Brg-or hBrm-associated factor (BAF) complexes,a chromatin-remodeling complex family ofmammalian cells,facilitate transcriptional activity by remodeling nucleosome ***1 is the coresubunit of Brg-associated factor *** the present study,we investigated the spatial relationshipbetween Brg1 and nuclear factor 1 (NF1/CTF) and RNA polymerase Ⅱ (RNAP Ⅱ) upon gene transcriptionalactivation in vivo by employing immuno-gold *** data showed that Brg1 was closely co-localizedwith NF1/CTF and RNAP Ⅱ in HeLa ***,the co-immunoprecipitation assay further revealedthat Brg1 can be isolated together with NF1/CTF and RNAP Ⅱ in the ConA-stimulated,but not the resting,T *** combined results suggested that BAF complexes can interact with NF1/CTF and RNAPⅡ,and this interaction is closely dependent on the activation of gene transcription.

Aim:The interactions of selectins and their ligands initiate the process of leuko-cyte migrating into inflamed tissue.P-selectin glycoprotein ligand 1 （PSGL-1） isthe best characterized ligand of selectins,and has been demonstrated to mediatethe adhesion of leukocytes to all three selectins in ***-1 not only func-tions as an anchor molecule to capture the leukocytes to the activated endothelialcells by its interaction with selectins,but also transduces the signals to *** present work aimed to investigate the mechanism by whichPSGL-1-mediated signal activates neutrophils and enhances the adhesion to theendothelial ***:We detected the effects of the engagement of PSGL-1with monoclonal antibodies （mAb） or P-selectin on the adhesion of neutrophils tothe recombinant intercellular adhesion molecule-1 （ICAM-1）,and on the expres-sion of β***,the role of cytoskeleton in these process wasstudied by using inhibitor cytochalasin ***:The engagement of PSGL-Iincreased the expression of β2-integrin on the surface of neutrophils and en-hanced the adhesion of neutrophils to the recombinant *** againstCD18 impaired the adhesion of PSGL-1-engaged neutrophils to ***,the inhibitor cytochalasin B largely blocked the increase of CD 18 expression aswell as the adhesion of PSGL-1-engaged neutrophils to ***:The PSGL-1-transduced signals can enhance β2-integrin-involved adhesion ofneutrophils to the recombinant ICAM-1,and this process depends on the dynam-ics of cytoskeleton.

The nuclei and chromosomes were isolated from plasmodia of Physarum polycephalum. The nuclear matrir and chromosome scaffold were obtained after the DNA and most of the proteins were extracted with DNase I and 2 M NaCl. SDS-PAGE analyses revealed that the nuclear matrir and chromosome scaffold contained a 37 kD polypeptide which is equivalent to tropomyosin in molecular weight. Immunofluorescence observations upon slide preparations labeled with anti-tropomyosin antibody showed that the nuclear matrix and chromosome scaffold emanated bright fluorescence, suggesting the presence of the antigen in *** results confirmed the presence of tropomyosin in the nuclear matrix and chromosome scaffold. Immunoelectron microscopic obserwtions further demonstrated that tropomyosin was dispersively distributed in the interphase nuclei and metaphase chromosomes.

hreekinds of chelating cellulose filters were prepared and ten trace elements were preconcentrated simultaneously on the microcolumn that was filled with the chelating cellulose filters. Alkali and alkaline earth metal ions were quantitatively separated as matrix elements at the selected pH values. The microcolumn has high enrichment factors and recoveries.

PP1, PP2A and PP2B, belonging to the PPP family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases, participate in regulating many important physiological processes, such as cell cycle control, regulation of cell growth and division regulation, etc. The sequence homology between them is relatively high, and ter- tiary structure is conserved. Because of the complexity of the structure of PP2A and the diversity of its regulatory subunits, its structure is less well known than those of PP1 and PP2B. The PP2A holoen- zyme consists of a heterodimeric core enzyme, comprising a scaffolding subunit and a catalytic sub- unit, as well as a variable regulatory subunit. In this study, the subunit compositions, similarities and differences between the Ser/Thr protein phsphatases structures are summarized.

Decolourization of Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R by immobilized cells of Aspergillus ficuum

Aspergillus ficuum was immobilized with sodium alginate, and decolourization of Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R was studied on immobilized and free Aspergillus ficuum. The optimal preparation condition of the strain immobilization was obtained by the orthogonal test, it is sodium alginate 3%, CaCl_2 5%, wet mycelia 30 g/L, calcific time 8 h. It was found that the immobilized cells could effectively decolourize Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R, the optimum temperature and pH were 33℃ and 5.0, respectively. The kinetics study of decolourization of immobilized cells showed that the decolourization of Aspergillus ficuum immobilized conformed to zero-order reaction model. The decolourization efficiency of immobilized cell compared with that of free cell in different physical conditions. Results showed that the decolourization of immobilized cells with mycelia had the best efficiency. The immobilized cells could be reused after the first decolourization.

A high performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrome try（HPLC-ESI-MS/MS） method was developed for the analysis and identification of ginsenosides in the extracts of raw Panax ginseng（RPG） and steamed Panax ginseng at high temperatures（SPGHT）. A total of 25 ginsenosides were extracted include of which 10 low-polar ginsenosides, such as ginsenosides F4, Rk3, Rh4, 20S-Rg3, 20R-Rg3 and so on, were identified according to their HPLC retention time and MS/MS data. The results indicated that the low polar ginsenosides were seldom found in RPG. For the exploration of the transformation pattern of the ginsenosides in steam processing, the standards of ginsenosides Re, Rg1, Rb1, Rc, Rb2, Rb3 and Rd were selected and hydrolyzed at a temperature of 120 oC. The results show that these polar ginsenosides can be converted to low-polar ginsenosides such as Rg2, Rg6, F4, Rk3 and Rg5 by hydrolyzing the sugar chains.

In general, many pollutants co\|exist in natural aquatic ecosystems. They affect each other and occur different results, such as synergism, addition and antagonism. So the research at mixtoxicity of contaminants to aquatic organism is more important than monotoxicity. In this paper, 50% effectual inhibition concentration 48h \%EC\%\-\{50\} values of 6 kinds of nitroaromatic compounds to the green algae, \%Scenedesmus obliquus,\% were investigated. Mixtoxic experiments, in which any combination of 2,4\|DNT and other 6 kinds of compounds, indicate: (1) synergisms between 2,4\|DNT and 4\|NAn, as well as 4\|NAnis, 1,4\|DNB; (2) antagonisms between 2,4\|DNT and 4\|NT, as well as 4\|NPh, 4\|NCB.
