A semi-empirical molecular dynamics model is developed. The central collisions of C60+C60 and He@C60+He@C60 at different incident energies are investigated based on this model. It is found that the dimer structures have been produced at proper incident energies and these fullerene dimers could be formed by a self-assembly of C60 fullerene and He@C60. The He atom has a significant effect at higher incident energy and this embedded He atom can enhance the stability of the dimer structure.

The probability of the last proton being out of the binding potential, P and the root-mean-square (rms) ra- dius (2.1/2. of the third excited state in 2.Na are calcu- lated by means of asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) method with the experimental date existing. The results are P=54.73% and 2.1/2.5.2. fm respectively. The P value and the contribution of the asymptotic part to the 2.1/2.are compared with those of several other low energy states in 2.Na. It is found that the valence particle in the third excited state has an obvious larger P than those of other states. The density distribution of the valence proton in this state is also compared with the nucleons in the nuclear core 2.Ne, and a far extended tail can be seen clearly. These results show that the third ex- cited state in 2.Na is a proton halo state.

This paper analyzes the seismicity in Bohai Sea,introducing a shape factor K to characterize the seismic risk distribution in sub-regions of the sea. Based on the seismic design ground motions for 46 platforms located in the Bohai Sea,a statistical analysis was performed for different peak ground acceleration (PGA) ratios at two different probability levels. In accordance with the two-stage design method,a scheme of two seismic design levels is proposed,and two seismic design objectives are established respectively for the strength level earthquake and the ductility level earthquake. By analogy with and comparison to the Chinese seismic design code for buildings,it is proposed that the probability level for the strength level earthquake and ductility level earthquake have a return period of 2.0 and 1000 - 2.00 years,respectively. The validity of these proposed values is discussed. Finally,the PGAs corresponding to these two probability levels are calculated for different sub-regions of the Bohai Sea.

This paper addresses pre-LOI (before Lissajous orbit insertion) trajectory maneuvers for the libration point mission of CHANG'E-2.which is the first Chinese satellite to fly to the Sun-Earth L2.libration point and the first satellite ever to fly to the L2.point from lunar ***,a transfer trajectory for the mission is designed based on InterPlanetary Superhighway theory under the constraint of the remaining propellant,TT&C (telemetry,track and command) and sunlight *** effects of trajectory maneuver errors on the mission are also ***,based on the analysis results,the article investigates the trajectory maneuver schemes for the lunar escape and transfer trajectory maneuvers employing mathematical models and operational *** mission status based on our maneuver schemes is then presented,and the results of control operation and corresponding analysis are provided in ***,the future trajectory maneuver in the Lissajous orbit is *** to the analysis of the CHANG'E-2.TT&C data,the trajectory maneuver schemes proposed in the article work properly and efficiently.

Based on the Indian and Chinese precipitation data and the NCEP-NCAR reanalysis circulation data, the relationship between the Indian summer monsoon (ISM) onset and the Meiyu over the Yangtze River Valley has been discussed by the methods of correlation analysis and composite analysis. The results show that the date of ISM onset over Kerala in the southwestern coast of the Indian Peninsula is about two weeks earlier than the beginning of the Meiyu over the Yangtze River Valley. After the outbreak of ISM, the teleconnection mode sets up from the western coast of India via the Bay of Bengal (BOB) to the Yangtze River Valley and southern Japan. It is different both in time and space from the telecon- nection mode which is from the northwest of India via the Tibetan Plateau to northern china. The for- mer mode is defined as the "south" teleconnection of the Asian summer monsoon, forming in the pe- riod of ISM onset; while the latter mode is called the "north" teleconnection, mainly occurring in the Asian monsoon culminant period. During the process of the "south" teleconnection’s formation, the Asian monsoon circulation has experienced a series of important changes: ISM onset, the northward movement of the south Asia high (SAH), the onset vortex occurrence, the eastward extension of the stronger tropical westerly belt, and the northeastward jump of the western Pacific subtropical high (WPSH), etc. Consequently, since ISM sets up over Kerala, the whole Asian continent is covered by the upper SAH after about two weeks, while in the mid- and lower troposphere, a strong wind belt forms from the Arabian Sea via the southern India, BOB and the South china Sea (SCS), then along the western flank of WPSH, to the Yangtze River Valley and southern Japan. With the northward moving of the subtropical jet streams, the upper westerly jet stream and the low level jet have been coupled ver- tically over east Asia, while the Yangtze River Valley happens to locate in the ascending motion

A 6-year long GPS observation (1998—2.03) indicates that crustal deformation in the Three Gorges area is less active at a marginally measurable rate of 0—5 mm/a relative to stable South china block. However, the impounding water in June 2.03 has induced transient displacement at the Three Gorges dam and the emerging reservoir. GPS measurements after the first stage of water filling of the reservoir demonstrate that vertical subsidence close by Yangtze River is about 10—40 mm, and the horizontal displacement is less than 5—10 mm. The maximum subsidence induced by the impoundment is located in the segment of the reservoir from Maoping to Xiangxi. The water loading-induced deformation diminishes rapidly with the distance from banks of the reservoir. The overall pattern of transient deformation is consistent with the simulation result of Farrell, and is attributed to the elastic response of upper lithosphere crust to overlying water reservoir.

In this study an integrated decision method for the multi-prediction results of tropical cyclone movements by using genetic algorithm (GA) has been adopted. A genetic learning artifi- cial neural network (GLANN) as a learning mechanism for track prediction was developed through training with the huge samples of typhoon tracks from 1884 to 2.02. The prediction of typhoon motion is to consider how to suit the dynamic change of environment, where typhoon passed through. The neural network structure is described by GA. A fitness function for choice of GA is given to approach the maximum of fitness (the minimum of the errors). Parallel comparing analyses for prediction abilities of unusual typhoon tracks in recent years by GLANN with multi-forecast methods were conducted. More types of cases were employed in the comparing analyses, which consist of the typhoon, Winnie, No.11, in 1997, characterized by a long life over the ocean and in the mainland with severe effect on china, the 10 unusual typhoon tracks in the 1990s, the tracks with landfall and affected action in 1998 and the typhoons born in the Northwestern Pacific and the South china Sea in 2.00, including the 2.—48 h forecast, etc. The results indicated that for prediction ability of typhoon tracks, specially for unusual typhoons, GA decision-making developed in this study is superior to the others.

The Songshugou dunite body, which occupies an area of about 2. km2. is the largest ultramafic massif in the eastern Qinling orogenic belt, Central china. The major compo-nent of this body is dunitic rocks including mylonitic dunite and coarse-grained dunite; they oc-cupy about 95 vol% of the total body. Petrography, mineral composition, major and trace ele-ments and primitive melt inclusions have been investigated in this paper; all revealed that this dunite body is the product of melt-rock interaction by porous percolation flow. In comparison with dunite sills or veins in harzburgite from the basal part of Oman ophiolite, this dunite body is characterized by lower contents of Al2.3, CaO and HREE but higher content of highly incom-patible elements and Zr and Hf. The LREE enriched patterns and primitive mantle normalized spidergrams of trace elements are also different from the Oman dunite. Combining with melt in-clusions observed in olivines, we conclude that this dunite body is the product of large- scale porous percolation flow of high-MgO melts within depleted mantle peridotites. The high-MgO magma, in essence, was most probably produced at the hot head of an upwelling mantle plume. The occurrence of the Songshugou dunite body is closely associated with the activity of mantle super-plume in Neo-Proterozoic era in the Yangtze Craton.
