The forms and distribution of phosphorus in the sediments of poyang lake were studied using chemical extraction methods to understand the potential release and adsorption of *** results showed that phosphorus in the sediments mainly consisted of inorganic phosphorous species, including iron bound phosphorus,calcium bound phosphorus,aluminium bound phosphorus and dissolved phosphorus,as well as organic phosphorous *** spatial distribution of phosphorus species in surface sediments showed a decreasing trend from the outlet to the entrance of poyang *** content of total phosphorus in the surface sediments ranged from 688.29 to 825.36 mg/kg, and inorganic phosphorous was the major phosphorus *** bound phosphorus was the dominant form of inorganic phosphorous,accounting for greater than 40%of the total phosphorus, while calcium bound phosphorus and aluminium bound phosphorus accounted for more than 20%, and dissolved phosphorus accounted for less than 5%.The content of organic phosphorus in surface sediments was lower,accounting for less than 15%.Total phosphorus was positively correlated with iron bound phosphorus,aluminium bound phosphorus,calcium bound phosphorus and organic phosphorous,while organic phosphorous was positively correlated with iron bound phosphorus and aluminium bound phosphorus,but only weakly related to calcium bound *** all six sites, the contents of total phosphorus and phosphorus forms in the core sediments obviously decreased with depth,while they were significantly enriched in the surface *** total phosphorus and phosphorus forms contents were significantly higher in the upper layers and had a tendency to decrease toward the bottom of the core,regardless of the phosphorus *** addition,the average contents of total phosphorus and various phosphorus forms decreased rapidly with sediment depth from 0-20 cm,and then decreased slightly from 20-30 cm.

Atmospheric correction of HJ-1A/B CCD images over Chinese coastal waters using MODIS-Terra aerosol data

This paper demonstrates an atmospheric correction method to process HJ-1A/B CCD images over Chinese coastal waters with the aid of MODIS-Terra aerosol *** on the assumption of zero water-leaving radiance at the two near-infrared (NIr)bands or the shortwave infrared(SWIr)bands,the atmospheric aerosol optical depth(AOD)is firstly retrieved from MODIS-Terra with a simple extension of the NIr-SWIr combined atmospheric correction approach embedded in SeaDAS (SeaWiFS data analysis system).Then the"turbid"and"non-turbid"waters are separated by the turbid water *** probability of AOD at 551 nm band is derived based on the NIr information over"non-turbid"waters and FLAASH model is selected to do the atmospheric correction of the HJ-1A/B CCD imagery using the AOD values of highest probabilities as ***,according to the histogram of the AOD distribution at 551 nm band,the studied turbid water area is divided into several blocks and HJ-1A/B CCD imagery is corrected with the corresponding AOD values displayed with the highest frequency in each *** method has been applied to several HJ-1A/B images over Chinese coastal waters and validated by synchronous in-situ *** results have shown that this method is effective in the atmospheric correction process of HJ-1A/B CCD images for ocean color remote sensing study and application in the coastal waters.

Variation Characteristics of Water environmental Capacity in poyang lake under the Scheduling of Three Gorges reservoir

[Objective] The aim was to study the variation characteristics of water environmental capacity in poyang lake under the scheduling of Three Gorges reservoir.[Method] Choosing chemical oxygen demand (COD),total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (Tp) as the control indexes of pollutants in poyang lake,the variation characteristics of water environmental capacity in poyang lake under the scheduling of Three Gorges reservoir were analyzed based on the water environment mathematical models of organic compounds and nutrients.[result] After the operation of Three Gorges project,high water level in poyang lake lasted for a long time in flood season when Three Gorges reservoir increased discharge volume,while water level went down obviously with the accelerating of recession flow when reservoir decreased discharge volume to store water,so Three Gorges project had obvious effects on the hydrological regime of poyang *** 2009,when Three Gorges reservoir stored water,the water environmental capacity of COD,TN and Tp in poyang lake in October decreased by 14.0%,15.4% and 15.4% compared with those before operation,while they increased by 3.64%,4.88% and 4.88% in August when reservoir discharged water to prevent flood.[Conclusion] The study could provide scientific foundation for the water pollution control and water environment management of lakes.

