THE studies on geology, geochemistry and geophysics of mantle and crust show that there exist distinctvertical and lateral heterogenetics of the composition and structures of lithosphere. Especially, continentallithosphere possesses a complex rheological structure, which is one of the important factors controlling thedeformation and evolution of continent. Recently, the comprehensive studies in china and other countries suggest that the geochemical mapping and provincial division is a reliable method to reveal the heterogenetics, and Pb isotopic compositionhaving strong tectonic and regional characteristics. Therefore, Pb isotopic mapping is a key to revealingthe structure, formation and evolution of the lithosphere. Based on Pb isotopic mapping in South chinacontinent, it has been revealed that there exists a Pb isotopic geochemical steep zone between Yangtzeblock and Cathaysia

The condensates are generally characterized by high maturity,low concentration of steranes and ter-panes biomarkers and low content of non-hydrocarbon fraction. In this case commonly used steranes,terpanes and carbazoles parameters cannot be effectively applied in the reservoir-filling tracing. The hydrogen bond formed by sulfur atom in the dibenzothiophenes (DBTs) results in molecule adsorption and fractionation during oil migration in reservoir. Like carbazoles,total DBTs content decreases with the increasing of oil migration distance. Therefore,a new parameter——total DBTs content is proposed to be used to trace the oil migration orientation and filling pathway. In present study,total DBTs con-tents of condensates and light oils are obtained by adding internal standard——eight deuterium atoms substituted DBT during Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry analysis of aromatic fraction. Except for a few samples with much lower content of non-hydrocarbon fraction,the total DBTs content shows a fine positive correlation with that of carbazoles. Large errors can be caused in the process of pyrrolic nitrogen compounds separation. The application of this new parameter in the Fushan Depression of Beibu Gulf Basin,South china Sea indicates that this parameter is a reliable one to trace filling pathway in condensate reservoirs. Combined with other DBTs-related parameters,such as 4-/1-methydibenzo-thiophene and 2,4-/1,4-dimethyldibenzothiophene,oil migration orientation and filling pathway of the Fushan Depression was determined. The accumulations of Huachang oil field in the Fushan Depres-sion are mainly migrated and charged from northeast to southeast along the Huachang uplift. It can be predicated that the light oil and condensates in the Huachang oil field should be sourced from the source kitchen at the Bailian Sag. It shows that total DBTs content is an effective parameter to tracing oil migration orientation and filling pathway.

Large amounts of data regarding the influence of temperature and pressure on the thermal stability of crude oil have been pub-lished;however,the role of reservoir mediums has received little *** involving oil cracking in the presence of montmorillonite,illite,calcite,quartz and water were conducted in closed gold tubes to investigate the effects of these reservoir mediums on oil *** was done by screening variations in the chemical and stable carbon isotopic components of nC10+ and gasoline-range hydrocarbons(nC8-)present in various *** indicated that reservoir mediums have an active role in oil cracking under experimental *** concentrations of nC10+ in the cracked residues progressively decreased in systems containing oil+water+illite,oil+water+montmorillonite,oil+water,oil+water+quartz and oil+water+*** comparison with the system containing oil+water,our results indicated a retardation effect for oil cracking in systems in the presence of illite and montmorillonite,and an acceleration effect on oil destruction in systems in the presence of calcite and ***10+ became increasingly depleted in 13C in systems with oil+water+illite,oil+water+calcite,oil+water+montmorillonite,oil+water+ quartz and oil+*** obvious correlation was observed between concentrations and stable carbon isotopic components of nC6-nC8 and nC10+ in the individual *** discrepancies in chemical and stable carbon isotopic components of nC6-nC8 and nC10+ in the pyrolyzed residues highlighted the important role of reservoir mediums to control carbon-carbon cleavage of nC10+ and then the isomerization,cyclolization and aromatization reactions;as well as governing the occurrence and thermal destruction of nC6-nC8 under experimental *** research may have critical implications in reconstructing chemical kinetic models for natural oil cracking.

