Unveil the Redox Evolution of Ore-forming Fluids using Sulfur Isotope:A Case Study of the Zhengguang Intermediate Sulfidation Epithermal Au-Zn Deposit,NE China

Oxygen fugacity(fO_(2))is a key intensity variable during the entire magmatic-hydrothermal mineralization *** redox state and its variations between different stages of the ore-forming fluids of intermediate sulfidation epithermal deposits are rarely deciphered due to the lack of appropriate approaches to determine fO_(2)of the ***,we reported theδ^(34)S of the sulfides from three different stages(stageⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ)of Zhengguang,an Early Ordovician Au-rich intermediate sulfidation(IS)epithermal deposit,to decipher the redox evolution of the ore-forming *** increasingδ^(34)S values from stageⅠpyrite(pyl,average-2.6‰)through py2(average-1.9‰)to py3(average-0.2‰)indicates a decrease of the oxygen fugacity of the ore-forming fluids.A compilation ofδ^(34)S values of sulfides from two subtypes of IS deposits(Au-rich and Ag-rich)from NE China shows that theδ^(34)S values of sulfides from Au-rich IS deposits are systematically lighter than those of Ag-rich IS Ag-Pb-Zn deposit,indicating the ore-forming fluids of the former are more oxidized than the *** highlight that sulfur isotopic composition of hypogene sulfides is an efficacious proxy to fingerprint the oxygen fugacity fluctuations of epithermal deposits and could potentially be used to distinguish the subtypes of IS deposits.

Electrical conductivity(EC)of soil-water extracts is commonly used to assess soil ***,its conversion to the EC of saturated soil paste extracts(ECe),the standard measure of soil salinity,is currently required for practical *** many regression models can be used to obtain ECe from the EC of soil-water extracts,the application of a site-specific model to different sites is not straightforward due to confounding soil factors such as soil *** study was conducted to develop a universal regression model to estimate a conversion factor(CF)for predicting EC_(e) from EC of soil-water extracts at a 1:5 ratio(EC_(1:5)),by employing a site-specific soil texture(i.e.,sand content).A regression model,CF=8.9105e^(0.0106sand)/1.2984(r^(2)=0.97,P3)and laboratory experiments using artificial saline soils with different textures(n=6,sand content=10%-65%)and salinity levels(n=7,salinity=1-24 dS m^(-1)).Model performance was validated using an independent dataset and demonstrated that EC_(e) prediction using the developed model is more suitable for highly saline soils than for low saline *** feasibility of the regression model should be tested at other *** soil factors affecting EC conversion factor also need to be explored to revise and improve the model through further studies.

First-principles simulation and experimental evidence for improvement of transmittance in ZnO films

ZnO/Ag/Glass films were prepared by a DC magnetron sputtering system,which exhibit both excellent properties of high conductivity and high ***,an enhancement of transmission of ZnO films was observed after brought into contact to a silver layer,but the understanding of experimental findings for the enhancement of transmission was ***,the first-principles simulations of electrical and optical properties were utilized using the density functional theory with local-density approximations or generalized-gradient *** crystal structure of ZnO or Ag was imported from the Material Studio *** periodic supercell has the same atomic ratio with the experimental structure and was optimized using the CASTEP package in Material *** to the calculation results,the enhancement in transmission is attributed to the surface plasmon polariton in the asymmetric structure films.

Hemodynamic Changes on Color Doppler Flow Imaging and Intravenous Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound for Assessing Transplanted Liver and Early Diagnosis of Complications

