Nystagmus consists of involuntary to and fro eye movements and it can have a severe effect on vision and social *** nystagmus(CN) is a common(frequency of 1/1,500 live births) and genetically heterogeneous form of developmental nystagmus that usually presents at birth or within the first few months of *** inheritance models for CN are X-linked dominant,X-linked recessive, autosomal dominant and autosomal recessive forms.X-linked inheritance is likely the most common *** loci for autosomal dominant CN have been identified on 6pl2(NYS2),7p11.2(NYS3) and 13q31-q33(NY54).NYS4 involves vestibulocerebellar dysfunction and is clinically distinct from CN. X-linked CN has been associated with two physically independent loci(both symbolized NYS1) that map to Xp11.4-p11.3and *** addition,a locus for infantile periodic alternating nystagmus (NYS5),which often accompanies albinism,has been assigned to chromosome *** et al. identified multiple mutations in FRMD7 gene localizing to Xq26-27and responsible for a major part of X-linked CN(NYS1).This has also been confirmed by others.

A series of 7-substituted-benzylamino-4,5-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]quinoline derivatives was synthesized and evaluated for their anticonvulsant *** subcutaneous pentylenetetrazole test(sc-PTZ)demonstrated that the most effective compound in controlling the sc-PTZ induced seizure was 7-(3-bromine-benzylamino)-4,5-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]quinoline(4j)with an ED50 of 5.0 mg/kg and the PI of 20.7,which was also safer than the reference *** the maximal electroshock test(MES)demonstrated that among these derivatives,7-(3-fluorobenzylamino)-4,5-dihydro-[1,2,4]trizolo[4,3-a]quinoline(4i),with an ED50 of 15.3 mg/kg and the PI of 7.2,was the safest in MES ***,their neurotoxicities were measured by the rotarod neurotoxicity test,and the results showed that all derivatives possessed lower neurotoxicity.

Aim: To study effects of arachidonic acid （AA） and its metabolites on the hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase in calcium-activated potassium currents (IKCa) in gastric myocytes. Methods: Membrane currents were recorded by using a conventional whole cell patch-clamp technique in gastric myocytes isolated with collagenase. Results: Hyposmotic membrane stretch and AA increased both IK（Ca）and spontaneous transient outward currents significantly. Exogenous AA could potentiate the hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase in IK（Ca）The hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increase inK（Ca）was significantly suppressed by dimethyleicosadienoic acid （100 μmol/L in pipette solution）, an inhibitor of phospholipase A2. Nordihydroguaiaretic acid, a lipoxygenase inhibitor, significantly suppressed AA and hyposmotic membrane stretch-induced increases in IK（Ca）. External calcium-free or gadolinium chloride, a blocker of stretch-activated channels, blocked the AA-induced increase in IK（Ca）significantly, but it was not blocked by nicardipine, an L-type calcium channel blocker. Ryanodine, a calcium-induced calcium release agonist, completely blocked the AA-induced increase inK（Ca）; however, heparin, a potent inhibitor of inositol triphosphate receptor, did not block the AA-induced increase in IK（Ca）. Conclusion: Hyposmotic membrane stretch may activate phospholipase A2, which hydrolyzes membrane phospholipids to ultimately produce AA; AA as a second messenger mediates Ca2+influx, which triggers Ca2+-induced Ca2+release and elicits activation of IK（Ca）in gastric antral circular myocytes of the guinea pig.

Aim:To investigate the ultrastructural localization of atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP)-synthesizing cells and the relationship between ANP-synthesizing cellsand microvessels in rat gastric ***:Immunohistochemistry tech-niques and postembedding immunoelectron microscopy techniques were used tovalidate the findings regarding the expression of ANP-synthesizing cells and theultrastructural localization of ANP-synthesizing cells in the gastric ***-tochemistry techniques and the tannic acid-ferric chloride method(TA-Fe stain-ing method)were used to reveal microvessel density and the distribution of ANP-synthesizing cells in different regions of the ***:Cells expressingANP were localized and ANP-synthesizing cells were identified as enterochroma-ffin(EC)cells in the gastric ***-synthesizing cells existed in differentregions of the *** percentage ANP-synthesizing cells in the mucosawas greatest in the fundus(46.7%e5.3%),intermediate in the antrum(40.1%±4.5%),and least in the body(21.6%±3.6%).There was a positive relationshipbetween the percentage of ANP-synthesizing cells and the density of microvesselsin the antral mucosa,but not in the fundus or body ***:ANP issynthesized by EC cells in rat gastric mucosa,and ANP-synthesizing cells aremost dense in the gastric *** may act not only as a regional autocrineand/or paracrine regulator,but also as an endocrine regulatory peptide in thegastrointestinal tract.

