Dynamic scheduling model of computing resource based on MAS cooperation mechanism

Allocation of grid resources aims at improving resource utility and grid application performance. Currently, the algorithms proposed for this purpose do not fit well the autonomic, dynamic, distributive and heterogeneous features of the grid environment. According to MAS （multi-agent system） cooperation mechanism and market bidding game rules, a model of allocating allocation of grid resources based on market economy is introduced to reveal the relationship between supply and demand. This model can make good use of the studying and negotiating ability of consumers＇ agent and takes full consideration of the consumer＇s behavior, thus rendering the application and allocation of resource of the consumers rational and valid. In the meantime, the utility function of consumer is given; the existence and the uniqueness of Nash equilibrium point in the resource allocation game and the Nash equilibrium solution are discussed. A dynamic game algorithm of allocating grid resources is designed. Experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm diminishes effectively the unnecessary latency, improves significantly the smoothness of response time, the ratio of throughput and resource utility, thus rendering the supply and demand of the whole grid resource reasonable and the overall grid load balanceable.

STABLE OR UNSTABLE CRACK GROWTHSIN THIN ROCK PLATE UNDER COMPRESSION FOR PREDICTING BUCKLING ROCKBURST

Underground cavern opening can cause the surrounding rock tangential compressive stress to raise rapidly. Such high compressive stress increase can result in some original pre-existing cracks growing parallelly to the free surface of the remaining rock. This paper presents a model of crack stable or unstable propagation under compressive stress in thin layers that are separated from the main rock mass due to crack growth. Based on this analysis of flat plate buckling,a rock burst mechanism is presented. Immediate and delayed rock burst mechanism are proposed to explain time dependency in brittle rock sub-critical crack growth under compression. Influence of free surface on the surface-parallel crack growth is also discussed.

Yield Criterial for Layered Rock Mass with Bending Effect

Two simplified yield functions are proposed for the layered rock mass with bending effect on the basis of two different hypotheses’ By being compiled into the FEM program, they are used to evaluate the deformation of a cantilever. The results show the two functions present different properties: one has brittle propertyl the other ductile, and show that they can be combined or singly used to correctly model different kind of deformation of layered rock mass.

THE UNITED METHOD FOR THE CALCULATION OF SEEPAGE CONTROL BY ADOPTING WEIGHTING SOIL LAYER ON THE BACK SIDE OF DIKE

Constructing a weighting soil layer at the downstream toe of dike on layered ground is an effective measure to prevent the foundation from blowout failures. In this paper, a series of differential equations describing the seepage flow in layered dike foundation were established, and a united method combining analytic method with one-dimensional finite difference method was proposed for solving the equations. The case study shows that the results calculated by the united method are considerably identical to the computational results of Finite Element Method (FEM), and the united method is very simple and easy compared to the FEM.

A PRICE-SETTING NEWSVENDOR MODEL UNDER CVAR DECISION CRITERION WITH EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT

In this paper, we consider a newsvendor model in which a risk-averse manager faces a stochastic price-dependent demand in either an additive or a multiplicative form. An emergency purchase option is allowed after the realization of demand to satisfy the units that are short. By adopting Conditional value-at-risk （CVaR） as the decision criterion, we aim to investigate the optimal pricing and ordering decisions, and the effects of parameter changes in such a setting. We provide sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of the optimal policy for both demand models. We perforl~, comparative statics analysis to show how the optimal pricing and ordering decision behaves when changing parameters. We also compare our results with those of the newsvendor with a general utility function and with CVaR criterion under lost sales assumption. Our key results include：（i） For both demand models, the optimal selling price is decreasing in risk aversion. Hence, the optimal price of a risk-averse newsvendor is not greater than the optimal price of a risk-neutral newsvendor. （it） In contrary to the lost sales case, for the multiplicative demand model, the optimal order quantity may not be monotonic in risk aversion. Consequently, the optimal risk-averse order quantity may be lower or higher than the optimal risk- neutral counterpart. （iii） For the additive model, the optimal order quantity is strictly increasing in the emergency purchase price, while for the multiplicative model the optimal order quantity has no such a monotonic property. Some numerical examples are conducted to verify our claims and gain more insights about the risk-averse decision-making behaviors.

Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation for Decision Making of Water Saving Irrigation System

A model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for water saving irrigation system (WSIS) decision making is proposed based on establishing an index system affected by six kinds of basic factors including qualitative and quantitative indexes. The object function of WSIS is set up by using the concept of fuzzy membership degree, it is to transform characteristic vector matrix into unify membership matrix and extending the least square method to the least of weighted distance square. The optimum weighted membership degree and the inferior weighted membership degree are used to solve the object function. This method effective solves the problem of classify for fuzzy attributive indexes and the problem of optimum for the set of different attributive indexes. A case study shows that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is reasonable and effective in decision making for water saving irrigation system planning.

Oncomelania is the middle-parasitizeder of schistosome. The diffusion of Oncomelania with current will lead to the spread of schistosomiasis. River mechanics has been used in this paper. A systematic research with model test is engaged separately on Oncomelania hydrodynamic property. its sensitivity to water depth and velocity. Through this systematic experiment, a new thchnique of intake water without Oncomelania has been discovered. The technique can be widely applied to irrigation engineering.

Multicore and multi-threaded processors have become the norm for modern ***,concurrent programs have become more and more prevalent despite being difficult to write and *** errors are highly likely to appear in concurrent code,conventional error detection methods such as model checking,theorem proving,and code analysis do not scale smoothly to concurrent *** is an indispensable technique for detecting concurrency errors,but it involves a great deal of manual work and is *** paper presents an automatic method for detecting concurrency errors in classes in object-oriented *** method uses a heuristic algorithm to automatically generate test cases that can effectively trigger ***,each test case is executed automatically and a fast method is adopted to identify the actual concurrency error from anomalous run *** have implemented a prototype of the method and applied it to some typical Java *** shows that our method is more effective and faster than previous work.

Cell Evolutionary Algorithm: a New Optimization Method on Ground-State Energy of the Atomic

The purpose of this paper is to present a new general approach to solve ground-state energies of the double-electron systems in a uniform magnetic field, in which the basic element of evolution is the set in the solution space, rather than the point. The paper defines the Cell Evolutionary Algorithm, which implements such a view of the evolution mechanism. First, the optimal set in which the optimal solution may be obtained. Then this approach applies the embedded search method to get the optimal solution. We tested this approach on the atomic structure, and the results show that it can improve not only the efficiency but also the accuracy of the calculations as it relates to this specific problem.