Excesses of 80Kr and 82Kr, produced by secondary neutron capture effects of 79Br and 81Br, were observed in meteorites. Epithermal neutron flux, Jn (30—300 eV), and fast neutron flux, Jn( > 5 MeV), were determined according to reactions of 79Br(n, gb)80Kr, 81Br(n, gb)82Kr, and 24Mg(n, a)21Ne, respectively. Cosmogenic noble gases of several ordinary chondrites fell in china indicate a positive relationship between Jn (30—300 eV)/Jn ( > 5 MeV) ratio and Jn (30—300 eV). This suggests large pre-atmospheric sizes of the meteorites, and a considerable fraction of the secondary neutrons were slowed down to epithermal energy. According to its relationship with Jn (30—300 eV)/Jn ( > 5 MeV) ratio, the pre-atmospheric minimum radii and masses of several chinese chondrites were estimated as below: Zhaodong: 60 cm, 3200 kg; Laochengzhen: 23 cm, 490 kg; Suizhou: 31 cm, 450 kg; Xi Ujimgin: 22 cm, 160 kg; Dongtai: 21 cm, 140 kg.

Two ductile shear zones trending EW and NNE respectively not only controlled the tectonic framework of the northern North china, but also constrained the geody-namic background for gold mineralization in this region. Field observations and microstructural analyses reveal that the EW trending ductile shear zones are mainly contributed to dextral compressional deformation resulting from top-to-the-southeast oblique thrust shearing, whereas the NNE trending ones are genetically related to sinistral strike-slip and extensional faulting. One sample from the former yielded an 40Ar-39Ar plateau age of (219±4) Ma (Bi) and two samples from the latter gave 40Ar-39Ar plateau ages of (116± 2) Ma (Bi) and (127±3) Ma (Bi). These ages provide constraints on the top-to-the-southeast oblique thrusting event occurring in Late Triassic and the sinistral extensional and strike-slip faulting event which occurred in Early Cretaceous.

Nitrous oxide (N2O) and methane (CH4) emissions were measured using a static chamber method in two adjacent plots of freshwater marsh predominated by Calamagrostis angustifolia, one is seasonal waterlogged (SW) and the other without surface water accumulation (NW), in Sanjiang Plain wetland (47°35′N, 133°31′E), northeast china, during 2002-2004. The diurnal and seasonal flux variations of both gases were significantly correlated with 5-cm-soil temperature. The NW marsh is a source of N2O and sink of CH4, while the SW marsh is sink of N2O and source of CH4. Remarkably, we observed a N2O emission peak under Eh of +300 to +100 mV, and CH4 emission peak under Eh of +300 to +400 mV, which indicate additional sources of N2O and CH4 for the freeze-thaw induced emission peaks of N2O and CH4 observed between late July and early August. Further study shows that the additional N2O and CH4 were emitted under the frozen soil after thawing.

THE parallel strike of geochemical steep zones and geophysical gradient zones represent geochemicalboundaries with tectonic hiding and almost no magmatism, but there existed great variation of lithosphereor crustal thickness. Tectonically, these areas were located in the foreland basins of craton margin. Thesegeochemical boundaries were usually associated with the low-temperature mineralization and petroleumgeneration. The Nd, Sr and Pb isotopic evidence indicated that there still existed strong crustal-mantle interaction through fluid activation along deep-seated faults at the craton margin. Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease triggered by genetic, environment or other risk factors such as infection, drugs, stress, moisture, alcohol, and smoking. A major psoriasis susceptibility locus at 6p21.3 has been identified. Further studies found that HLA-DQA1*0201 allele was associated with psoriasis. However, there were few data exploring an association between the environmental factors and susceptibility genes. In this study, the samples of 189 patients with psoriasis and 333 healthy controls were collected with their consent and were carried on analysis through polymerase chain reaction sequence-specific primer (PCR- SSP) method. The proportion of male psoriasis patients engaging in the smoking and alcohol was much higher than that of the control group (P6.91, P<1.0×10–4).

Organic carbon in forest soils of Qingyunsi and Wukesong profiles can be divided into fast and slow components. Δ14C values of these profiles decrease with increasing of depth. The Δ14C values in 30—40 cm depth interval of Wukesong profile are decreasing sharply until a very low value,showing that a strong geological environment change occurred about 1 560 years ago. The 14C apparent ages of Wukesong profile show that the coniferous and broad-leaf mixed forests around Wukesong profile have been developing since 425 a BP, which is consistent with historical documents. The penetrating depths of "bomb 14C" in Qingyunsi and Wukesong profiles are 10 and 20 cm, respectively.
