THEORY OF ORTHONORMAL M-BAND WAVELET PACKETS

In recent years, M-band orthonormal wavelet bases, due to their good characteristics, have attracted much attention. The ability of 2-band wavelet packets to decompose high frequency channels can be employed to improve the performance of wavelets for time-frequency localization, which makes more kinds of signals for analyzing by wavelets. Similar to the notations from the extension of 2-band wavelets to 2-band wavelet packets, the theoretic framework of M-band wavelet packets is developed, a generalization of the notations and properties of 2-band wavelet packets to that of M-band wavelet packets is made and the corresponding proofs are given.

＜正＞ Radical Basis Function Neural Network （RBFNN） is a feed forward neural network , it has great advantages over MLP（Multi-Layer Perceptron） on the approximation and classification. However it is difficult to construct a simple and efficient NN with learning algorithm, that is, there are so many parameters to determine. A novel IEA-RBFNN Multi-user Detector is presented based on the immune theory in biology. The goal of the algorithm is to solve the contradiction of the complexity and the performance of the RBF-NN in the application in CDMA. Simulations show that the algorithm can converge rapidly and effectively eliminate multi-access interference, so it is near-far resistant.

A fast MUltiple signal Classification (MUSIC) spectrum peak search algorithm is devised, which regards the power of the MUSIC spectrum function as target distribution up to a constant of proportionality, and uses Metropolis-Hastings (MH) sampler, one of the most popular Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) techniques, to sample from it. The proposed method reduces greatly the tremendous computation and storage costs in conventional MUSIC techniques i.e., about two and four orders of magnitude in computation and storage costs under the conditions of the experiment in the paper respectively.

radar high-resolution range profile （HRRP） has received intensive attention from the radar automatic target recognition （RATR） ***,complex HRRPs are not fully used for RATR but only their amplitude vectors,while the phase information of them is discarded due to the fact that the initial phase of a complex HRRP is strongly sensitive to target position ***,the phase information of complex HRRPs may also contain valuable target discriminant information,which may further improve the recognition *** paper concerns RATR using complex *** deal with the initial phase sensitivity of complex HRRPs,we extract the complex HRRPs’ feature subspace within each target-aspect sector of each target via principal component analysis （PCA） as the corresponding template during the training phase,while in the test phase,project the test sample onto each feature subspace and search the optimal approximation of the test sample with the minimum reconstruction error to decide which target the test sample belongs *** is shown that the whole process is independent of the initial phases of complex ***,to make the proposed recognition method more practical,a fast time-shift compensation algorithm is *** the recognition experiments based on measured data,the proposed recognition method using complex HRRPs achieves better recognition results than that using only the amplitude vectors of the complex HRRPs.

The rapid development of compressive sensing(CS)shows that it is possible to recover a sparse signal from very limited *** aperture radar(SAR)imaging based on CS can reconstruct the target scene with a reduced number of collected samples by solving an optimization *** multi-channel SAR imaging based on CS,each channel requires sufficient samples for separate imaging and the total number of samples could still be *** propose an imaging algorithm based on distributed compressive sensing(DCS)that reconstructs scenes jointly under multiple ***-channel SAR imaging based on DCS not only exploits the sparsity of the target scene,but also exploits the correlation among *** requires significantly fewer samples than multi-channel SAR imaging based on *** multiple channels offer different sampling rates,DCS joint processing can reconstruct target scenes with a much more flexible allocation of the number of measurements offered by each channel than that used in separate CS processing.

In view of slow convergence for fixed-step Equivariant Adaptive Separation for Independent（EASI）algorithm and the problem for variable stepsize algorithm which bases on kurtosis is sensitive to outlier,a new variable step-size EASI algorithm is proposed,which applys the negative entropy maximization method of non-polynomial functions to the approximate calculation of the mutual *** results show that the proposed algorithm not only achieves faster convergence and smaller stead-state error than fixed-step EASI and other variable step-size algorithms,but also demonstrate better stability for the problem of outlier.
