Optimizing 2D-metal contact in layered Tin-selenide via native oxide modulation

The discovery of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor has opened up new avenues for the development of short-channel field-effect transistors(FETs)with desired electrical *** them,orthorhombic tin-selenide(SnSe)has garnered increasing attention due to its potential applications in a variety of electronic,optoelectronic,and thermoelectric ***,the realization of high-performance SnSe FETs with low contact resistance(Rc)remains a ***,we systematically investigate the contact of few-layer SnSe FETs through the modulation of native oxide on SnSe by using different *** is found that chromium(Cr)-contacted devices possess the best FET performance,such as electron mobility up to 606 cm^(2)/(V·s)at 78 K,current on/off ratio exceeding 1010,and saturation current of~550μA/μm,where a negligible Schottky barrier(SB)of~3. meV and a low contact resistance of~425Ωμm are achieved.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and cross-sectional electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)results further reveal that the improved contact arises from the Cr-induced reduction of native oxide(SnOx)to Sn,which thins the tunneling barrier for efficient electron *** findings provide a deep insight into the 2D-metal contact of SnSe and pave the way for its applications in future nanoelectronics.

Owing to the distinctive structural characteristics,vanadium nitride(VN)is highly regarded as a catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in zinc-air batteries(ZABs).However,VN exhibits limited intrinsic ORR activity due to the weak adsorption ability to O-containing ***,the S-doped VN anchored on N,S-doped multi-dimensional carbon(S-VN/Co/NS-MC)was constructed using the solvothermal and in-situ doping *** sulfur atoms into VN species alters the electron spin state of vanadium in the S-VN/Co/NS-MC for regulating the adsorption energy of vanadium sites to oxygen *** introduced sulfur atoms polarize the V 3._(z)^(2) electrons,shifting spin-down electrons closer to the Fermi level in the S-VN/Co/***,the introduction of sulfur atoms into VN species enhances the adsorption energy of vanadium sites for oxygen ****OOH dissociation transitions from being unspontaneous on the VN surface to a spontaneous state on the S-doped VN ***,the ORR barrier on the S-VN/Co/NS-MC surface is *** S-VN/Co/NS-MC demonstrates a higher half-wave potential and limiting current density compared to the VN/Co/*** S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based liquid ZABs display a power density of 195.7 m W cm^(-2),a specific capacity of 815.7 m A h g^(-1),and a cycling stability exceeding 250 *** S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based flexible ZABs are successfully employed to charge both a smart watch and a mobile *** approach holds promise for advancing the commercial utilization of VN-based catalysts in ZABs.

In order to research the possibility of digital close-range photogrammetric surveying in small scale physical simulation experiment, physical model coinciding with engineering practice was constructed based on similar theory. The datum processing method and surveying precision of digital close-range photogrammetric were analyzed. And the function relationship between overburden subsidence factor qr and the ratio z/H of stratum horizon z and mining depth H was researched. The results show that surveying points position mean error along horizontal direction is ±0.13. mm and vertical direction is ±0.192 mm. Therefore, multi-taking station cross direction digital close-range photogrammetric can completely satisfy the precision need of physical simulation experiment. And the empirical formula can be utilized to represent evolution law of stratum subsidence factor.

As a new direct metal prototyping technology,the hybrid plasma and laser deposition manufacturing (PLDM) is proposed in this paper. In order to figure out the characteristics of plasma arc beam and mould in the PLDM process of high temperature alloy, the high speed CCD camera is used to obtain the picture around the plasma arc. Afterwards the sketch of picture is clearly obtained. And the effect of laser parameter, such as average power, pulse width, pulse repetition frequency and the angle between laser beam and plasma arc beam on the plasma arc appearance, is studied experimentally. The results show that the modality of plasma arc beam is markedly influenced by laser beam. And the improvements of shape precision and surface state of the layer deposited by PLDM are confirmed.

Autonomous relative navigation is the key technology in mining or rescuing. On the basis of mine requirement and the theories of machine vision, an autonomous relative navigation algorithm for mine agent based on quaternion was proposed. In rotation transformation, this algorithm was represented by using quaternion. Because the Jacobi matrix of this method is lower than that of Hall algorithm, the calculation efficiency is improved by using this algorithm. The results of these experiments show that the computation burden of this algorithm based on quaternion is about half that of Hall algorithm. This algorithm based on quaternion is improved as a valid way to solve the problem of mine real-time navigation.

Supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) can effectively destroy many kinds of civilian and military wastes. The high temperature and high pressure SCWO operation conditions generate very corrosive environment that many engineering materials fail to withstand. Preliminary test shows that titanium may be a promising material in most of SCWO conditions. Commercially pure titanium is tested in four kinds of SCWO environments. Phenol, sodium dodecyl benzosulfonate, n amine phenol, and chlorpyrifos were chosen as typical target pollutants. The results show that titanium is only superficially attacked in the first three SCWO environments while in chlorpyrifos SCWO medium titanium is corroded. The corrosion is temperature dependent, with heavier corrosion occurring at near critical temperature. X ray diffraction analysis shows that the corrosion products consist of titanium oxy phosphates and titanium oxide, in which Ti 5O 4(PO 4) 4 is the main phase.

Stacking single layers of atoms on top of each other provides a fundamental way to achieve novel material systems and engineer their physical properties,which offers opportunities for exploring fundamental physics and realizing next-generation optoelectronic *** the two-dimensional(2D)-stacked systems,transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC)heterostructures are particularly attractive because they host tightly-bonded interlayer excitons which possess various novel and appealing *** interlayer excitons have drawn significant research attention and hold high potential for the application in unique optoelectronic devices,such as polarization-and wavelength-tunable single photon emitters,valley Hall transistors,and possible high-temperature *** development of these devices requires a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental properties of these interlayer excitons and the impact of electric fields on their *** this review,we summarize the recent advances on the understanding of interlayer exciton dynamics under electric fields in TMDC *** put emphasis on the electrical modulation of interlayer excitons’emission,the valley Hall transport of charge carriers after the separation of interlayer excitons by an electric field,and the correlation physics of interlayer excitons and charges under electrical doping and *** and perspectives are finally discussed for the application of TMDC heterostructures in future optoelectronics.

Experimental study of interband and intraband crosstalk in WDM networks

The impacts of interband and intraband crosstalk are studied and compared experimentally. Results show that interband crosstalk can be removed with narrow-band filters and has no influence on signal. Intraband crosstalk will result in signal eye diagram close and BER increasing. When the polarization states of signal and crosstalk align, intraband crosstalk seriously decreases signal quality. But when they misalign, it has little influence. Coherent and incoherent crosstalk are studied experimentally. Results show that coherent crosstalk is less harmful to system performance than incoherent crosstalk.

A Heuristic for the Job Scheduling Problem with a Common Due Window on Parallel and Non-Identical Machines

In this paper, we give a mathematical model for earliness-tardiness job scheduling problem with a common due window on parallel and non-identical machines. Because the job scheduling problem discussed in the paper contains a problem of minimizing make-span, which is NP-complete on parallel and uniform machines, a heuristic algorithm is presented to find an approximate solution for the scheduling problem after proving an important theorem. Two numerical examples illustrate that the heuristic algorithm is very useful and effective in obtaining the near-optimal solution.
