Cosmic hydrogen is reionized and maintained in its highly ionized state by the ultraviolet emission attributed to an early generation of stars and quasars. The Lyα opacity observed in absorption spectra of high-redshift quasars permits more stringent constraints on the ionization state of cosmic hydrogen. Based on density perturbation and structure formation theory, we develop an analytic model to trace the evolution of the ionization state in the post-overlap epoch of reionization, in which the bias factor is taken into account. For quasars, we represent an improved luminosity function by utilizing a hybrid approach for the halo formation rate that is in reasonable agreement with the published measurements at 2.≤ z ≤ 6. Comparison with the classic Press-Schechter mass function of dark matter halos, we demonstrate that the biased mass distribution indeed enhances star formation efficiency in the overdense environment by more than 2. per cent following the overlap of ionized bubbles. In addition, an alternative way is introduced to derive robust estimates of the mean free path for ionizing photons. In our model, star-forming galaxies are likely to dominate the ionizing background radiation beyond z = 3, and quasars contribute equally above a redshift of z ～ 2.5. From 5 ≤ z ≤ 6, the lack of evolution in photoionization rate can thus be explained by the relatively flat evolution in star formation efficiency, although the mean free path of ionizing photons increases rapidly. Moreover, in the redshift interval z ～ 2.- 6, the expected mean free path and Gunn-Peterson optical depth obviously evolve by a factor of ～ 500 and ～50 respectively. We find that the relative values of critical overdensities for hydrogen ionization and collapse could be 430% at z ≈2.and 2. at z ≈6, suggesting a rapid overlap process in the overdense regions around instant quasars following reionization. Sea level variations(SLVs) can be divided into two major components:the steric SLV and the mass-induced *** two components of SLV in the South china Sea(SCS) are studied by using satellite altimetry,GRACE(Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) satellite gravity,and oceanographic data on annual and inter-annual *** the annual timescale,the geographic distribution of mass-induced SLV's amplitude jointly estimated from altimetry and the ECCO(Estimation of the Circulation and Climate of the Ocean) model agrees very well with that from *** observes obvious seasonal mass-induced SLV in the SCS with annual amplitude of 2.7±0.4 cm,which is consistent with the annual amplitude of 2.7±0.3 cm estimated from the steric-corrected *** the inter-annual timescales,the mean SLV in the SCS shows a large oscillation,which is mainly caused by the steric *** trend of mean SLV inferred from altimetry in the SCS is 5.5±0.7 mm/yr for the period of 1993-2.09,which is significantly higher than the global sea level rise rate of 3.3±0.4 mm/yr in the same *** is no obvious trend signal in the mass-induced SLV detected from GRACE that indicates the water exchange between the SCS and its adjacent seas and land is in balance within the study period.

Eclogites have been recently reported in the interior of the Tibetan Plateau, including in the central Qiangtang metamorphic belt, in the Basu metamorphic massif of the eastern Bangong-Nujiang suture zone, and at Songdo and Pengco in the eastern Lhasa terrane. Some typical ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic phenomena, e.g., garnet exsolution from clinopyroxene, were documented in the Basu and Pengco eclogites. The UHP metamorphism in the interior of the Tibetan Plateau marked by these eclogites generally took place in the Early Mesozoic. Along with exhumation of these eclogites, (post-) collision-related magmatism extensively occurred around the central Qiangtang belt, the eastern Ban-gong-Nujiang suture zone, and the eastern Lhasa terrane. The occurrence of these Early Mesozoic ec-logites manifests an out-of-sequence evolution of the Tethys, and they could be a product of diachro-nous collision between the eastern Qiangtang terrane and the irregular continental margin of the united western Qiangtang-Lhasa plate, along the linked eastern Bangong-Nujiang-central Qiangtang zone. The collision-related magmatic rocks could have been originated from lithospheric thickening, melting, or detachment due to the collision. The presence of UHP metamorphic rocks in central Qiangtang and Basu implies likely continental deep-subduction, and the denudation of these two metamorphic zones could have served as the source of the Triassic turbidites in the Songpan-Garzê complex and the Ju-rassic turbidites in the western Bangong-Nujiang zone, respectively. However, studies of the eclogites in the interior of the Tibetan Plateau just began, and many principal aspects still remain to be explored, such as their distributions, typical lithologies and minerals, temperature-pressure conditions, timing of formation and exhumation, protoliths and tectonic setting, and relationship with the evolution of the Tethys and large-scale basins in Tibet.