A large-scale pig farms in Jiangxi province was researched ,a model of resource utilization for breeding wastewater was established with methane tank →clarifier →reservoir breeding →farmland irrigation. The results showed that the concentrations of COD, ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus of the treated wastewater were 59.13mg/L,1.15mg/L and 0.015mg/L respectively , the degradation rates of which were 24.2%,99.34%,93.85% separately. The fish bait of reservoir for fish culture was saved by discharging certain concentration wastewater into it while the organic matter in the aquiculture wastewater was degraded by ecosystem. The reservoir water was used later as irrigation water and organic matter in the aquiculture wastewater was degraded thoroughly, which decreased the cost of discharging sewage from farms, eliminating pig emission pollution to the environment and increasing crop yields. The above model was an ecomodel, not only treating cultivating wastewater but also recycling the waste water. The management of piggery wastewater and monitoring of reservoir water quality were suggested in order to avoid water eutrophication.

Effects of habitat configuration on biodiversity along gradients of forest cover on the Swiss plateau

The negative effects of habitat loss on biodiversity are undisputed,while the effect of habitat configuration,i.e.,the spatial arrangement of habitat area,has been debated for *** develop a more comprehensive understanding,it is important to know when and how configuration *** this study,we tested whether forest configuration influences the richness of species in groups characterized by varying shade tolerance in different ways and how such effects are related to habitat amount(i.e.,the percentage of forest cover)at the landscape *** on 104 survey plots(each measuring 1km^(2))of vascular plants on the Swiss plateau,and using two statistical approaches(i.e.,multiple regression and path analysis),we modeled the effects of habitat amount and configuration(measured as number of forest patches,total edge length,and proximity index)across all the plots and separately for three habitat amount classes:30%,and>30%forest *** we modeled all plots together,we found that,after controlling for habitat amount,the forest configuration significantly affected species *** we considered the different habitat amount classes separately,most of the significant effects of habitat configuration on species richness occurred only for habitat amounts ofrest ***,the response to forest configuration differed among species with different shade *** forest area wasr of patches and the total edge length on the species richness of light-demanding forest species were greater than the effect of habitat amount,whereas neither configuration metric affected the richness of shade-tolerant *** conclusion,our findings highlight the importance of configuration in landscapes with a small amount of *** the same time,they demonstrate that considering the confounding factors(*** traits)is important for understanding the effects of forest configuration on biodiversity and that genera

Dothideomycetes comprise a highly diverse range of fungi characterized mainly by asci with two wall layers(bitunicate asci)and often with fissitunicate *** species are saprobes,with many asexual states comprising important plant *** are also endophytes,epiphytes,fungicolous,lichenized,or lichenicolous *** occur in terrestrial,freshwater and marine habitats in almost every part of the *** accept 105 families in Dothideomycetes with the new families Anteagloniaceae,Bambusicolaceae,Biatriosporaceae,Lichenoconiaceae,Muyocopronaceae,paranectriellaceae,roussoellaceae,Salsugineaceae,Seynesiopeltidaceae and Thyridariaceae introduced in this *** family is provided with a description and notes,including asexual and asexual states,and if more than one genus is included,the type genus is also *** family is provided with at least one figure-plate,usually illustrating the type genus,a list of accepted genera,including asexual genera,and a key to these genera.A phylogenetic tree based on four gene combined analysis add support for 64 of the families and 22 orders,including the novel orders,Dyfrolomycetales,Lichenoconiales,Lichenotheliales,Monoblastiales,Natipusillales,phaeotrichales and *** paper is expected to provide a working document on Dothideomycetes which can be modified as new data comes to *** is hoped that by illustrating types we provide stimulation and interest so that more work is carried out in this remarkable group of fungi.
