The conversion from residue to weighted binary representation plays an important role in the residue number *** on Chinese Remainder Theorem,a new residue-to-binary converter using arbitrary moduli set is *** new converter uses the difference-correction algorithm for the conversion output and eliminates the modulo M operation,where M is the dynamic range of the residue number *** sizes of the multipliers and modular multipliers in the new converter are small,thereby reducing the area and delay of the proposed *** and synthesis results indicate that the new converter is more area-time effcient than the published converters based on Chinese Remainder Theorem.

A simple scheme for separating overlapped peak signals (OPS) is proposed, with the Tsallis distribution as the model for OPS processing and fractional-order differentiation as tool for the signal analysis, the relationships of the maxima and zero-crossing values of the Tsallis peak signal, separately, to the order of differentiation are established, leading to two types of parameter estimators, which are utilized, by adjusting the peak-shape parameter, to calculate the parameters of position, height and width of the Gaussian, Lorentzian and Tsallis distribution. The obtained characteristic parameters can be employed to fit the peak signals to be treated, thereby fulfilling the OPS decomposition.

Unsupervised learning plays an important role in the neural networks. Focusing on the unsupervised mechanism of neural networks, a novel generalized goodness criterion for the unsupervised neural learning of visual perception based on the martingale measure is proposed in the paper. The differential geometrical structure is used as the framework of the whole inference and spatial statistical description with adaptive attribute is embedded in the corresponding nonlinear functional space. Consequently the integration of optimization process and computational simulation with the NeoDarwinian paradigm is obtained. And the generalization of the guidance for the evolutionary learning in the neural net framework, the convergence of the goodness and process of the evolution guaranteed by the mathematical features are discussed. This criterion has generic significance in the field of machine vision and visual pattern classification.

Constructing a family of generalized Lyapunov functions, a new method is proposed to obtain new global attractive set and positive invariant set of the Lorenz chaotic system. The method we proposed greatly simplifies the complex proofs of the two famous estimations presented by the Russian scholar Leonov. Our uniform formula can derive a series of the new estimations. Employing the idea of intersection in set theory, we extract a new Leonov formula-like estimation from the family of the estimations. With our method and the new estimation, one can confirm that there are no equilibrium, periodic solutions, almost periodic motions, wandering motions or other chaotic attractors outside the global attractive set. The Lorenz butterfly-like singular attractors are located in the global attractive set only. This result is applied to the chaos control and chaos synchronization. Some feedback control laws are obtained to guarantee that all the trajectories of the Lorenz systems track a periodic solution, or globally stabilize an unstable (or locally stable but not globally asymptotically stable) equilibrium. Further, some new global exponential chaos synchronization results are presented. Our new method and the new results are expected to be applied in real secure communication systems.

The network-on-chip (NoC) architecture is a main factor affecting the system performance of complicated multi-processor systems-on-chips (MPSoCs).To evaluate the effects of the NoC architectures on communication efficiency,several kinds of techniques have been developed,including various simulators and analytical *** simulators are accurate but time consuming,especially in large space explorations of diverse network configurations;in contrast,the analytical models are fast and flexible,providing alternative methods for performance *** this paper,we propose a general analytical model to esti-mate the communication performance for arbitrary NoCs with wormhole routing and virtual channel flow *** resolve the inherent dependency of successive links occupied by one packet in wormhole routing,we propose the routing path decomposition approach to generating a series of ordered link *** we use the traditional queuing system to derive the fine-grained transmission latency for each network *** to our experiments,the proposed analytical model provides a good approximation of the average packet latency to the simulation results,and estimates the network throughput precisely under various NoC configurations and ***,the analytical model runs about 10 5 times faster than the cycle-accurate NoC *** applications of the model including bottleneck detection and virtual channel allocation are also presented.

The geometries,stabilities and electronic properties of Crn and CrnB(n=2-9) clusters have been systematically investigated by density functional *** results suggest that the lowest energy structures for CrnB clusters can be obtained by substituting one Cr atom in Crn+1 clusters with B *** geometries of CrnB clusters are similar to that of Crn+1 clusters except for local structural *** second-order difference and fragmentation energy show Cr4,Cr6,Cr8,Cr3.,Cr5B and Cr8B cluster are the most stable among these studied *** impurity B increases the stabilities of chromium *** B is doped on the Crn clusters,cluster geometry does dominate positive role in enhancing their *** doped B atom does not change the coupling way of the Cr site in Crn clusters,but breaks the symmetry and the Cr atoms are no longer *** doped B atom increases the total magnetic moments of Crn in most cases.

The concentration dependence of the reduced viscosity of dilute polymer solution is interpreted in the light of a new concept of the self-association of polymer chains in dilute solution. The apparent self-association constant is defined as the molar association constant divided by the molar mass of individual polymer chain and is numerically interconvertible with the Huggins coefficient. The molar association constant is directly proportional to the effective hydrodynamic volume of the polymer chain in solution and is irrespective of the chain architecture. The effective hydrodynamic volume accounts for the non-spherical conformation of a short polymer chain in solution and is a product of a shape factor and hydrodynamic volume. The observed enhancement of Huggins coefficient for short chain and branched polymer is satisfactorily interpreted by the concept of self-association. The concept of self-association allows us to predict the existence of a boundary concentration C-s(dynamic contact concentration) which divides the dilute polymer solution into two regions.

By analysis of the basic properties of entanglement swapping of high-dimensional Bell states,a universal and general deterministic secure quantum communication(DSQC)protocol is proposed,in which unitary operation is not *** making use of the results of high-dimensional Bell measurement,the sender and the receiver can encode and decode the message respectively by performing the modular addition and *** mutually complementary bases are constructed;and according to the property of mutual complement,a method for checking security of the high-dimensional quantum channel is put *** common attack strategies are analyzed,and the corresponding error rates are *** the upper bound of the threshold of error rate is deduced.

A new concept of the D(β)-vertex-distinguishing total coloring of graphs, i.e., the proper total coloring such that any two vertices whose distance is not larger than β have different color sets, where the color set of a vertex is the set composed of all colors of the vertex and the edges incident to it, is proposed in this paper. The D(2)-vertex-distinguishing total colorings of some special graphs are discussed, meanwhile, a conjecture and an open problem are presented.