The value of color Doppler flow imaging （CDFI） and intravenous contrast-enhanced ultrasound （CEUS） for assessing the transplanted liver and early diagnosing complications by examining hemodynamic changes was discussed. Seventy-five patients with orthotopic liver transplantation （OLT） underwent CDFI. The following parameters were measured： peak systolic velocity （PS）, resistance index （ri） and Doppler perfusion index （DPI） of the hepatic artery （HA）, time average velocity （TAV） of portal vein （PV） and velocity of hepatic vein （HV） in different stages postoperation, And 11 patients of them received CEUS. Thirty healthy subjects were enrolled as controls, The results showed that：（1） In 23 patients without obvious complications, TAV of PV within 15 days post-operation was significantly higher than in controls （P〈0.05）, PS and DPI of HA within 7 days postoperation were lower, but ri was higher than in controls （P〈0.05）; （2） When the hepatic artery thrombosis （HAT） occurred, PS and DPI of HA were obviously decreased, but TAV of PV significantly increased like a high saw-tooth wave; （3） While rejection occurred, both TAV of PV and PS of HA were decreased with the increase in ri of HA, and the triphasic wave of HV disappeared and displayed as saw-tooth wave; （4） The incidence of biliary complications in liver transplantation was increased when DPI was reduced; （5） Seven cases of hepatic carcinoma relapse after OLT demonstrated hyperecho in the arterial phase and hypoecho in the portal and later phase on CEUS; （6） In 2 cases of HA thrombus, there was no visualized enhancement in arterial phase of CEUS, but enhancement during the portal vein and parenchymal phase. It was concluded that the hemodynamic changes of PV, HA and HV in the transplanted liver are valuable for assessing the transplanted liver and early diagnosing complications on CDFI and CEUS.

Background:Homeobox B8(HOXB8),a member of HOX family,plays a key role in the development of colorectal cancer(CRC).However,the function of HOXB8 in oxaliplatin(OXA)resistance in CRC is still *** study investigated the role and precise molecular mechanism of HOXB8 in OXA-resistant CRC ***:The cell viability was measured by the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT)assay,and the colony forming ability was determined by colony formation *** silencing RNA(siRNA)approach was used to knockdown HOXB8 in CRC cells while the lentiviral transfection system was used to establish stable HOXB8 overexpressing CRC *** protein and mRNA levels were evaluated by western blot and real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain ***:HOXB8 expression was upregulated in OXA-resistant HCT116 cells(HCT116/OXA)compared to its level in the parent HCT116 *** of HOXB8 significantly inhibited CRC cell growth by suppressing the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)***8 knockdown also potentiated cytotoxicity of OXA in CRC ***,HOXB8 overexpression attenuated OXAinduced growth inhibition of HCT116 cells and RKO cells by activating STAT3 ***8 knockdown effectively inhibited HCT116/OXA cell viability regardless of OXA treatment by suppressing STAT3 ***:These results shed light on the important functions of HOXB8 in OXA-resistant CRC and suggested that targeting HOXB8 might be an effective therapeutic strategy for select OXA-resistant CRC patients.

In this paper, the authors obtain the boundedness of the commutators of θ-type Calderón-Zygmund operators with RBMO functions from L∞(μ) into RBMO(μ) and from Hat1,∞(μ) into L1(μ), *** a consequence of these results, they establish the Lp(μ) boundedness of the commutators on the non-homogeneous metric spaces.

Let （X,d,μ） be a metric measure space satisfying both the upper doubling and the geometrically doubling conditions in the sense of HytSnen. Under this assumption, we prove that θ-type Calderon-Zygmund operators which are bounded on L2（μ） are also bounded from L∞（μ） into RBMO（μ） and from H1,∞at（μ） into L1（μ）.

Anomalous plasmon coupling and Fano resonance under structured light

Structured light carrying orbital angular momentum(OAM)opens up a new physical dimension for studying light–matter *** this,the complex fields created by OAM beams still remain largely unexplored in terms of their effects on surface *** paper presents a revelation of anomalous plasmon excitations in single particles and plasmon couplings of neighboring nanorods under OAM beams,which are forbidden using non-OAM *** plasmon excitation of single nanoparticles is determined both by photon spin angular momentum(SAM)and OAM and influenced by the locations of the ***,when SAM and OAM are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction,a pure plasmon excitation along light propagation direction is *** plasmon dipoles show end-to-end antibonding coupling and side-by-side bounding coupling,which are the opposite of the typical ***,we observe Fano resonance with a nanorod dimer:one aligned along light propagation direction acting as the bright mode and the other aligned along the global polarization direction of light acting as the dark mode,which is the opposite of the usual plasmonic Fano *** taking advantage of the unique property of the OAM source,this investigation presents a novel way to control and study surface plasmons,and the research of plasmon behavior with OAM would open new avenues for controlling electromagnetic waves and enriching the spectroscopies with more degrees of freedom.
