Aim:To purify and characterize the coagulant protein FIa from Daboia russellisiamensis (Myanmar) ***:FIa was purified from Daboia russellisiamensis (Myanmar) venom by ion-exchange chromatography on CM-SephadexC-50,and gel filtration on Sephadex G-75 and a Superdex 75 *** hemo-static activity of FIa was determined by the method of Williams and *** chromogenic substrates were used respectively to determine the activa-tion of factor X and *** fibrinogen-clotting activity of FIa wasdetermined by the method of Gao et *** saline was used as a negativecontrol while factor Xa and thrombin were used as positive controls,***:FIa,a coagulant protein,was achieved by ion-exchange chromatogra-phy and gel filtration with a molecular weight of 3. 479 and an isoelectric point *** was shown to have strong hemostatic *** hemostatic activity of0.5 mg FIa was equal to that of 1.5625 u *** primarily activated factor X,however,had no influence on prothrombin,nor did it cleave or clot ***:FIa is a factor X-activating enzyme,which could activate factor X tofactor Xa,but has no effect on prothrombin and fibrinogen.

A time-dependent, mixed-segment, slack tide oxygen balance model has been developed for the study of a heavily polluted tidal river discharging to a coastal *** and reaeration, BOD settling, benthal demand, freshwater flushing, and tidal mixing are the key processes modelled. Significant features of the model include the oxygen balance formulation under anoxic conditions and the tidal exchange condition at the seaward boundary. The simple model enables a clear and consistent interpretation of a set of dry season water quality data and an assessment of the assimilative capacity of the river is also made.

Let T be a singular integral operator bounded on Lp(Rn) for some p, 1 < p < ∞. The authors give a sufficient condition on the kernel of T so that when b ∈BMO, the commutator [b,T](f) = T(bf) - bT(f) is bounded on the space Lp for all p, 1 < p < ∞. The condition of this paper is weaker than the usual pointwise Hormander condition.

This paper presents the elastic and plastic deformation of the steel helmet with coldextrusion moulding. The plastic streamline of the plastic mould-making process for ellipse thinplate is described. A pseudo-alloy PS45/CuAl8 composite coating was sprayed on steel substrate by high-velocity activated arc spraying (HVAA) process. Its sliding wear behavior at room temperature was evaluated by M-2000 wear tester. For comparison, a single CuAl8 coating was also prepared and tested under the same conditions. It is found that the pseudo-alloy composite coating consists of α-Cu and γ-Ni metallic matrix phases together with homogenously distributed minor Al 2 O 3., Cr 2 O 3.oxide phases. Moreover, pseudo-alloy coating possesses much better sliding wear resistance than CuAl8 coating due to the enhanced hardness and microstructural homogenization. Fatigue wear and abrasive wear are responsible for the wear-down mechanism of the pseudo-alloy coating.
