CD134, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, plays a crucial role in T cell survival. In this study, peripheral blood mononuclear cells （PBMCs） stimulated with phytohemagglutinin （PHA, 50 μg/ml） were treated by CD134 mAb （1μg/ml, 5 μg/ml, 10 μg/ml） for 6 h, 12 h, 24 h and 48 h. The level of perforin mRNA was measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） technique. Our data showed that the expression of perforin mRNA in PBMCs was down-regulated by CD134 mAb in a dose-dependent manner in range of 1 μg/ml to 5 μg/ml and dropped down to its minimum on 24 h （p 〈 0.05）. The level of perforin mRNA reached a plateau when the concentration of CD134 mAb exceeded 5 μg/ml. In conclusion, CD134 mAb can inhibit perforin expression, which may enhance the ability of T cells for survival. Cellular ＆ Molecular Immunology. 2005;2（6）： 467-471.

Aim:To observe the effects of sodium ferulate （SF） on amyloid beta （Aβ）1-40-induced p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK） signal transduction path-way and the neuroprotective effects of ***:Rats were injectedintracerebroventricularly with Aβ*** hours after injection,Western blottingwas used to determine the expressions of phosphorylated mitogen-activated pro-tein kinase kinase （MKK）3/MKK6,phospho-p38 MAPK,interleukin （IL）-1β,phospho-MAPK activating protein kinase 2 （MAPKAPK-2）,the 27 kDa heat shockprotein （Hsp27）,procaspase-9,-3,and-7 cleavage,and poly （ADP-ribose） poly-merase （PARP） *** days after injection,Nissl staining was used toobserve the morphological change in hippocampal CA1 ***:Intracerebroventricular injection of Aβ1-40induced an increase in phosphorylatedMKK3/MKK6 and p38 MAPK expressions in hippocampal *** increases,in combination with enhanced interleukin （IL）-1β protein expression and reducedphospho-MAPKAPK2 and phospho-Hsp27 expression,mediate the Aβ-inducedactivation of cell death events as assessed by cleavage of procaspase-9,-3,and -7and caspase-3 substrate PARP *** with SF （100 mg/kg and 200mg/kg daily,3 weeks） significantly prevented Aβ1-40-induced increases in phos-phorylated MKK3/MKK6 and p38 MAPK *** Aβ1-40-induced in-crease in IL-1β protein level was attenuated by pretreatment with *** addition,Aβ1-40-induced decreases in phosphorylated MAPKAPK2 and Hsp27 expressionwere abrogated by administration of *** parallel with these findings,Aβ1-40-induced changes in activation of caspase-9,caspase-7,and caspase-3 wereinhibited by pretreatment with SE Conclusion:SF prevents Aβ1-40-induced neu-rotoxicity through suppression of MKK3/MKK6-p38 MAPK activity and IL-1expression and upregulation of phospho-Hsp27 expression.

In this paper, we first establish a truncated Second Main Theorem for algebraically nondegenerate holomorphic mappings from the complex plane into a complex projective variety V intersecting hypersurfaces. We then prove some uniqueness results for meromorphic mappings. The result of Demailly about a partial solution to the Fujita’s conjecture is used.

It is proved that, for 1〈p〈∞.T＊Ω,α,βis a bounded operator from the homogeneous Sobolev space Lα,β^p（R^n×R^m）to the Lebesgue space L^p（R^n×R^m）.

The changes of decay rates of radionuclide 111In(electron capture) and 32P(β decay) induced by exter-nal mechanic motion are studied. The results indicate that,in the external circular rotation in clockwise and anticlockwise centrifuge on Northern Hemisphere(radius 8 cm,2000 r/min) ,the half life of 111In compared with the referred(2.83 d) is decreased at 2.83% and increased at 1.77%,respectively;the half life of 32P compared with the referred(14.29 d) is decreased at 3.78% and increased at 1.75%,respec-tively. When the clockwise and anticlockwise rotations increase to 4000 r/min,the half life of 111In is decreased at 11.31% and increased at 6.36%,respectively;the half life of 32P is decreased at 10.08% and increased at 4.34%,respectively. When the circular rotation is removed,the decay rates of 111In and 32P return back to the referred,respectively. It is found that the external circular rotations in clockwise and anticlockwise centrifuge selectively increased and decreased the decay rates of 111In and 32P,respec-tively,and the effects are strongly dependent on the strength of circular rotation. It is suggested that these effects may be caused by the chiral interaction.

Glycomics comparison was carried out by screening melanoma serum biomarkers between C57 mice with and without B16 implanted. O-glycans were released from 10 μL sera by β-elimination, purified by Graphitized Carbon Cartridge Solid Phase Extraction (GCC-SPE) and analyzed by MALDI-QIT-TOF-MS. MS raw data were acquired and exported by Launchpad software. MATLAB was then applied for further data analysis. 10 Glycans were considered to have stable changes after B16 implantation and 5 of them were under structural analysis via MS/MS.
