The complementary DNA （cDNA） amplified fragment length polymorphism technique wasused to isolate transcript-derived fragments corresponding to genes involved in the flowering of tea *** sequence analysis of an approximately 300 bp differential fragment amplified by primer combi-nation E11M11revealed 80%-84% similarity to the corresponding part of an α-tubulin gene of other *** complete cDNA sequence of this α-tubulin was cloned by the rapid amplification of cDNA ends technique;its full length is 1537 bp and contains an open reading frame of 450 amino acid residues with two N-glycosylation sites and four protein kinase C phosphorylation *** deduced amino acid sequences didshow significant homology to the α-tubulin from other plants that has been reported to be a pollen-specificprotein and could be correlated with plant cytoplasm-nucleus-interacted male *** named this completecDNA *** nucleotide and amino acid sequence data of Tual have been recorded in the GenBanksequence database with the accession *** Tual gene was cloned into the pET-32aexpression system and expressed in Escherichia coli BL21trxB（DE3）.The molecular weight of expressedprotein was deduced to be approximately 49 *** blot analysis was used to identify the temporalexpression of Tual in tea *** studies of the effect of Tual protein on pollen tube growth indicatedthe Tual solution obviously promoted the growth of tea pollen tube.

Citral refined from Litsea cubeba oil has been found to have a strong influence on fungi, especially Aspergillus flavus. Multiplex microanalysis and quasi-elastic light scattering techniques were applied to study the effects of citral on Aspergillus flavus spores from the levels of membrane, organelle and intracellular macromolecule. It was found that citral injured the wall and the membrane of A. flavus spore, resulting in decrease of its elasticity. After entering the cell, citral not only influenced the genetic expression of mitochondrion reduplication and its morphology, but also changed the aggregation of protein-like macromolecules. As a result, cells, organelles and macromolecules lost their normal structures and functions, eventually leading to the loss of germination ability of A. flavus spores. Since Litsea cubeba oil as food additive and antifungal agent is safe and less poisonous, it is important to elucidate the inhibitory mechanisms of Litsea cubeba oil on the germination ability of A. flavus spore.

By means of the determinantal formulae for inverse and reciprocal differences with coincident data points, the limiting case of Thiele's interpolating continued fraction expansion is studied in this paper and given numerical example shows that the limiting Thiele's continued fraction expansion can be determined once for all instead of carrying out computations for each step to obtain each convergent as done in [3].

Melatonin-selenium nanoparticles protects liver against immunological injury induced by bacillus Calmette-Guérin and lipopolysaccharide

Aim: Melatonin-selenium nanoparticle (MT-Se), a novel complex, was synthesized by preparing selenium nanoparticles in a melatonin medium. The present investigation was designed to determine the protective effects of MT-Se against immunological liver injury in mice induced by bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG)/ lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Methods: The model of immunological liver injury in mice was prepared. The levels of alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, nitric oxide (NO) in serum, malondialdehyde content, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-px) activities in a liver homo-genate were assayed by spectrophotometry. The content of tumor necrosis fac-tor (TNF) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) were determined by ELISA. The splenocyte proliferation was assayed by 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetra-zolium bromide (MTT) dye reduction. Meanwhile, a hepatic pathological examination was observed. Results: In the BCG/LPS-induced hepatic injury model, MT-Se administered at doses of 5,10, or 20 mg/kg to the BCG/LPS-treated mice for 10 d significantly reduced the increase in serum aminotransferase, reduced the severe extent of hepatic cell damage and the immigration of inflammatory cells. It also attenuated the increase in the content of thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances and enhanced the decrease in activities of SOD and GSH-px. In contrast, the treatment with MT-Se suppressed the increase in NO level in both the serum and liver tissue. Furthermore, MT-Se significantly lowered an increase in TNF and IL-1 levels in the liver and inhibited the production of TNF and IL-1 by peritoneal macrophages. A downregulation effect of MT-Se on splenocyte proliferation was also observed. Conclusion: MT-Se showed a hepatic protective action on immunological liver injury in mice.

Aim:To investigate whether the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics ofrabeprazole are dependent on CYP2C19 genotype status in healthy Chinese ***:The CYP2C19 genotype status of healthy Chinese Hart volun-teers was determined using the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragmentlength polymorphism *** healthy subjects volunteered to participatein the *** were seven homozygous extensive metabolizers （homEM）,sixheterozygous extensive metabolizers （hetEM）,and seven poor metabolizers （PM）.All subjects were Helicobactor pylori-negative,which was determined by sero-logy and13C-urea breath *** （20 mg） was taken orally once daily inthe morning for 8 days,and intragastric pH values were monitored for 24 h byDigitrapper pH after day 1 （single dose） and day 8 （repeated dose）.Meanwhile,blood samples were collected at various time-points for 24 h after *** serum concentrations of rabeprazole were measured using high-performanceliquid ***:The mean area under the curve （AUC） values forrabeprazole differed among the three different genotype groups,with a relativeratio of 1.0,1.3,and 1.8 after a single dose and 1.0,1.1,and 1.7 after repeated dosesin the homEM,hetEM,and PM groups,*** AUC values forrabeprazole after a single dose and after repeated doses were significantly differ-ent between the homEM and PM groups,but not between the homEM and hetEMor hetEM and PM *** significant differences in intragastric pH median,pH>4 total time,and pH>4 time percentage of 24 h,were observed among the threedifferent genotype groups after a single dose or after repeated doses of ***:In healthy Chinese Hart subjects,the pharmacokinetics of rabeprazoleare dependent on a certain degree on CYP2C19 genotype status;however,theacid-inhibitory efficacy of rabeprazole is not influenced significantly by CYP2C 19genetic polymorphism.

This paper reports an investigation of the mechanical properties and the fracture mechanism of iron-based sintered alloy containing fine Cr-Fe powder particles 300 nm in size and in contents raging from 0.2-1.5 wt%. The iron-base alloy were sintered at 1120 ℃ for 40min. The results of the study revealed improvement in mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation and hardness of the sintered alloy. The fracture behaviors of the alloy were influenced significantly by the presence of Cr-Fe powder particles. The mechanical properties increased with increasing Cr content. Micrographs of fracture appeared dimple and quasi-cleavage.
