OBJECTIVE:To observe the analgesic effects of Tuina on neuropathic pain(NPP)and the underlying ***:Forty-eight Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were assigned by random into three treatment groups:sham,chronic constriction injury(CCI),and *** group contained sixteen *** model was generated by ligating the right sciatic *** changes of CCI were assessed by the paw withdrawal threshold(PWT)and paw withdrawal latency(PWL).In addition,biochemical techniques such as immunofluorescence staining,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and Western blotting were used to profile levels of microglia activation and inflammatory factors in the spinal dorsal horn(SDH)of ***(clockwise pressing and rubbing)was performed at Chengshan(BL57)to observe the analgesic effects on CCI rats and the underlying ***:Rats with CCI experienced significant reduction in the PWT and PWL of the right hind paw relative to CCI group at day *** treatment rescued this situation significantly on days 10 and ***,Iba-1,microglia M1 receptor CD68,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)were higher in the right SDH for CCI group compared to the sham group on day *** expected,Tuina partially downregulated the CCI-induced overexpressed Iba-1,CD68,TNF-α,and IL-1βin the SDH of CCI ***:Tuina induces a time-dependent cumulative analgesic effect in CCI rats by inhibiting the activation of microglia and the secretion of IL-1βand TNF-αin SDH.

The structure of L*-inverse semigroups

The concepts of L*-inverse semigroups and left wreath products of semigroups are introduced. It is shown that the L*-inverse semigroup can be described as the left wreath product of a type A semigroupΓand a left regular band B together with a mapping which maps the semigroupΓinto the endomorphism semigroup End(B). This result generalizes the structure theorem of Yamada for the left inverse semigroups in the class of regular semigroups. We shall also provide a constructed example for the L*-inverse semigroups by using the left wreath products.

Fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))and ozone(O_(3))double high pollution(DHP)events have occurred frequently over china in recent years,but their causes are not completely *** this study,the spatiotemporal distribution of DHP events in china during 2013–20 is *** synoptic types affecting DHP events are identified with the Lamb–Jenkinson circulation classification *** meteorological and chemical causes of DHP events controlled by the main synoptic types are further *** show that DHP events(1655 in total for china during 2013–20)mainly occur over the North china Plain,Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta,Sichuan Basin,and Central *** occurrence frequency increases by 5.1%during 2013–15,and then decreases by 56.1%during 2015–*** main circulation types of DHP events are“cyclone”and“anticyclone”,accounting for over 4.%of all DHP events over five main polluted regions in china,followed by southerly or easterly flat airflow types,like“southeast”,“southwest”,and“east”.Compared with non-DHP events,DHP events are characterized by static or weak wind,high temperature(20.9℃ versus 23.1℃)and low humidity(70.0%versus 64.9%).The diurnal cycles of meteorological conditions cause PM_(2.5)(0300–1200 LST,Local Standard Time=UTC+8 hours)and O_(3)(1500–2100 LST)to exceed the national standards at different periods of the DHP *** pollutant conversion indices further indicate the rapid secondary conversions during DHP events,and thus the concentrations of NO_(2),SO_(2) and volatile organic compounds decrease by 13.1%,4.7%and 4.4.,*** results of this study can be informative for future decisions on the management of DHP events.

AGTR1 A1166C gene polymorphism is associated with the effectiveness of valsartan monotherapy in Chinese patients with essential hypertension:A retrospective analysis

Objective:To investigate whether angiotensinⅡtype 1 receptor(AGTR1 A1166C)gene polymorphism was associated with the effectiveness of valsartan monotherapy in Chinese patients with essential ***:This retrospective analysis included 198 patients(≥18 years of age)who received valsartan monotherapy(80 mg/day)for newly developed essential hypertension at the authors’center between January 1,2020 and December 31,*** for AGTR1 A1166C gene polymorphism was done by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-melting curve analysis of genomic DNA from peripheral blood samples.A dominant genetic model for AGTR1 A1166C(AA genotype versus AC+CC genotype)was *** regression analysis of baseline variables and AGTR1 polymorphism was conducted to identify predictors of target blood pressure attainment(4./90 mmHg)at the 4.week ***:The median age of the 198 patients was(53.7±13.5)years,and 58%were *** assays showed that 164.patients had the AA genotype,and 34.patients were of the AC/CC genotype,including 30 with the AC genotype and 4.with the CC *** distribution was consistent with Hardy Weinberg equilibrium.109 Patients(55.1%)attained the blood pressure *** analysis showed that smoking(versus no smoking,HR 0.314.95%CI 0.159-0.619,P=0.001)and AGTR1 A1166C AA genotype(versus AC/CC,HR 2.927,95%CI 1.296-6.611,P=0.023)were significant and independent predictors of target attainment.25 Patients(73.5%)with AGTR1 A1166C AC/CC genotype attained the target versus 51.2%(51/164.of patients with AGTR1 A1166C AA genotype(P=0.017).Patients with AGTR1 A1166C AC/CC genotype had a significantly greater reduction in systolic blood pressure[(33.1±10.8)mmHg versus(29.2±11.7)mmHg in AA carriers;(P=0.029)].Conclusions:Hypertensive patients carrying one or two C alleles of the AGTR1 A1166C gene were more responsive to valsartan treatment.