The buildings and structures of mines were monitored automatically using modern surveying technology. Through the analysis of the monitoring data, the deformation characteristics were found out from three aspects containing points, lines and regions, which play an important role in understanding the stable state of buildings and structures. The stability and deformation of monitoring points were analysed, and time-series data of monitoring points were denoised with wavelet analysis and Kalman filtering, and exponent function and periodic function were used to get the ideal deformation trend model of monitoring points. Through calculating the monitoring data obtained, analyzing the deformation trend, and cognizing the deformation regularity, it can better service mine safety production and decision-making.

The SST(Space Solar Telescope) is an astronomical telescope with a primary mirror of 1 m in *** observes the sun with a small view field to ensure that its high spatial resolution imaging has 0.1″-0.15″ and high SNR(signal to noise ratio).Surrounding the small view field is still the sun,which is an intense source of both heat and stray *** baffles(the main baffle,the aperture,and the outer baffle),which are used to eliminate the stray light,will change the thermal flux in the SST and will weaken the effect of the thermal control *** this study,the compatibility analysis of the thermal effect of baffle structures in SST is *** GCF(Geometry Composing Function) and BRDF(Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function),which are two inherent related parameters in the compatibility analysis,are *** objective and method of the compatibility analysis are *** the thermal analysis software,the temperature fields are calculated for different lengths of the main baffle,different radii of apertures,different lengths of the outer baffle with a 3' tilt angle and 16' tilt angle,and different tilt angles of the outer baffle with a 2.0 mm length.A series of configurations and sizes of the baffles are studied with the goals of both thermal control and elimination of stray *** design of the baffle structure of SST is achieved:the main baffle of length 4100 mm,the internal shield of radius 494 mm,the outer baffle of length 2.0 mm,and the outer baffle of tilt angle 3' are successfully *** paper presents the relationship between the thermal control design and stray light elimination plan in the *** aims of the optimal design of the baffle structure of SST are *** thoughts and methods of the optimal analysis are also useful for similar optical telescopes designed for solar observation.

A sample consisting of 2.1 narrow line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s) with high quality spectra from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) is selected to explore where broad line regions are in these objects. We find that the Hβ profile can be fitted well by three (narrow, intermediate and broad) Gaussian components, and the FWHM ratios of the broad to the intermediate components hold a constant of 3.0 roughly for the entire sample. If the broad components originate from the region scaled by the well-determined Hβ reverberation mapping relation, we find that the intermediate components originate from the inner edge of the torus, which is scaled by dust K-band reverberation. We find that the IC and the BC are strongly linked dynamically, but the relation of their covering factors is much more relaxed, implying that both regions are clumpy.

Molar ratios of Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca were measured in two species of ostracod shells preserved in the upper core (15–55 m) of the Hequing Basin in Yunnan Province, southwest china. By correlating the molar ratios between Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca and comparing them with Sr concentrations of the sediments, we suggested that: (1) the molar Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca ratio variations in respective ostracod primo reflected the changes in its ambient water composition and ecology; (2. the molar Sr/Ca ratios responded better to the salinity change linearly than Mg/Ca without aragonite precipitation in the system, and otherwise there was no linear relation between them; and (3) the molar Sr/Ca ratios were mainly controlled by salinity and authigenic carbonate precipitation, whereas the molar Mg/Ca ratios were related to both salinity and temperature. In fact, the rate of ostracod growth owing to temperature controls the fluctuation of Mg/Ca in shells. Here, more attentions should be paid to the constraint of authigenic mineral precipitation processes on the trace elements in ostracod shells and to the correlation between these trace elements in biogenic carbonates and compositions of the sediments in systems and in future in vitro experiments.
