Propagation of interplanetary shock excited ultra low frequency (ULF) waves in magnetosphere-ionosphere-atmosphere——Multi-spacecraft “Cluster” and ground-based magnetometer observations

The ultra low frequency (ULF) wave in magnetosphere can act as an important means for solar wind energy inward *** paper quantitatively analyzes the propagation process of the ULF wave triggered by the interplanetary shock propagating from inner magnetosphere equatorial plane along magnetic field lines to the top of the ionosphere and below ionosphere propagating process and establishes a relatively complete magnetosphere-ionosphere-atmosphere propagation model which can be used to study the relationship between the amplitude of the ULF waves triggered by the interplanetary shock wave in magnetospheric space and the magnetic effect caused by the ULF *** a comparison with recent observations,we found that: in the event during November 7,2004 that an interplanetary shock wave interacted with the magnetosphere,Cluster satellites observed that electric field fluctuations and the band-pass filtered result of ground stations meridional component had similar *** with the geomagnetic measurement near the footprints,we found that the electric field disturbance in the magnetosphere spread along the ground magnetic field lines in the form of the ULF waves and changed into geomagnetic *** result reveals that the ULF wave is in contact with the ground geomagnetic *** ULF waves couple with ionized components in ionosphere and spread to the ground in the form of electromagnetic *** this research,we believe that the magnetosphere,ionosphere and ground magnetic effects caused by interplanetary shock wave are the same physical phenomena responding in different *** on the overall consideration of entire electromagnetic response to the interplanetary shock wave,we found that the correlation between CLUSTER multi-satellite observation and geomagnetic station observation is due to the ULF wave propagated in magnetosphere-ionosphere-atmosphere system,and we quantitatively interpreted this response process

Carbon isotope ratios (δ^(13)C) of 89 C_4 plant samples were determined fromthe loess area in North china. δ^(13)C values vary between -10.5per thousand and -14.6per thousandwith a mean of -12.6per thousand. Along a precipitation gradient from the semi-moist area to thesemiarid area, then to the arid area, the δ^(13)C values of C_4 plants show a slight decreasingtrend. The δ^(13)C values of C_4 plants in the dry season are found lower than those in the wetseason. These trends are opposite to those observed for C_3 species.

AIM: Atherosclerosis (AS) is one of the major threatens of the health and life of human being. Accumulating data have supported the idea that the pathogenesis of AS includes a set of inflammatory and immune responses. The migration, proliferation and apoptosis of smooth muscle cells (SMC) also play an important role. Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) is a neuropeptide with potent vasodilatory effect. New numerical algorithms in SUPER CE/SE and their applications in explosion mechanics

The new numerical algorithms in SUPER/CESE and their applications in explosion mechanics are studied. The researched al-gorithms and models include an improved CE/SE (space-time Conservation Element and Solution Element) method,a local hybrid particle level set method,three chemical reaction models and a two-fluid model. Problems of shock wave reflection over wedges,explosive welding,cellular structure of gaseous detonations and two-phase detonations in the gas-droplet system are simulated by using the above-mentioned algorithms and models. The numerical results reveal that the adopted algorithms have many advantages such as high numerical accuracy,wide application field and good compatibility. The numerical algo-rithms presented in this paper may be applied to the numerical research of explosion mechanics.

TIANSHAN in southern Xinjiang belongs to the Paleozoic island arc system in which volcanic rocks are extensively distributed. A series of epithermal gold deposits such as the Axi, Xitan, Cuiling andShuangfengshan gold deposits have been discovered. 1 Geological settings of epithermal gold deposits in Tianshan, southern Xinjiang Tianshan in southern Xinjiang belongs to the Paleozoic island arc system. To its north is the Kazakhstan plate, and to its north is the Tarim plate. From west to east, the tectonic units are characterizedby Yili island arc, southern Tianshan arc-basin, Jiaoluotage island arc and Xingxingxia island arc. TheEW-trending Tianshan ore belt is controlled by Kanggurtag geosuture. In its west part, it is controlled byShenglidaban geosuture. Straight river: its formation and speciality

Straight river is generally regarded as one of the typical river patterns in conventional classifications in terms of their channel plain landforms. However, very few straight patterns were found to be distributed in wider spatial and temporal spans in the self-adjusted fluvial rivers. Thus, the questions occur such as that is it possible for a channel takes on a stable straight pattern? What are the main factors controlling the processes of the river pattern formation and transformation from a straight to other patterns? Various theories and hypotheses including geomorphic threshold hypothesis, the extreme hypothesis on energy dissipation rate, the stability theory, etc. have been developed to explain the aforementioned questions, but none of them is sound for the explanation to the straight-river formation. From the modern fluvial plain patterns, the straight patterns are not as stable as other typical patterns which occurred in nature; from the historic records of the river sedimentation, no apparent evidence was found to support the stable straight river evolution. Based on the analysis of existing theories, observations, evolvement processes of the channel patterns in the experimental results, this paper concluded that the straight pattern should not be included as one of the typical patterns that are self-formed and developed. This study is of importance to understanding of the river pattern formation and transformation.

AIM: To study the regulation effects of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide (Gl-PS) on maturation and function of cultured murine bone-marrow derived dendritic cells (DC) in vitro. METHODS: 1). ＜正＞Dynamic nuclear Ca2+ signals play pivotal roles in diverse cellular functions including gene transcription, cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Here we report a novel nuclear Ca2+ regulatory mechanism that is mediated by perinuclear inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptors （IP3Rs） in developing cardiac myocytes. Activation of IP3Rs by α1-adrenergic receptor （α1-AR） stimulation or by IP, application （in saponin-permeabilized cells） increases Ca2+ spark frequency preferentially in the perinuclear region in neonatal rat ventricular myocytes. Strikingly, we observed "perinuclear Ca2+ waves" that engulf the entire nucleus without spreading into the bulk cytosol. A perinuclear enrichment of IP3Rs supports the hyperexcitability of Ca2+-induced Ca2+ release in the layer of perinuclear sarcoplasmic reticulum （SR）. α1-AR stimulation enhances the formation of IP, and occurrence of perinuclear Ca2+ waves and confers them the ability to trigger cytosolic Ca2+ waves via IP3R-dependent pathways. This finding accounts for a profound frequency-dependent modulation of global Ca2+ oscillation during α1AR stimulation. Thus, IP3R Ca2+ waves traveling in the layer of perinuclear SR provide active, autonomous regulation of nuclear Ca2+ signaling, and serve as a pacemaker to drive global Ca2+ oscillation in the context of α1AR stimulation in developing cardiac myocytes.