Water-saving irrigation strategies can successfully alleviate methane emissions from rice fields,but significantly stimulate nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)emissions because of variations in soil oxygen level and redox ***,the relationship linking soil N_(2)O emissions to nitrogen functional genes during various fertilization treatments in water-saving paddy fields has rarely been ***,the mitigation potential of organic fertilizer substitution on N_(2)O emissions and the microbial mechanism in rice fields must be further *** study examined how soil N_(2)O emissions were affected by related functional microorganisms(ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA),ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB),nirS,nirK and nosZ)to various fertilization treatments in a rice field in southeast china over two *** this study,three fertilization regimes were applied to rice cultivation:a no nitrogen(N)(Control),an inorganic N(Ni),and an inorganic N with partial N substitution with organic manure(N_(i)+N_(o)).Over two rice-growing seasons,cumulative N_(2)O emissions averaged 0.4.,4.62 and 4.08 kg ha^(−1)for the Control,Ni and N_(i)+N_(o)treatments,*** comparison to the Ni treatment,the N_(i)+N_(o)fertilization regime considerably reduced soil N_(2)O emissions by 11.6%while maintaining rice yield,with a lower N_(2)O emission factor(EF)from fertilizer N of 0.95%.Nitrogen fertilization considerably raised the AOB,nirS,nirK and nosZ gene abundances,in comparison to the Control ***,the substitution of organic manure for inorganic N fertilizer significantly decreased AOB and nirS gene abundances and increased nosZ gene *** AOB responded to N fertilization more sensitively than the *** N_(2)O emissions significantly correlated positively with AOB and nirS gene abundances while having a negative correlation with nosZ gene abundance and the nosZ/nirS ratio across N-fertilized *** summary,we conclude that organic manure substi

BACKGROUND Acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding is a common medical emergency that has a 10%hospital mortality *** to the etiology,this disease can be divided into acute varicose veins and nonvaricose *** from esophageal varices is a life-threatening complication of portal *** hypertension is a clinical syndrome defined as a portal venous pressure that exceeds 10 *** is the most common cause of portal hypertension,and thrombosis of the portal system not associated with liver cirrhosis is the second most common cause of portal hypertension in the Western *** myeloproliferative disorders are the main cause of portal venous thrombosis,and somatic mutations in the Janus kinase 2 gene(JAK2 V617F)can be found in approximately 90% of polycythemia vera,50% of essential thrombocyrosis and 50% of primary *** SUMMARY We present a rare case of primary myelofibrosis with gastrointestinal bleeding as the primary manifestation that presented as portal-superior-splenic mesenteric vein *** blood tests revealed the presence of the JAK2 V617F *** marrow biopsy ultimately confirmed the diagnosis of myelofibrosis(MF-2 grade).CONCLUSION In patients with acute esophageal variceal bleeding due to portal hypertension and vein thrombosis without cirrhosis,the possibility of myeloproliferative neoplasms should be considered,and the JAK2 mutation test should be performed.

Background:The application of Pringle maneuver(PM)during hepatectomy reduces intraoperative blood loss and the need for perioperative transfusion,but its effect on long-term recurrence and survival for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remains *** sought to determine the association between the application of PM and post-hepatectomy oncologic outcomes for patients with ***:Patients who underwent curative hepatectomy for HCC at 9 Chinese hospitals from January 2010 to December 2018 were *** two propensity score methods[propensity score matching(PSM)and inverse probability of treatment weight(IPTW)],cumulative recurrence rate and cancer-specific mortality(CSM)were compared between the patients in the PM and non-PM *** competing-risks regression models were performed to adjust for the effect of non-cancer-specific mortality and other prognostic risk ***:Of the 2,798 included patients,2,4.4.and 394.did and did not adopt PM(the PM and non-PM groups),*** rates of intraoperative blood transfusion,postoperative 30-day mortality and morbidity were comparable between the two groups(all P>0.05).In the PSM cohort by the 1:3 ratio,compared to 382 patients in the non-PM group,1,14. patients in the PM group also had the higher cumulative 5-year recurrence rate and CSM(63.9%and 39.1%vs.55.3%and 31.6%,both P3 in the PSM cohort,and HR 0.80 and 0.76 in the IPTW cohort,respectively].Conclusions:The findings suggested that no application of PM during hepatectomy for patients with HCC reduced the risk of postoperative recurrence and cancer-specific death by appr

FREE-SURFACE WAVES AND FAR WAKES GENERATED BY A FLOATING BODY IN A VISCOUS FLUID

The free-surface waves and the flow field due to a body moving on the surfaceof an incompressible viscous fluid of infinite depth were studied analytically. The floating bodywas modeled as a normal point pressure on the free surface. Based on the Oseen approximation forgoverning equations and the linearity assumption for boundary conditions, the exact solutions inintegral form for the free-surface elevation, the velocities and the pressure were given. Byemploying Lighthill's two-stage scheme, the asymptotic representations in far field for largeReynolds numbers were derived explicitly. The effect of viscosity on the wave profiles was expressedby an exponential decay factor, which removes the singular behavior predicted by the potentialtheory.
