Objective To investigate the bacteria spectrum isolated from AE-CB/ COPD and the manner of management of AE-CB/COPD in respiratory or internal medicine department in some regions of china. Methods respiratory physicians received questionnaire at randomization just after they managed a patient presenting to outpatient department with AE-CB/ COPD, on general conditions and symptoms of patients, type of examinations, diagnosis, type of antibiotics used and mode of administration. Results of sputum bacteria culture were followed up. Results Amang the1583 AE-CB/COPD, 63. 04% were male and 35.19% were female. 54.6% of them were older than 60 years. 81.87% of the patients produced sputum. Sputum bacteria culture, chest X-ray and chest CT were carried out to 21.3%, 66. 3% and 11. 1% patients, respectively. 355 strains were isolated from patients whose sputum bacteria culture was positive. Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae and Moraxella ca- tarrhalis were the three most isolates. 84. 7% of the 1583 AE-CB/COPD received 1692 times of antibiotic prescribing. The most frequently prescribed antibiotic were B-lactams （51.36% of all antibiotic prescribing）, macrolides （14. 01% ） and quinolones （31.03%）. Much more macrolides were prescribed in the area where mare patients pay the medicines at his own expense than those in the area where more patients share public health service. Conclusion In china, respiratory physicians can reasonably select antibiotics to manage acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis/ chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in pulmonary outpatient department. Sputum culture is done in part of the patients, but susceptibility tests are missing. One issue revealed by the survey is that the list of prescribing medications laid down by government have great influence on antibiotic use.

An efficient BASIC program was established on Apple-Ⅱmicrocomputer with the CHESTAC-35F pulmonary function testing system tocalculate the time-constant histogram from the *** a set of analogousstudies,we confirmed that the recovered time-constant histogram was within onecompartment of the assumed one and that the root of mean square values of theresiduals between the experimental and model volume-time curves was *** healthy adult subjects,the mean value of time-constant histograms(TCx)hadthe variation coefficient 6.6％.The results show that our method is reliable andreproducible,and it can be used for clinical investigation.

目的　探讨急腹症患儿血浆和腹腔液乳酸测定对小儿急腹症鉴别诊断的意义。方法　用乳酸快速测定仪检测 6 1例急腹症患儿 ,其中腹膜炎组 33例 ,包括绞窄性肠梗阻 3例、肠穿孔腹膜炎 7例、阑尾炎穿孔脓肿2 3例 ;非腹膜炎组 2 8例 ,包括单纯性肠梗阻 8例、肠系膜淋巴结炎 7例 ,单纯性或早期化脓性阑尾炎 1 3例。结果　腹膜炎组血浆乳酸值 [(5 .37± 2 .4 0 )mmol/L]明显高于非腹膜炎组 [(3.71± 1 .0 0 )mmol/L ,P 3± 4 .1 7)mmol/L]明显高于非腹膜炎组 [(4 .2 5± 0 .97)mmol/L ,P <0 .0 0 1 ];腹膜炎组腹腔液 -血浆乳酸的差值均≥ 2 .75mmol/L ,非腹膜炎组 <1 .6 5mmol/L ;腹膜炎组的腹腔液乳酸值水平明显高于血浆乳酸值 (P <0 .0 0 1 )。结论　血浆和腹腔液乳酸的快速测定对小儿急腹症的鉴别诊断有重要意义。

＜正＞Polyploidy has long been recognized as a prominent force shaping the evolution of flowering plants. However, the causes of novel variation in polyploids are not well understood. Therefore, a comprehensive survey of global gene expression in response to polyploidy was done by using Arabidopsis thaliana whole genome Affymetrix gene chip （ATH1） to quantify the variations in transcript abundance of 22,810 genes between autotetraploid and diploid Isatis indigotica Fort., which is the same family Cruciferae with Arabidopsis thaliana. The analysis revealed a coordinated induction and suppression of 715 and 251 ploidy-responsive genes in autotetraploid Isatis indigotica Fort., respectively. The functional classification of some of these up-regulated genes indicated their involvement in various metabolic pathways, signal transduction. transcriptional regulation, and development. One of these genes, leucine-rich repeat transmembrane protein kinase 1, was cloned from autotetraploid Isatis indigotica Fort.（designated as IiLtk, GeneBank accession number: DQ211577） and chosen for verification by real-time quantitative RT-PCR. A significant increase in expression was confirmed, consistent with the microarray chip data. This study is an exploratory analysis of autopolyploidy-induced changes in gene expression of the entire genome of Isatis indigotica *** to biochemical processes. The results enhance our knowledge about molecular processes associated with autopolyploidy.

Objective To describe the ocular complications of 62 patients with active atopic dermatitis (AD) during the period of 2003 2006. Methods Routine ophthalmic examinations, including slit-lamp microscope, indirect ophthalmoscope or Goldmann three-mirror lens, A-scan and B-scan ultrasound, ultrasound biomicroscope (UBM) and corneal topography, as well as tear film break-up time (BUT) and Schirmer tests were carried out. Results Cataract (28 eyes), keratoconjunctivitis (42 eyes), superficial punctate keratopathy (45 eyes) and tear function abnormality (76 eyes) were major ocular complications in AD patients. Retinal detachment (6 eyes) was the most severe ocular complication in the AD patients. Conclusion Ocular complications are common in AD patients and a very careful examination of eyes is essential in treating AD patients. If the eyes can be examed carefully and in time, some operations and severe complications can be avoidable, especially for the patients with retinal breaks or retinal detachment.
