response on each floating body at some special resonant wave numbers. By comparison with the results from the frequency domain technique, the results obtained from the time domain method reveal the similar resonant phenomena and hydrodynamic interaction. The resonant wave numbers are also proved around kL-nπ （n = 1,2 ……∞） with a corresponding frequency shift. The strong hydrodynamic interaction feature is practically significant for the design of module structures and the links （connection） in whole the floating body system.

In this work,based on the classical grain boundary (GB) formula and the principle of work-energy conversion,a new physically-based model has been developed to predict the particle pinning force concerning the interaction between second phase particles (SPPs) and the moving *** effect of particles pinning on the GB movement is *** modeling results can be applied to quantitatively determine the critical numbers of SPPs required for complete pining the grain growth,such as the critical SPPs number of the unit GB area,the critical number for single grain stagnation,the critical volume fraction of particles at a given particle *** predictions are in good agreement with the experimental results by Gladman.

The failure behavior of diamond-coated die was investigated experimentally and analytically through finite element method (FEM) simulation in the present work. Diamond coatings were fabricated by straight hot filament chemical vapor deposition (CVD) passing through the interior hole of the drawing die using a mixture of hydrogen and acetone as source gases. The performance tests were made under real drawing condition. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used for the study of coating wear after die service. The coating wear appears on two regions of the reduction zone: one is near the entrance where the contact begins, and the other is at the end of the reduction zone. FEM simulation was made for calculating the von Mises stresses distribution on the coating and substrate during the drawing process. The present work was of great practical significance for the improvement of drawing performance of diamond-coated drawing dies.

Objective To investigate the effect of iron on the growth, physiology and photosynthesis of cyanobacteria. Methods A gradient of iron concentrations was employed to investigate the growth, photo-pigments （chlorophyll A and phycocyanin）, and cell chemical contents （C, N, P） of Microcystis aeruginosa in response to different iron additions. Results The specific growth rate during the exponential growth phase, as well as the cell chlorophyll A and the phycocyanin content, was limited by iron below 12.3.mol Fe.L^-1. The growth was inhibited when the iron concentration was at 24.6 μmol Fe.L^-1. The cell chlorophyll A and the phycocyanin content were saturated when the iron concentration was above 12.3.mol Fe.L^-1 and declined slightly at 24.6 μmol Fe.L^-1. At a low iron concentration （about 6.15 μmol Fe-L^-1 and less）, the cell nitrogen and carbohydrate content were iron limited, and the variation of the cell phosphorus content was similar to that of the nitrogen and carbohydrate, with a transition point of 12.3.μmol Fe.L^-1. Conclusion The variation ofcynobacteria growth is synchronous with that of the photo-pigments or the cell chemical content, and there exist relationships among photosynthesis, growth and internal chemical content, which could be useful for the growth estimation from the cell characteristics.