Background: The incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer (CRC) in China are increasing in recent years. The clarified pathogenesis and detectable precancerous lesions of CRC make it possible to prevent, screen, and diagnose CRC at an early stage. With the development of endoscopic and surgical techniques, the choice of treatment for early CRC is also worth further discussion, and accordingly, a standard follow-up program after treatment needs to be ***: This clinical practice guideline (CPG) was developed following the recommended process of the World Health Organization, adopting Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) in assessing evidence quality, and using the Evidence to Decision framework to formulate clinical recommendations, thereby minimizing bias and increasing transparency of the CPG development process. We used the Reporting Items for practice Guidelines in HealThcare (RIGHT) statement and Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation II (AGREE II) as reporting and conduct guides to ensure the guideline’s completeness and ***: This CPG comprises 46 recommendations concerning prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance of CRC. In these recommendations, we have indicated protective and risk factors for CRC and made recommendations for chemoprevention. We proposed a suitable screening program for CRC based on the Chinese context. We also provided normative statements for the diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance of CRC based on existing clinical evidence and ***: The 46 recommendations in this CPG are formed with consideration for stakeholders’ values and preferences, feasibility, and acceptability. Recommendations are generalizable to resource-limited settings with similar CRC epidemiology pattern as China.

Percutaneous coronary interventions have progressed through the era of plain balloon dilation, bare-metal stent insertion to drug-eluting stent treatment, which has significantly reduced the acute occlusion and restenosis rates of target vessels and improved patient prognosis, making drug-eluting stents the mainstream interventional treatment for coronary artery disease. In recent years, drug-coated balloons(DCBs) have become a new treatment strategy for coronary artery disease, and the drugs used in the coating and the coating technology have progressed in the past years. Without permanent implant, a DCB delivers antiproliferative drugs rapidly and uniformly into the vessel wall via the excipient during a single balloon dilation. Many evidence suggests that DCB angioplasty is an effective measure for dealing with in-stent restenosis and de novo lesions in small coronary *** more clinical studies are published, new evidence is emerging for the use of DCB angioplasty in a wide range of coronary diseases, and the indications are expanding internationally. Based on the latest research from China and elsewhere, the Expert Writing Committee of the Chinese Expert Consensus on clinical Applications of Drug-Coated Balloon has updated the previous DCB consensus after evidence-based discussions and meetings in terms of adequate preparation of in-stent restenosis lesions, expansion of the indications for coronary de novo lesions, and precise guidance of DCB treatment by intravascular imaging and functional evaluation.

The Chinese Society of Critical Care medicine(CSCCM)has developed clinical practice guidelines for nutrition assessment and monitoring for patients in adult intensive care units(ICUs)in *** guideline focuses on nutrition evaluation and metabolic monitoring to achieve optimal and personalized nutrition therapy for critically ill *** guideline was developed by experts in critical care medicine and evidence-based medicine methodology and was developed after a thorough review of the system and a summary of relevant trials or studies published from 2000 to July 2023.A total of 18 recommendations were formed and consensus was reached through discussions and reviews by expert groups in critical care medicine,parenteral and enteral nutrition,and *** recommendations are based on currently available evidence and cover several key fields,including screening and assessment,evaluation and assessment of enteral feeding intolerance,metabolic and nutritional measurement and monitoring during nutrition therapy,and organ function evaluation related to nutrition *** question was analyzed according to the Population,Intervention,Comparison,and Outcome(PICO)*** addition,interpretations were provided for four questions that did not reach a consensus but may have potential clinical and research *** plan is to update this nutrition assessment and monitoring guideline using the international guideline update method within 3–5 years.
