Let f : U(x0) (?) E→F be a. C1 map and f’(X0) be the Prechet derivative of /fat X0. In local analysis of nonlinear functional analysis, implicit function theorem, inverse function theorem, local surjectivity theorem, local injectivity theorem, and the local conjugacy theorem are well known. Those theorems are established by using the properties: f’(x0) is double splitting and R(f’(x))∩N(T0+) = {0} near X0. However, in infinite dimensional Banach spaces, f’(x0) is not always double splitting (i.e., the generalized inverse of f’(xo) does not always exist), but its bounded outer inverse of f’(x0) always exists. Only using the C1 map f and the outer inverse T0# of f’(x0), the authors obtain two quasi-local conjugacy theorems, which imply the local conjugacy theorem if X0 is a locally fine point of f. Hence the quasi-local conjugacy theorems generalize the local conjugacy theorem in Banach spaces.

For the purpose of understanding the weathering characteristics of surface layers in purple mudstone sloping fields of the Three Gorges Reservoir area of china, oxide content of major elements, composition of clay minerals, magnetic susceptibility, and difference in weathering characteristics of surface layers under different slope gradients were determined. The results showed that the oxide content of Si, Al, and Fe ranged from 60% to 75% and the weathering coefficient with depth showed no trend along the slope gradient. Also, for gentle (10° and 15°) and intermediate (25° and 40°) slopes the clay relative diffraction peak for kaolinite at the surface between 0-10 cm and 10-20 cm declined with an increase in slope gradient, while the relative diffraction peak for kaolinite in weathered layers on steep slopes (50° and 60°) disappeared altogether. Magnetic susceptibility decreased with increasing depth and, for a given depth layer, decreased with an increase in slope gradient. Analysis of the oxide content, weathering coefficients, clay minerals, and magnetic susceptibility showed that in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the pedogenesis of the weathering layer in purple mudstone sloping fields was weak with weaker soil formation going from gentle slope to steep slope.

The Yangtze plate, extending from east to west in southern china, was formed about 800 Ma ago. Since the Sinian, two aulacogens trending east-northeast and connected at the east ends, have been initiated in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui region on the east margin of the plate with a sedimentary sequence up to 10,000 m in thickness. At a later stage of sedimentologic evolution, flysch and molasse were produced. The flyseh was accumulated in the Late Ordovician, when the two aulacogens became bays that opened to the east; the elastic materials were derived from the Yangtze oldland on the northern and southern sides of the basins. The molasse was accumulated from the terminal Late Ordovician to the Middle Ordovician; the clastie materials came from an uplifted orogenic belt in the east. This indicates that a major change in the tectonic pattern of the basins has taken place.

An igneous intrusion of 94m thick was discovered intruding into the Silurian sandstone from Tazhong 18 Well. The petroleum previously preserved in the Silurian sandstone reservoir was altered into black carbonaceous bitumen by abnormally high heat stress induced by the igneous intrusion. The reflec-tance of the carbonaceous bitumen reaches as high as 3.54%, indicating that the bitumen had evolved into a high thermal evolution level. Similar to the Silurian samples from the neighboring Tazhong 11, Tazhong 12, Tazhong 45 and Tazhong 47 wells, the distribution of C27, C28 and C29 steranes of the car-bonaceous bitumen is still "V" -shaped and can still be employed as an efficient parameter in oil source correlation. The "V" -shaped distribution indicates that the hydrocarbons from the Tazhong 18 and the neighboring wells were all generated from the Middle-Upper Ordovician hydrocarbon source rocks. However, the oil source correlation parameters associated with and terpanes had been changed greatly by the high heat stress and can no longer be used in oil source correlation. The δ 13. values of the pe-troleum from the neighboring wells are between -3..53. and -3..3.‰, coincident with those of the Paleozoic marine petroleum in the Tarim Basin. However, the δ 13. values of the carbonaceous bitumen from the Tazhong 18 Well are between -27.18‰ and -29.26‰, isotopically much heavier than the pe-troleum from the neighboring wells. The content of light hydrocarbons (nC14-nC20) of the saturated hydrocarbon fraction in the carbonaceous bitumen is extremely higher than the content of heavy hy-drocarbons. The light/heavy hydrocarbon ratios (ΣnC21-/ΣnC22+) are between 4.56 and 3..17. In the saturated fraction, the even numbered hydrocarbons are predominant to the odd numbered, and the OEP (Odd to Even Predominance) values are between 0.22 and 0.49. According to the theory of preferred plane, preferred planes (faults) alwayscontrol the distribution of bedrock fissure water and hold abundant groundwater. Thus, theexploration of fissure or karst water can be converted into searching for the watery preferred plane(WPP). In the paper, the characteristic of watery preferred planes is analyzed and a series ofsuperior indices has been set up. It is introduced that WPPs are determined by the methods ofgeological analysis, superior index and complex geophysical analysis. Meanwhile, new multiple modelfor water resource development in the water-scarce areas of karst mountainous regions are advanced.

The functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) based on blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) contrast has emerged as one of the most potent noninvasive tools for mapping brain function and has been widely used to explore physiological, pathological changes and mental activity in the brain. Exploring the nature and property of BOLD signal has recently attracted more attentions. Despite that great progress has been made in investigation of the characteristics and neurophysiological basis, the exact nature of BOLD signal remains unclear. In this paper we discuss the characteristics of BOLD signals, the nonlinear BOLD response to external stimuli and the relation between BOLD signals and neural electrophysiological recordings. Furthermore, we develop our new opinions regarding nonlinear BOLD response and make some perspectives on future study.

Distribution characteristics of terrestrial heat flow density in Jiyang depression of Shengli Oilfield, East china

Based on the geo-temperature data of 13.systematically continuous temperature log curves and 700 testing oil boreholes in Jiyang depression, Shengli Oilfield, and the measured thermal conductivities of 47 rock samples, the terrestrial heat flow densities of 114 boreholes of Jiyang depression and its surrounding areas are determined, including 13.of those data derived from systemically continuous temperature logging. The results show that Jiyang depression has a relatively high background heat flow with an average value (65.8 5.4) mW/m2. The lateral variation of heat flow in basin has negative correlation with basement depth. Moreover, heat flow of uplift areas with shallower basement is high, so are those of regions with volcanic rocks, and those of depression areas with deep basement are relatively low. The heat flow densities of different structural units of Jiyang depression can be summarized as follows: The average heat flow value of Zhanhua sag is (67.4 5.3. mW/m2, higher than that of the whole basin, that of Dongying sag is (66.0 6.1) mW/m2, and that of Chezhen sag is (65.1 3.7) mW/m2. It is apparent that these latter two values are approximate to the average value of the whole Jiyang depression, while the average value of Huimin sag is (63.65.0) mW/m2, lower than that of the whole basin. In fact, the basement depth and the distribution framework of uplift and depression areas are all controlled by the process of lithosphere extension. In addition, the distribution of volcanic rocks in basin is also relatively close to this extension geodynamic process. In summary, the distribution characteristics of terrestrial heat flow of Jiyang depression is determined by the Cenozoic tectono-thermal events of this region.
