In this paper,the image space analysis (for short,ISA) is employed to investigate variational in- equalities (for short,VI) with cone *** separation for VI with cone constraints is characterized by using the normal cone to a regularization of the image,and saddle points of the generalized Lagrangian func- ***-type necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for VI with cone constraints are presented by using a separation *** functions and weak sharpness for VI with cone constraints are also investi- ***,the obtained results are applied to standard and time-dependent traffic equilibria introduced by Daniele,Maugeri and Oettli.

We analyze the random disturbance in the transmission of light through a spinning Glan-Thompsontype prism *** disturbance makes the dependence of the transmission on the rotation angle significantly deviates from the Malus cosine-squared law and severely spoils the output light *** vibration of the polarizer as it rotates combing the multi-beam-interference effect raises the disturbance. Further analysis reveals the sensitive dependence of the disturbance on the composing material of the prism gap,and the appropriate selection of such material can make the disturbance minimize to very desirable *** model results show quite good agreement with experiments.

The symmetry-adapted perturbation theory (SAPT) that has the ability in decompo- sition of the total interaction energy into physically meaningful components is used to provide a more fundamental understanding of intermolecular forces. This work was motivated by the diffi- culty of standard SAPT in computing the intermolecular interactions for large energetic dimer systems. SAPT based on Kohn-Sham orbitals (SAPT(DFT)) proves computationally efficient for these large systems, but has been shown to perform poorly for interaction energy components. The deficiencies of SAPT(DFT) result from wrong asymptotical behaviors of commonly used exchange-correlation potentials. To remove the deficiencies, two asymptotic corrections by means of van Leeuwen and Baerends (LB) model potential and Fermi-Amaldi (FA) type potential were applied into three small test systems comprising He2, HF2 and (N2)2 and a set of larger ni- tramide dimers at several separations. The results showed that when utilizing newly developed frequency-dependent density susceptibilities (FDDS) technique for computing dispersion energy, the FA asymptotic correction is very effective to circumvent these deficiencies in SAPT(DFT) and yields a good accuracy over the LB correction. The FA corrected SAPT(DFT) approach is capa- ble of correctly predicting all the quantitative trends in binding energies for all test cases and substantially reduces computational cost as compared with the standard SAPT calculations. The successful application of the approach to nitramide dimer demonstrates that it potentially pro- vides a good means to calculate accurately intermolecular forces in larger system such as en- ergetic systems.

Replication is a widely used technique in unstructured overlays to improve content availability or system performance. A fundamental question often addressed by previous work focused on: how many replicas ought to be allocated for each data item given the fixed query rates and limited storage capability? In this paper, we have put forth two optimal replica distributions to achieve the highest success rate and the lowest message consumption. Especially, we have investigated the influence of item size on replica distribution. Our results show that Square-Root Replication, which is traditionally considered to be optimal, is not always the best choice. Our study offers a new deep understanding of resource managment in self-organized unstructured overlays.

In this paper, two sub-grid scale (SGS) models are introduced into the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM), i.e., the dynamics SGS model and the dynamical system SGS model, and applied to numerically solving three-dimensional high Re turbulent cavity flows. Results are compared with those obtained from the Smagorinsky model and direct numerical simulation for the same cases. It is shown that the method with LBM dynamics SGS model has advantages of fast computation speed, suitable to simulate high Re turbulent flows. In addition, it can capture detailed fine structures of turbulent flow fields. The method with LBM dynamical system SGS model dose not contain any adjustable parameters, and can be used in simulations of various complicated turbulent flows to obtain correct information of sub-grid flow field, such as the backscatter of energy transportation between large and small scales. A new average method of eliminating the inherent unphysical oscillation of LBM is also given in the paper.

To understand how NO2 reacts with sea salt particles in the atmosphere of Mega-cities in coastal zones,the heterogeneous reaction of NO2 on the surface of wet sea salt was investigated with diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and ion chromatography (IC).Kinetic measurements indicated that nitrate formation on sea salt was second order in NO 2 concentration and reactive uptake coefficients were (5.51 ± 0.19) × 10-7 and 1.26 × 10-6 respectively under 0% and 20% relative humidity (RH) at NO 2 molecular concentration of 1.96 × 1015 mol/*** results showed that liquid water was formed at the site of MgCl2·6H2O,CaCl2·2H2O on the surface of sea salt and made the reaction more sustainable by releasing hydrated water and absorbing water from air even under a low RH (30%).Therefore,pure NaCl particles should not be used to represent sea salt in studies of the heterogeneous reaction with NO2.

A novel text independent speaker identification system is proposed. In the proposed system, the 12-order perceptual linear predictive cepstrum and their delta coefficients in the span of five frames are extracted from the segmented speech based on the method of pitch synchronous analysis. The Fisher ratios of the original coefficients then be calculated, and the coefficients whose Fisher ratios are bigger are selected to form the 13-dimensional feature vectors of speaker. The Gaussian mixture model is used to model the speakers. The experimental results show that the identification accuracy of the proposed system is obviously better than that of the systems based on other conventional coefficients like the linear predictive cepstral coefficients and the Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients.

The problem of sate feedback control for discrete-time fuzzy systems with Takagi-Sugeno's models is investigated to reduce the computational burden.A stabilization condition is obtained by applying a new Lyapunov *** is shown that our new theorem is equivalent to an existing result in guaranteeing the stability of the fuzzy system but consumes less computational time than the *** effectiveness and the superiority of the proposed design approach are demonstrated by an example borrowed from the literature.
