In this paper, we give a hybrid method to numerically solve the inverse open cavity scattering problem for cavity shape, given the scattered solution on the opening of the cavity. This method is a hybrid between an iterative method and an integral equations method for solving the Cauchy problem. The idea of this hybrid method is simple, the operation is easy, and the computation cost is small. Numerical experiments show the feasibility of this method, even for cases with noise.

In this paper, we investigate the persistence of invariant tori for the nearly in-tegrable Hamiltonian system H(x,y) = h(y) + εp(x,y) + ε2Q(x,y), where h(y) and εp(x,y) satisfy the Russmann non-degenerate condition. Mainly we overcome the difficulties that the order of the parameter E in the perturbation ε2Q(x,y) is not enough and that the measure estimate involves in parts of frequencies with small parameter.

In this paper, we study the algebraic properties of the higher analogues of Courant algebroid structures on the direct sum bundle TM ⊕∧nT*M for an m-dimensional manifold. As an application, we revisit Nambu-Poisson structures and multisymplectic structures. We prove that the graph of an (n + 1)-vector field π is closed under the higher-order Dorfman bracket iff π is a Nambu-Poisson structure. Consequently, there is an induced Leibniz algebroid structure on ∧nT*M. The graph of an (n+1)-form ω is closed under the higher-order Dorfman bracket iff ω is a premultisymplectic structure of order n, i.e., dω = 0. Furthermore, there is a Lie algebroid structure on the admissible bundle A  ∧nT*M. In particular, for a 2-plectic structure, it induces the Lie 2-algebra structure given in (Baez, Hoffnung and Rogers, 2010).

In model-based diagnosis, the candidate diagnostic results are generally characterized by all minimal hitting sets for the collection of all conflict sets. In this paper, a new method is proposed to judge a hitting set by the number of conflict sets corresponding to components, and the computing procedure is formalized by combining revised SE-tree (set enumeration tree) with closed nodes to generate all minimal hitting sets. Results show that because closed nodes are added into SE-tree, the search efficiency is highly improved. Furthermore, the proposed method is easy to be understood and implemented. Compared with other effective algorithms with completeness in some experimental tests, the diagnosis efficiency of our proposed method is higher, particularly for single- and double-fault diagnosis.
