The dynamical properties of Rydberg hydrogen atom near a metal surface are presented by using the methods of phase space analysis and closed orbit theory. Transforming the coordinates of the Hamiltonian, we find that the phase space of the system is divided into vibrational and rotational region. Both the Poincaré surface of section and the closed orbit theory verify the same conclusion clearly. In this paper we choose the atomic principal quantum number as n = 20. The dynamical character of the exited hydrogen atom depends sensitively on the atom-surface distance d. When d is sufficiently large, the atom-surface potential can be expressed by the traditional van der Waals force and the system is integrable. When d becomes smaller, there exists a critical value dc. For d > dc, the system is near-integrable and the motion is regular. While chaotic motion appears for d < dc, and the system tends to be non-integrable. The trajectories become unstable and the electron might be captured onto the metal surface.

The relativistic microscopic optical potential in the asymmetric nuclear matter is studied in the framework of the Dirac Brueckner-Hartree-Fock method. A new decomposition of the Dirac structure of the nuclear self-energy in nuclear matter is adopted. The self-energy of a nucleon with E > 0 in nuclear matter is calculated with the G matrix in the Hartree-Fock approach. The optical potential of a nucleon in the nuclear medium is identified with the nucleon self-energy. The energy and asymmetric parameter dependence of the relativistic optical potentials for proton and neutron are discussed. The resulting Schroedinger equivalent potentials have reasonable behaviors of the energy dependence. The asymmetric parameter dependence of relativistic optical potentials and Schroedinger potentials are emphasized.

The nuclear shapes of 187,189Tl were investigated theoretically in this work. The total routhian surface (TRS) calculations were performed for N=106 and 108 isotopes of thallium (Z=81). The single-particle energies were obtained from the deformed Woods-Saxon potential, with the Lipkin-Nogami (LN) treatment of pairing. It is found that the collective oblate rotation coexists with the high-K prolate rotation. Superdeformed prolate rotation is included in this calculation.

theoretical calculations of the energy bands in nucleus 102 Zr are carried out by taking the projected shell model approach, which has reproduced the experimental data. In addition, by analyzing band-head energies, corresponding configurations of yrast band, quasi-particle rotational bands and side bands, we have worked out the microscopic formation mechanism of axially symmetric deformation bands: The low-excitation deformation bands are attributed to the high-j intruder states 1g 7/2 and 1h 11/2 in the N=4, 5 shells; the quasi-particles in the orbit v5/2-[532], v3/2+[411] and v3/2+[413] in particular play an important role in the deformation of 102 Zr.

The trixial superdeformed（TSD） rotational states in the odd-odd Lu isotopes are investigated by performing the configuration dependent three dimensional total routhian surface（TRS） calculations with the explicit treatment of the deformation driving effects of the high-j intruder *** fifty low lying TSD bands have been found for these odd-odd nuclei within the excitation energy of 3 MeV above the ND yrast *** configurations of calculated TSD bands have been assigned based on the TRS calculations and the analysis of *** in the rotating *** calculated equihbrium elongation and triaxial deformations for these TSD bands are close toε = 0.4 andγ=20°,respectively,which are the typical quadrupole deformations for the wobbling bands observed in the neighboring odd-even Lu *** detailed comparisons for the calculated TRS and the deformation driving effects of the intruder high-j orbits made between odd-odd Lu nuclei and the odd-even Lu wobbling nuclei result in the similar stability of the TSD shapes,indicating the possibility to observe the wobbling excitation in the former ***,the wobbling mode as an unique signature for the triaxiality has not been discovered in the odd-odd Lu isotopes,but observed in the neighboring nuclei *** explain this puzzle based on the examination of the TSD band structure in odd-odd Lu isotopes,and found that the high level density at the second minimum in the TRS surface is the main reason for the difficulty to discover experimentally the wobbling bands in odd-odd Lu isotopes.

With the hypothesis that all independent degrees of freedom of basic building blocks should be treated equally on the same footing and correlated by a possible maximal symmetry, we arrive at a 4-dimensional space-time unification model. In this model the basic building blocks are Majorana fermions in the spinor repre- sentation of 14-dimensional quantum space-time with a gauge symmetry GM4D = SO(1,3)×SU(32)×U(1)A×SU(3)F. The model leads to new physics including mirror particles of the standard model. It enables us to issue some fundamental questions that include: why our living space-time is 4-dimensional, why parity is not con- served in our world, how the stability of proton is, what the origin of CP violation is and what the dark matter can be.
